Fantastic experience: I'm a new member and as someone who hadn't used a gym in years, I was a little but worried about joining, however the team there treat everyone with such respect and are so supportive! Also there's such diversity in members that it's not intimidating, it feels like everyone is there for same reason and there's zero judgement!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic equipment and loads of space within the gym. All areas of the gym are kepted to a very high standard. Staff are very welcoming and helpful if you need assistance. Opened 7 days a week and parking is never an issue. Very happy customer

Fantastic experience: Good gym overall, staff are helpful and friendly equipment and machines are top of the range all in working order and very clean. Signs remind members to clean down machines and gear which is appreciated. Only critique is about the app not showing where the classes are whether being upstairs in the yard or down in the studio, but this is external to my overall satisfaction with the gym itself

Positive experience: I'm a new member to this gym and I must say the staff were very helpful in getting my account set up..they are always a phone call away for u if you need to ask any questions. The classes are also really great ! You can do a full workout without having to think about it. You just listen to your instructor and do your best. The instructors are very helpful in showing you how to use the equipment properly too. 4 stars as I'm only a new member, this may change to 5 the longer I use the gym.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym 2 months ago, it was great to have a free trial before committing to the membership. All of the trainers are friendly, knowledgable and helpful. There is a wide variety of classes at different times throughout the day to suit any schedule. The gym is bright and clean with plenty of space and available equipment even at peak times. I am really happy to have joined, a brilliant experience so far.

Fantastic experience: Easy to access in town. Staff are helpful. Classes available and spin is great. Self check in /out gates makes it’s easy to come and go. Open at 6.30am.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to this gym for the past 8 months, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming, approachable, and always willing to help. The facilities are spotless and well-maintained. What really sets this gym apart, though, are the classes – they are fantastic! The trainers are knowledgeable, motivating, and the variety of classes keeps me coming back for more. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: This gym is great with many of the staff being extremely helpful. The gym is always kept tidy and neat. Hand dispensers should be provided at the door to ensure customer safety. From 5pm to 7pm the gym is jam packed. Would recommend going there around those hours. More AC units are needed as the gym is too hot during the day.

Fantastic experience: Great classes, plenty of options. Lots of equipment, no queues or waiting, ample parking next door. App is great. So many online options also to do in your own time at home. Well worth the investment, in yourself.

Positive experience: If the gym is not open, it should be indicated somewhere. It says on the website that it is not busy. not open at all. I know it's a bank holiday, but if you're not open, don't say you're open. Thanks for the quick response

Negative experience: Edit in response to owner: Hi there, The 1-star isnt because 'it wasnt to my liking' regarding the notice, it was because your resorted to threatening to send debtors immediately. It's your choice to take this incredibly light criticism poorly and not take the opportunity to improve your ability to speak to customers. I attempted to give notice in the gym as instructed on the website and staff wouldn't process it, which isn't great service really.

Negative experience: I regret to share my disappointing experience with Énergie fitness Ballincollig. I recently faced a situation where, due to a relocation, I needed to terminate my membership. However, the rigid policies in place left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. Upon notifying the gym about my move, I was informed that I would still be obligated to pay for an additional month, despite the impossibility of utilizing the facilities. This lack of flexibility in accommodating genuine life changes is disheartening and, in my opinion, reflects poorly on the gym's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Fantastic experience: I joined énergie in Ballincollig in April this year when they first opened. I had put on weight and my fitness had gone downhill in the months preceding so I wanted to get back in shape for an upcoming holiday. I started out doing classes, there’s a huge variety and something for everyone’s taste. Classes are suited to all abilities and the trainers are brilliant for giving alternative exercises if a particular exercise doesn’t suit. All the instructors are really friendly and welcoming and great at motivating you to push a little more if you want that. My fitness has honestly skyrocketed since joining, I feel great and have recently started doing more of my own workouts more however I still enjoy joining classes. My favourite classes are body pump, Trx and boot camp. There’s a great range of equipment available and the space is well used. It’s a great addition to Ballincollig

Fantastic experience: Joined energise recently- staff are so helpful, before joining Roisin gave me a tour of the gym and on my first session Killian helped me to use a smith machine which i’d never used before. In terms of equipment and space, couldn’t be better! Lots of cardio equipment, free weights, machines and space for stretching, walking lunges ect as well as extra resources like trx equipments, an array of classes and lots more!

