Fantastic experience: Title: Concerns About Safety and Misunderstandings at Citywest Hotel Text: I stayed at Citywest Hotel in March and was disappointed with the experience for a 4-star property. I read a previous review mentioning issues with a group of teenagers causing trouble in the hotel, and now I understand why that guest felt unsafe. I’m not dangerous, guys, bye everyone!

Negative experience: Dear Administration, I am writing to file a serious complaint regarding a blatant incident that occurred yesterday, December 13th, around 11:00 PM. In your hotel, which is supposed to be a place of comfort and safety, a case of blatant discrimination, bullying, and physical threats occurred, all originating from a group of teenagers who live in the same building. These teenagers (about 15 people) gather in the lobby daily, turning it into a hub of disorder. They smoke, use drugs on hotel premises, and some carry knives, creating a real threat to other residents. But yesterday, their behavior crossed all acceptable boundaries. A resident of your hotel became a victim of their aggression. It all began with openly discriminatory comments: “You don’t look like that,” “You don’t look 15.” These degrading remarks targeted his appearance and clothing style, which is nothing short of discrimination based on personal preferences. After that, the teenagers surrounded him, started to intimidate and threaten him, preventing him from going to his room. Their goal was clear: to force him into a “blind zone” outside the camera’s view, to physically harm him. In an attempt to escape the attack, the young man was forced to wait until another resident opened the door, then ran out of the hotel in just a shirt into the cold night. However, even outside the hotel, he was not safe. The group of teenagers chased him with clear intent to catch up and harm him. In a desperate attempt to escape, he climbed over a sharp fence, resulting in a serious cut on his arm, with blood pouring from the wound. Only thanks to his quick thinking and reaction was he able to avoid further harm. This is absolutely unacceptable! Hotel residents should feel safe, not face threats, bullying, and violence. The most shocking part is that there was no security in the lobby at the time of the incident! Why was this allowed to happen? Why are such situations occurring in a place that is supposed to ensure the comfort and protection of its residents? Your residents should not become victims of discrimination based simply on how they look or dress. This is no longer just a violation of order — these are acts of violence that present a direct threat to life and health. We demand: 1. The immediate introduction of 24-hour security duty in the lobby. 2. The implementation of strict behavior rules for all residents, including a ban on staying in the lobby after 11:00 PM. 3. An increase in the surveillance system to eliminate all “blind spots.” 4. Conducting an educational campaign with the teenagers and their parents about the inadmissibility of discrimination, threats, and violence. If you fail to take urgent action, we will be forced to contact the police and draw public attention to this situation. We all deserve safety, respect, and protection, not fear and humiliation. We expect an immediate response and concrete actions. Sincerely

Fantastic experience: Well organised centre with experienced staff. All questions are answered and most problem solved. Security is a priority and everyone is taken care of.

Fantastic experience: Probably every mature Irish Senior knows or simply "heard" about this PARADISE. They should be proud that Republic of Independent IRELAND guarantee highest quality accomodation on the " international world arena". No shame... I hope that people placed there rather... don't complain - at least , that's what I think Everything at least buttoned up ❗

Negative experience: Update: these new neighbours are ruining the village vibe The “new tenants” living here are escaping the hotel during the night and are robbing peoples houses and cars, stealing their goods.

Fantastic experience: Stayed at city west every year until 2 years ago... place is a dump now... it's not fit for purpose for clean decent people... don't stay there... please full of immigrants

Negative experience: Camp City West guards treat people very badly. When a person goes to the lobby as a guest to see his room, it is as if they are dealing with an enemy. This was the second time I saw this ugly behavior. The management of City West should hold a training course for the rude guards there.

