Ashbourne ITF Taekwon-Do Club

Located in the heart of Ashbourne, the ITF Taekwon-Do Club is a full-time martial arts centre dedicated to transforming beginners into confident, disciplined Black Belts. Under the leadership of Head Instructor Paul King—a distinguished figure with over 30 years of experience and the Irish National Team Coach since 2013—the club boasts an impressive track record of developing champions, including Paris 2024 Olympian Jennifer Lehane and multiple World and European Champion Sarah Lehane.

Ashbourne Taekwon-Do offers structured programs tailored for every age and ability. The Juniors programme (ages 4–6) is uniquely led by local primary school teachers, ensuring age-appropriate guidance that builds balance, coordination, and early self-belief. For older children (7–12), classes channel youthful energy into discipline and resilience while teaching authentic martial arts skills. Adult classes (18+) provide a high-energy environment to improve fitness, sharpen focus, and learn practical self-defence within a supportive community.

Beyond physical technique, the club focuses on holistic personal development. Students cultivate real-world confidence, mental focus, and the resilience to overcome challenges both on and off the mats.