Fantastic experience: New and modern technogym equipment is fantastic, very friendly staff and very clean also. The gym is fairly quiet which is a real plus, machines readily available. The variety of Classes offered are excellent and are very well run by all members of staff! Looking forward to many more workouts here.

Positive experience: "Disappointed" would be the best word to describe my first impression of the new Energie gym in Ballincollig. I was really looking forward to it opening as it's only 3 mins from my house. All of the equipment is new so I suppose that's a positive, the big negative is, there's nowhere near enough of it. 6 tread mills! if the place is even half full there will be more than 6 people looking to use a treadmill. They have so much space in the unit and very little equipment filling it, none of the more modern type gear (curved running machine, ski machine etc..). I really hope they'll be installing air conditioning because it will be melting in there in the summer months. The business model around offering a relatively cheap membership is to attract large numbers, how on earth can a gym with so little equipment handle 50+ people at one time? (which isn't a lot for a busy evening). By the way there's no actual changing rooms, it's about 24 lockers along a wall and 4 or 5 small single shower rooms to be used by everyone. If you're going to join, have a good look at what isn't there more than what is! No water fountain to refill water bottles, no stand alone pullup/dipping bars, no calf raises machine, no abs machine, no matted area for stretching (as of yet). I've given 3 stars (which I think is generous) because the Yard area is a good addition, and I've yet to try the classes. I do hope that this new gym is a work in progress and there will be further additions to the range of equipment, I've been to other Energie gyms that were much better equipped. For the moment I'll keep my membership but I would say, there are definitely better equipped gyms in Ballincollig for only a little more membership fee. I realise it's not very fair to leave a negative review to a new business, but this is a franchise model which should not be lacking in so many areas especially if they were taking memberships before opening! And I won't even go into why they opened with so much electrical and plumbing work still being carried out. Replying to the Energie Fitness response, Just because someone leaves a less than favourable review doesn't mean you can just label them a competitor! Check your membership list, I signed up in advance for a one year subscription. As a customer I am entitled to an opinion, and I stand by my review for now. It is my "personal opinion" that there is not enough equipment, you disagree, fair enough! I guess time will tell once the membership numbers increase. However it is a fact that you don't have an actual changing room, a water refill station, or any visible air conditioning system. (all of which left me as I said a bit "disappointed"). If you cannot accept an honest personal critique, and take such umbrage with any review which isn't glowing, then I will gladly accept a full refund on my subscription and we can part company.

Negative experience: AVOID - tried to cancel 5 times by email, web form and phone call…but they still keep the account open and they keep ringing me to say I owe money and trying to take from my DD. Every time I speak to someone they say ,oh don’t worry it’s cancelled, but then another phone call the following day for money? Some background here, I never stepped foot in this gym, they were meant to open on the 27 March but did not and eventually did not open for 2 more weeks, so I joined another gym instead and cancelled Energie before they even opened. No reply back, no answering of phone calls, no acknowledgment of emails, nothing! They just send your details to a debt collection agency in the UK who also contact you for money as well as the team in ballincollig. AVOID the hassle! UPDATE I suppose given the reply from the owner regarding 30days from date of payment to cancel waffle they are choosing to ignore their own terms and conditions -> “ Please note that if you completed this membership agreement whilst not in the club, you have a period of 14 days from today in which to cancel this membership. This right to cancel will cease once you visit the club, or the period of 14 days has elapsed, whichever is the earlier.” I cancelled this inside 14 days and never stepped inside your gym buddy, so please go ahead and cancel it, as your website states that the facility to cancel online is not currently available at your gym and I also called you and the team there said they’d cancel it too but I’m still a member getting calls looking for money! Please stop waffling and just stop calling me looking for money, called me on a Sunday