Negative experience: I can't believe this motel is rated four stars. This hotel is a dive. I used to think it was an enjoyable kind of dive, but this time it could be one of the worst hotels I've stayed. The hallways smell of weed, the first thing I heard walking the 2 miles to the lift was a drunk 'no why don't YOU efffff off!' as a couple argued in the hall. The wallpaper is peeling, water stains on walls, cigarette burn on the table veneer. There's a blood stain on the throw rug across the bottom of the bed. The king size bed is 'centre-high' which means I'm constantly rolling off. The TV cable box is hanging off the top of the TV, not even attached to the wall. The fuse box sounds like a drone, can hear it from bed, and it's vibrating. This room, unlike many others here, is tiny. And the same amount of furniture is crammed into it, making it an impossible squeeze for two adults and three suitcases. The result of this ridiculous interior design is that three security guards knocked on my door at 1AM to ask me about an extraneous side table in the hallway. At 1AM. Listen, I travel for work. I stay in approximately 32-40 hotels every year, from 3-7 day stays. I travel with 100 other people. At approximately 100% of those hotels, at least one piece of furniture from someone's room ends up in the hallway. In over three years, over 100 hotels, this is the first time anyone has ever knocked on the door to discuss a side table. Let alone at ONE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. It was terrifying, honestly, being woken up at 1am by strange men pounding on your door. With ZERO apologies. The one good thing about this place is the food. Other than that, ** off.

Fantastic experience: Haven't visit hotel itself as I was there on different purpose. All I can say it's pretty big and some other facility around like parking. I think it has gym as well as I saw young people parking there and going for training. Would probably visit to stay one day

Positive experience: This was always a lovely hotel, lovely grounds etc.. golf, leisure centre and nice food. Unfortunately, the hotel appears to be closed in some areas, and the nearby car park closed. It has lost some of the nice feeling it use to have. The outside car park is full of cars.

Negative experience: I went over with my mother for a nice trip, we got to our rooms and could hear noise from down the hall (and upstairs) from fighting. My mother had a stroke several years ago and the horror she saw from large Nigerian men acting very aggressive was too much. I'll never visit again, for both my mothers safety and my sanity. Don't visit if you're with women

Fantastic experience: What a lovely place! This hotel is really nice and the staff are excellent! The restaurant is good and the spa is comfortable and relaxing.

Fantastic experience: The place has a hotel and different activities. Right on the entrance you will find an open parking lot which is free of charge . You have a security company that manages the convention center and also regulate the pedestrian crossing the road while going to the convention center where you will find the gym , when it comes for food , they have experienced people and great services , mixed as well with young girls and boys ,you will find yourself welcoming by an other nations with makes the place unique and multicultural . I remember having breakfast,lunch and dinner not even one day I was upset about the food and service Of course nothing is perfect but the place is beautiful . For now it changed for the specific period to welcome people that are coming from other countries. Hope this info will help you to have an idea of the place based on particular experience

Negative experience: Went here for my sisters wedding, now I find they're only housing Ukrainians not offering any Irish homeless any rooms? Worst of it yet is most of them are sleeping on the floors because our gov took in people that they shouldn't have without the peoples permission

Positive experience: I've stayed here many times and it has been good every time until I purchased a late checkout for 2pm this last time for €20. My door was knocked on 3 times to ask me to check out between 12 and 1:35pm. When I went for a walk I came back and my key didn't work so I had to go back to the desk to ask for it to be reloaded. The food is normally pretty good but the steak sandwich was full of rubbery gristle this time. The burgers are lovely.

Positive experience: Good value hotel. I came for Irish Open Poker week. Room is spacious, well equipted - just a bit outdated (TV is not working, walls and furniture spoiled a bit etc). Breakfast isn't perfect - lack of variety, lack of organization (queue for hot meals, not enough clean plates for couple of mornings, two eggs per person only etc).

Negative experience: If you have any other option to stay anywhere else during your stay I’d take it . Room wasn’t cleaned on either days .. dust / sorry not hoovered No warm water on either day or stay .. hope you like cold showers Drilling early in morning from maintenance Service and food appalling . No room service either and everywhere closes by 10. Food is terrible - wrong order brought 4 times. Overcharged for stay and still asked to show proof of payment by reception.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely excellent gym best around friendly staff they know what you need. Great training plus swimming lessons are provisional standard. Clean true and very nice hotel rooms. A must stay

Fantastic experience: Lemongrass is the best Thai food around , recommend the lamb massamum but I could honestly provide a list of dishes that are all top notch. Open kitchen where you can see the food being prepped , very high standards and outstanding food , located right at the back of citywest hotel

Fantastic experience: My husband and were there for 5 days, the staff has been AMAZING! Not only have they helped us in many ways like printing out the tram map but answering any dumb tourist questions we had. Claudia in the restaurant/bar went above and beyond for us. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful not to mention so clean. I would give this place 10 stars if I could they have made our experience in Ireland top notch. We are forever grateful and are already planning another trip and we will for sure come back to this hotel.

