We have stayed there regularly for the last number of years and love the hotel the staff and the location is great ,easy walk to bars restraunts and shops and we are looking forward to our next visit allready. 5 stars everytime thanks.

Fantastic experience: Nice modern hotel in the middle of Cork City, just a walk from both the main bus station and train station. Plus if you're driving it has car park space. Easy to get to and once you're there it's beautiful. The rooms are very tidy and the style is modern. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is self service (except tea/coffee and most egg variations except scrambled), but it still delicious with food choice ranging from Irish breakfast to fruits to cereals and pastries. I really loved my stay here and if you're looking for a hotel in Cork that's well connected this is a great place.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend highly enough. From the moment we arrived until we left everything was perfect from the rooms down to the food. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful break and we will definitely go again.

Fantastic experience: Stayed for the weekend with my daughter for her birthday. On arriving in the room was a surprise birthday plate. Room was spacious and clean, beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully Majella and her team were so nice and attentive. Also aisha in the restaurant was very helpful . Will definitely recommend

Fantastic experience: I was really impressed with the staff at this hotel. The rooms looked new and clean, the pool area and steam room was nice (make sure you book). The staff were really amazing. It felt like 5 star service. They had no shortage of staff at their restaurant or bars unlike every other hotel at the moment. A few little great experiences I had with staff. They walked me to show me where things were in the hotel rather than pointed. The were able to change my room because of a problem I had and not due to them, even though it was a busy weekend. Thank you for a great stay, I will recommend you hotel.

Fantastic experience: Majella and her team were excellent and so accommodating at breakfast. The leisure centre staff were lovely and welcoming. All facilities were very well maintained and clean and we had a very enjoyable stay!

Fantastic experience: I've never stayed here, but I've dined here and attended a number of meetings / conferences. In an excellent location close to the city centre but easily accessible from the Dublin Rd or the South Ring Rd. Nice selection of meeting rooms of various sizes. Extensive Bar / Restaurant menu. All of my menu choices were very tasty. I will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience: I stayed here for a week long business trip. The room was spacious, bright and cleaned daily. There was all the basic amenities such as a kettle, iron/ironing board, large TV and lots of storage. The bed was comfy and the blackout curtains and sound insulation in the room made for a good nights sleep. Staff were all very firendly and helpful, especially the staff running the breakfast service (which was really good quality with a wide range of options). The location was really good too, within walking distance of lots of resturants and bars. There is also a car park below the hotel (Lapps Quay Car Park, with overnight parking costing around €12-€15).

Fantastic experience: What a class hotel, we stayed in an amazing balcony room for our anniversary, on arrival to our room we found an anniversary card, chocolates and drinks vouchers for us for the bar, very nice thought.. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the food and service was class, we can't wait to stay again!!

Fantastic experience: I have been celebrating the Holy Communion of my daughter. The menu was excellent, also the wine list and the service. I would strongly recommend this place if you are planning an event in Cork. Great location, incredible service and delicious food

Fantastic experience: Stayed for one night. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff were all very friendly from reception to the bar team. One employee that really stood out and had excellent customer service was Majella who was part of the breakfast team. Every person that was coming in through the door she made feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Really good vegetarian/plant based options for dinner.

Fantastic experience: Perfectly situated with only 5 minute walk from the city centre. I had a fantastic stay at the Clayton. Rooms are modern, clean and large enough for a city hotel. However, I did notice that TV volumes are capped at level 40, which can sometimes result in not being able to fully enjoy a film or show. Very minor observation also included a tall female staff member at the front desk that didn't appear very welcoming once checking in. However, would definitely return

Fantastic experience: Well located hotel, 5 mi walk to the center. Made a phone reservation (with Colin if I remember), seems like a very nice employee and all went well. We were welcomed by Dean ( if I remember again...) and again, great introduction to the hotel. It looks like all precautions were taken as regards of the Covid-19. Definitely would recommend and would probably stay there again.

Fantastic experience: Great hotel friendly staff. Excellent room lots of space with a balcony too. Really nice food. I'd like to try the restaurant but with covid all meals are delivered to your room. One thing though I thought the menu was rather expensive 17euros for a burger is a little rich for my blood but I wasn't paying so happy days. I came back to write extra on this review and upgrade it because the staff have been so helpful during my stay they couldn't do enough for me and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend went there for a theater performance several years ago. Now, I understand that we should have left a review then. Regardless, the hotel is situated perfectly in the city. The view is outstanding. You are close to all the amenities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Currently, they have been taking only essential guests. This is wonderful. They're wheelchair accessible. There is wheelchair accessible parking nearby.

Fantastic experience: Have been staying in the Clarion Cork since it opened when I visit from Dublin. Excellent hotel, always spotless. Friendly staff. Central locations as we love to park up the car (in their secure carpark underneath) and walk the few moments to the main shopping district and restaurants etc. I would strongly recommend staying there. Special mention to their manager Conor who goes out of his way to make our stay special.

Fantastic experience: We were of course unsure of what to expect regarding staying in a hotel again since the pandemic, but all of the team at the Clayton Cork City were so warm and friendly, even with their masks or visors on, we felt very at ease. The hotel is very well kept, food is great and pool has the best temperature and size. Shout out to Wayne who was our waiter on both nights, and Paul who greeted us for breakfast in the morning.

Positive experience: Stayed at this hotel last week, staff very nice and helpful, food was not very good , bedroom was nice but very stuffy , found it expensive for what we got.

Fantastic experience: Booked 2 rooms for a family night away. Check in excellent, family room not ready but no issue. Rooms very good especially family room which was spacious. Small gripe: if 3 in room please leave 3 cups, 3 towels etc, got extra towel from housekeeping trolley next morning. Requested milk, extra cup and biscuits (1 in room) that evening but never arrived. Breakfast was excellent, both food quality and service. The manager was really good and we all gave breakfast 10/10. Hotel is central to the city and is walking distance to almost everything, will definitely return.

Fantastic experience: On arrival I was met with very friendly staff who were happy to help. My room exceeded my expectations if I'm honest it was very spacious and comfortable. I went to the bar for my dinner which was also very good. Breakfast the next morning didn't disappoint either. There was a great selection to choose from.

Fantastic experience: Our stay at the Clayton in Cork was very nice. It was very clean, rooms were well-appointed and laid out well. The The lobby/bar area was also very nice, plenty of comfy seating and place to grab a bite or a pint. Very handy having a coffee shop just outside the door too as well as being situated on the river. Made for some good visuals which sipping your drink of choice on the boardwalk. It was also very convenient to tour/travel options as well as good proximity to restaurants and pub choices.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stayed for four nights at the Clayton Hotel and found the experience delightful. The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed, with a great view of the city and river. The staff, from reception, restaurant and housekeeping were all very helpful, friendly and courteous.. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The stay there made the visit a great success

Fantastic experience: The hotel is a nice modern hotel, staff are very welcoming and friendly. We had a package deal and found the menu a bit limited especially as we were staying 3 nights. Also the pool is extremely noisy, could do with something on the ceiling to deaden the sound a bit. Overall it was very good, would love to stay here again.
