Fantastic experience: I’ve worked out in several strongman/powerlifting gyms in many different parts of the world and I cannot stress enough how great this gym is. My coach is Ian Benson, and the level of planning and knowledge is a different pedigree! The facility is clean, the other lifters are incredibly supportive, and you’ll absolutely become your best self here!

Fantastic experience: Only started a few months ago but everything about this gym exceeded all of my expectations. Everyone is so friendly and motivating. You could walk into the gym crying and still come out laughing at the end of your training. The coaches genuinely want the best results for you and Emma has seriously helped me to lift more than I ever have already. I've entered a competition already and more than excited for another Of course there's some fantastic equipment, the gym is very clean and there's always someone to hand to answer any questions or to help.

Fantastic experience: Been training with urban barbell now for awhile and I have been really enjoying it. I find it to not just a gym but an amazing community, it’s a place to stay healthy and train but also to make friends and have some fun. The trainers Ian and Emma are great and very helpful not just with in the gym but nutrition and general advise. I’ve enjoyed training with everyone on zoom as the gym has been up keeping the training program with covid 19. Brilliant gym, brilliant service and outstanding trainers. Keep up the great work

Fantastic experience: Started off my fitness journey over 4 years ago in this gym. I was given the opportunity to try powerlifting and now I'm hooked. Its part of my life now with the added bonus of all the friendships I've made along the way. Great atmosphere, community and excellent equipment and all under the watchful eye of knowledgeable and helpful coaches.

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym I’ve trained in. Phenomenal standard of powerlifting equipment, all ipf comp spec kit. Knowledgable coaching staff on site all day. Friendly atmosphere and kept spotless. If you’re looking to get stronger, then this is the place to go. Opening hours are excellent also and make it easy to have no excuse to miss sessions despite occasionally erratic hospital shifts