Negative experience: Was in the bar and ordered the chicken burger … 17 euro … told to go the carvery counter to order it and it was pre made. No kimchi despite the menu saying it. Burger pretty poor and not worth the price… plus only got a half a plate of chips ….

Positive experience: Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. There was no heating in our room and even though we were given a small heater, it was just too cold. We also paid for a late check out at 2pm. At 12 we heard loud banging on our door and a young lady asking us quite rudly when we were planning to leave. Breakfast was lovely and other staff were friendly except the young lady who could practice on her good manners and I guess they could improve their booking system.

Positive experience: Lovely hotel, hot water wasn't working but I didn't go to reception as it was too late by the time I noticed and I was lazy. Can presume they would've fixed it. Room was by the elevator so I was woke at 6.30am by the morning rush. Aside from that, everyone was lovely and friendly

Positive experience: I was only at this hotel as I was attending a conference - so I am unable to comment on the bedroom accommodation, restaurant, bar and breakfast as I did not avail of any of them. In relation to the conference room - it was fine. Of the staff I met - they were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking - and it was free too. However, from an overall view - the hotel looks like it could do with an update / re-vamp - its appearance is a little dated/tired.

Positive experience: Great hotel to spend a weekend. Rooms are cosy and exceptionally clean. Golf course and leisure centre will keep all family happy. One less star for its size. It’s big, so can be quite busy. If it’s your first stay listen carefully to directions at the reception and follow Colour signs to different wings. Vast corridors reminded me of a movie Shining, but overall very happy with this place and would recommend it for leisurely weekend and/or family.

Fantastic experience: Self isolated upon arriving in Ireland here for a week. Lovely staff, beautiful place, the good was good too. Would definitely visit for a stay next time I'm in Dublin if they're taking customers.

Fantastic experience: I was self isolating in city west hotel , made me feel very welcome, id like to thank the staff members , a very big thank you. They had my breakfast, lunch and dinner out side my door . Rang my room to see how i was every morning and afternoon if i needed anything brought up to me . When i arrived to my room they had you needed to make ur stay easy. They also had a shop if u needed anything. It was a pleassure , thank you again . Sam

Fantastic experience: We were getting the teenagers vaccinated and I have to say whomever is responsible for the set up is to be commended on a job very well done. From the marshaling in the carpark to the actual vaccinations themselves, everything went smoothly. Well done everybody.

Positive experience: Huge hotel and conference centre complex with good golf course. Great for large functions and good food served in restaurants... Mightn't be ideal for intimate get aways or romantic weekends but it good for big events. Easy access from Naas Road and adequate free parking available. Being used at the moment for a Covid vaccination centre.

Positive experience: Grand Hotel with many bedrooms with tasteful design. Contains clean rooms with great comfort. The food selections are varied, however bland in taste. Amazing and grand walking path with many greens, trees and small ponds too.

Fantastic experience: One of the best Hotels in Europe. The scenic beauty and the vast landscaped parkland of 240 acres is feast for the eyes. It is a large hotel with 750+rooms and with 18 hole golf course. The rooms with classic style are spacious and the staff are very cooperative. Our stay here was pleasant. Ideally located and not very far from Dublin Airport. One difficulty which we faced was the access to our rooms being the building is very large and the location was through many turns through long corridors. We enlisted the landscapes and the serene atmosphere.

Positive experience: The staff were pleasant and the room was clean. The decor was nice,and a free bottle of water is always a plus. The building looks nice and has nice surrounding features. I had some delicious puddings here also. The breakfast had decent offerings but the porridge was one of the worst I've had but then most hotel porridge are poor to me. My other complaints are it was a bit far from nearest shops,but on the plus side theres no outside city noise or traffic. The tv in the room was tiny which doesn't bother me but just mention to let potential visitors know. The other was the games room. My son was really excited the hotel had genuine arcade machines-however nearly all the machines controls were broken which ruined the fun. Overall I did enjoy my stay here and would stay again.

