Dolores Whelan Aquatics

Fantastic experience: I have done numerous Aqua aerobics and Aqua flex and tone classes with Dolores. She must put such alot of time in the planning and preparation of these classes because every class is different, varied, interesting and so enjoyable all the while focusing on a different muscle group with every exercise executed. She is approachable and always willing to listen to us ,the participants as she structures each class according to our preferences, abilities and age demographics. These classes are the highlight of my week. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Aqua Fit is an energetic and fun aqua workout. We get to experience different techniques and a variety of equipment. Dolores is a supportive and innovative instructor and I would highly recommend these sessions. My goals are to improve my strength, balance and overall fitness. The range of exercises covered in the aqua aerobic class target all these areas and build in intensity week on week. Every session is hard work and lots of fun.

Fantastic experience: Dolores Whelan's Aqua Fitness classes are a very unique experience. Dolores' classes exude expertise and enthusiasm in Aquatics and aqua fitness. When I first went along to a class in the hydrotherapy pool in Dooradoyle, encouraged by good friends who had benefitted greatly, it was the day of the week and time of the class that appealed to me. However, from my first encounter, it was obvious that Dolores has so much more to offer. I would encourage everybody to go along and try it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed......

Fantastic experience: I joined the aqua aerobics class flex and flow to start getting my muscles back to the way they used be . I love the class and the aqua aerobics ,it's great to do aqua fitness as there is no pressure on your joints, and Dolores is very good as an instructor and has loads of patience and you don't feel pressure into doing stuff your not able to . I have come on so much, and it's all down to aqua fitness and our brilliant instructor.

Fantastic experience: I definitely would recommend this lady for aqua aerobics or aquafitness, top class instructor does not put undue pressure on you to keep up with the class a few months back I was terrified of going into a pool, but with Dolores help I have lost a lot of the fear and truly enjoyed our flex and flow class. The aquafitness class has definitely improved my health.

Fantastic experience: Dolores has had our 2 boys for swimming lessons for the past 2 years. The boys always look forward to the classes. The classes have are well structured, boys spend all the lesson time in the water as class sizes are small. Dolores has a great passion for swimming, a great personality and has a lovely rapport with the children. It's been great to see how they have progressed through the lessons, their swim techniques and confidence have improved and they love the pool and swimming in general. Fantastic experience: I attended adult swim lessons with Dolores. It was a hugely positive experience, at times when I found aspects of learning challenging, Dolores was so encouraging, positive and patient. I found Dolores to have a great balance of fun, focus, confidence and strong interpersonal skills, this lent to a relaxed pool experience and week on week my confidence grew and in turn my swimming developed. Fantastic experience: Dolores is a superb swim instructor. I have been taking swimming lessons with her for a few months and have gone from having zero confidence in the pool to being very comfortable in the water. Thanks to her, I can now do front crawl, breast stroke & back stroke! Dolores is patient & explains things really well. Learning to swim with her was great fun too.

Fantastic experience: Dolore's 'SWET' classes are brill. Great to shake off aches and pains with excellent moves in a fun environment. If you want to tone up for your summer bikini, you should come to these classes!!!

She is a wonderful instructor she’s so knowledgeable and always doing courses to keep ahead. From a personal opinion she’s a fabulous lady with an infectious laugh and very enjoyable to be around.

Fantastic experience: Both of my children attend swimming lessons with Dolores and love it. My son has been going for some time now and his swimming has really improved. My daughter is a new student but she really enjoys the lessons and is gaining in confidence and ability. Dolores has a great way with children. She is encouraging and kind and I would recommend her classes to anyone who wants to build their child's water confidence and swimming skills.

Fantastic experience: I love Dolores "S'WET, Aquafit and Aqua Combat classes. They are great fun with a lovely classmates. My flexibilty and body strength have greatly increased.

Fantastic experience: Combat aqua, What can I say it's quite challenging however a fantastic workout. Delores is so Professional and has such an understanding of her Clients needs. For me its freedom and for 30 minutes in the class I'm in my own world no demands just a complete work out where I'm focused..100%. Delores totally brings out the best in me.

Fantastic experience: I attend both an aqua combat and a S'WET class with Dolores and I cannot recommend them highly enough! My body strength and agility have benefitted enormously from these classes so much so that on a recent air trip I found myself able to put my own own and others luggage into the overhead storage very easily, an activity with which I would previously have struggled!! Plus the classes, whilst rigorous, are also really fun and enjoyable, I rarely want them to end!

Fantastic experience: I started taking swimming classes with Doleres about two years ago. I can not recommend her classes more. She is so patient and has a great way of explaining techniques regardless of your age. I am in my early thirties and I am able to swim properly for the first time ever. I just completed the 'Swim for a Mile' all thanks to Doleres!!

Fantastic experience: My boys have been in both group and individual lessons with Dolores for a number of years. She gives a superb service. Dolores teaches each child from where they are in that moment, taking into account children's different learning styles, different coping skills and different attention levels. She knows instinctively when to pause and when to give that gentle push knowing when the child is ready to progress. We can't wait to get back into the pool when restrictions lift.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is currently learning how to swim with Dolores and she a great swim teacher. After each lesson my daughter gets more and more confident in the water. I would highly recommend Dolores.

Fantastic experience: Dolores is a great teacher, she transforms a unsure child into a confident swimmer. My little girls started by not allowing water in her face, to going and staying under water for as long as she could manage. Dolores is great with the kids, her classes are not crowded and the attention is spread equally through child, there's a great rewarding system, diverse activity capture child's attention and engagement. Swimming sessions happen at convenient times, facility to move them to different times if availability is there and move up the ladder if the child has improved to the next level. I cannot recommend Dolores enough. Can't wait to bring them back swimming and enroll my little boy.

Fantastic experience: Dolores is an excellent swim instructor. My son went from being terrified of the water to happily participating in the pool within a matter of weeks. Dolores was patient and encouraging at all times and has a great connection with the kids. I’d highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Dolores enough. My son wouldn’t put his face in the water after 10 lesions elsewhere. Dolores had him making faces under the water after 3 lessons. She has a fabulous way with children and the patience’s of a saint!!!

Fantastic experience: Dolores has a real passion for what she does, she has been teaching my daughter to swim for the past couple years, with exception of covid, it was clear to see the confidence and skills my daughter has gained from her when we did a staycation last summer and my 6yr old was swimming unaided in the waters of Kerry, thank you Dolores, my 2yr old will be heading your way soon x
