Located in the heart of Carrick-on-Suir, the **Sean Kelly Sports Centre** is a premier, non-profit community health initiative dedicated to promoting fitness and wellness for residents of Tipperary, Kilkenny, and Waterford. Since its official opening in 1994, the centre has served as a vital hub for physical activity, combining modern facilities with a strong community focus.

The facility features a **20-meter swimming pool** designed with safety and versatility in mind. It includes a dedicated children’s section separated by a narrow lane for young swimmers, alongside a designated area for advanced lane swimming. Whether you are looking to learn the basics or train for competition, the pool also houses the **sauna and steam room**, perfect for recovery and relaxation after a workout. The centre boasts an **outdoor, floodlit running track** (approx. 100m), utilized by the local athletics club and available to members for their personal training needs.

For land-based fitness, the **fully equipped gym** is located on the top floor and offers a comprehensive selection of modern equipment. The gym is divided into three key zones: **Cardio** (including treadmills, spin bikes, and rowing machines), **Weights** (featuring free weights, Smith machine, and resistance machines), and **High-Intensity Training** areas. The competitive membership rates provide excellent value, granting unlimited access to the pool, gym, and steam facilities.

One of the centre’s standout offerings is its comprehensive **Swimming Lessons** program, taught by qualified and experienced instructors. Catering to all ages and abilities, classes range from toddler "Duckling" sessions (ages 2.5–4) to beginner and improver groups, private 1-to-1 coaching, and coached lane swimming for those preparing for club entry. Additionally, the centre provides **Aqua Aerobics** for low-impact fitness. With a highly qualified team, including certified lifeguards and swim teachers, Sean Kelly Sports Centre ensures a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for everyone.