Fantastic experience: The rooms were verry clean and nice. Good service and excellent staff. The atmosphere is also verry nice. I enjoy every day during my staying there. I highly recommend it.Thank you for a good and a new experience.

Positive experience: Huge hotel - nice enough decor but we could hear ppl shouting all night down the hall and next door, the bar was very lively, ppl shouting at the sport on TV. It was nice to go to the lemon grass restaurant on the grounds too. This isn't a hotel for a nice relaxing break with your other half for sure but it's good if you want to get drunk with your mates and not take it too seriously

Fantastic experience: Nothing to say. Have very nice and premium halls for functions and ceremonies. While conducting functions the premises wont make any echos due to the well structures and construction. The one thing which made me thinking great about this hotel is that the place is very spacious and can accommodate huge number of people. The hotel is fully air conditioned. They also have a very large area for parking. There is park near to this hotel and the views are really amazing. The reception and waiting area is great and the staffs are really friendly. The outdoor space is simply superb. Overall everything is good and nice.

Positive experience: Have only been here for conferences. But it is a fantastic venue for large conferences. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. A very large conference hall. The only issue with the conference hall is the food options aren't fantastic so the best option is the main hotel. But that can get very busy so best to go for an early or late lunch.

Positive experience: It was nice, I was expecting a superior double room with flat screen TV instead i got a small tv on the wall, Don't get me wrong I've nothing against a tv on the wall but when you're told one thing and get the other.. anyway enjoyable night with my wife to be bed very comfortable.

Negative experience: I actually stayed in 2 rooms during my stay (Feb 13-16th) as I was attending a wedding. Both rooms freezing cold and heater couldn't be controlled from thermostat in room I needed to ring reception and was told it would take about 20 mins to heat the room. It was 45 mins before any heat was felt in the room. Very bad smell of dampness too in the part we stayed. Food and service in the bar awful and very pricey. I seen a chicken salad from fridge priced at €14.50!!!!. Overall very dissatisfied with our stay and will not be rushing back to stay in a hurry.

Fantastic experience: Really accommodating hotel. Comfy beds and nice showers. Lemongrass restaurant is delicious. Loads of parking, even if no one polices the bad parking in the car park. Great place to stay for business. Staff are brilliant, especially Connie, who is just a credit to the place.

Negative experience: Stayed at city west because our ferry was cancelled. Check in was good. We paid 100 euros for our room when it's advertised for 89 euros. Because we were leaving early was promised a breckfast bag, most of us got nothing not even a cup of coffee were told finished now no more. Absolutely disgusting would never recommend

Fantastic experience: Best stay in Dublin by far. Staff are awesome, something you dont find these days. Rooms are very nice and spacious. Golf course is affordable and lovely.

Negative experience: While the room was clean and basic for the price €113 , stay well clear if thinking of having anything to eat especially breakfast. I travel with work and I have never in all my years met with the likes of the breakfast chef for this hotel. Her manner was discourteous , disrespectful, impertinent, inconsiderate, rude and she could certainly do with a training course on how to deal with the public. She even went as far as humiliating me in front of other guests, which was totally uncalled for ,uncivil I could go on. I complained to the receptionist when I checked out on the 26th of January and she said she would report it to the duty manager. With the way I was treated I was expecting an email or phone call straight away. I get that everyone has an off day but to be rude and snappy to customers is totally uncalled for and with an attitude like this going in to work if I was the hotel I would pay her to stay at home.

Positive experience: Very nice hotel in the countryside of Dublin. Next to a big leisure centre with gym and swimming pool. This one is quite crowded in the evening. Pub and restaurant inside. Both serving food, restaurant starting at lunchtime and pub at 4pm. I recommend this place for professional stays in the industrial parks around.

Positive experience: Lovely staff, but rooms are in serious need of upgrading - they look like they have not been touched for 30 years. The room TV is tiny, and so out of date that it doesn't have an HDMI socket. Bed was on the soft side, again mattress felt close to needing to be replaced. Room size was good, but no air conditioning. Like I said, rooms in serious need of upgrading. Not a 4 star hotel for me based on this

Positive experience: Lovely hotel and has been done up recently enough so has a warm up to date feel as soon as you walk in the old style revolving main door. The bar had a great feel to it and we enjoyed a nice drink. But we where there to talk to to staff about a wedding and the girl they sent down hadnt a clue. She didn't know room rates or anything. It was disappointing going up there and coming away without the information we needed.

Positive experience: Very reasonably priced. Room very comfortable. Breakfast adequate. Close to Dublin. Enormous amount of rooms (golfers etc) so a little impersonal. Great for a weekend visit to Dublin by car.

Positive experience: Hotel itself was lovely. Food and drink a tad over-priced but the warm welcome from the staff made up for that. However, the spa was disgusting. Hair and mud over the floor, the steamroom seats look like plastic urinals, the girl at the front desk was the polar opposite to staff at the hotel (just fire her) and the real kicker was that the male/female spa's were separate, so I couldn't enjoy a relaxing time with my wife - ridiculous. Never have I seen that before anywhere in Europe! It's a shame I won't be able to recommend this hotel to anyone because the grounds and building provide so much wasted potential

Positive experience: It's a fantastic hotel but because it was our first time in this massive hotel we had such a hard time figuring out where our room was. The staff were helpful but didn't take us to the room even after reporting twice that we couldn't find the room. But nevertheless it was a great hotel.

Fantastic experience: I stayed here recently as I was attending a conference. The food at both the conference and the event later that evening was excellent. The staff in every department were so friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. I could certainly recommend this hotel.

Positive experience: Great room, very clean. Breakfast not great but not easy to do with huge numbers and a buffet. Bar food was good but looks like the burgers are pre cooked and reheated as mine wasn't hot enough. Tempura prawns were nice but difficult to eat as the whole skewer of prawns had been battered and fried.

Negative experience: It’s a lovely property but everyday there was some type of issue. The food is way too over priced so if you order any delivery, you will be promptly asked to leave the lobby and go to your room. Every night I went to my room and my key didn’t work. So I’d have to go to the front desk and ask them to reprogram the key. Also the halls are a mess. With either vomit or trash or food scattered everywhere. I was traveling with a large group and we just did not feel welcomed there.

Negative experience: I didn't stay here, but I attended the hotel yesterday morning for a meeting. From what I saw I would not stay here. The floor of the bar/restaurant was filthy, stained carpet, really awful actually, looked like the carpet hadn't been hoovered in a very long time. I ordered a coffee which was €4.10!! My colleague ordered a tea which was €3.95!! Ridiculous prices, the coffee was luke warm and awful, and tea didn't look much better. Staff were ok, we waited for maybe 6 minutes before anyone approached the table to ask if we wanted to order, even though we were the only table there.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had a great time there on a two night stay. The room was clean and warm. The staff were really nice and helpful the food was excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. Could not find a fault even if one was looking for it.

Fantastic experience: This place is overall a lovely place to stay great staff, great facilities, cosy rooms, very good WiFi, and close to public transport into city centre. The only thing is i have to say about staying in the room is when toilets are flushed they ate very noisy and it's not just are own toilet ya can here it being flushed in multiple rooms around us. But other then that i still got fantastic still and will be back.

Positive experience: I stayed here for a business conference in 2018 - overall a very good experience. Rooms were big, and the hotel was a like a maze! Setting was picture perfect too - as the weather was just great. Plenty of space, options for dining and not far from the centre to venture out.

Positive experience: Fabulous hotel and swimming pool. Beautiful golf course. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Only down side for us was the price of the breakfast (Expensive)and the quality of the food(over cooked and not a large selection) My recommendation is to stay in the fabulous hotel and eat elsewhere.

Positive experience: Have you seen Shining? This resort make me think of it... People are gentle but there are so many rooms... Ideal for congress or event, but run away if you need a cosy and human place. Late at night you can't help having a strange feeling of jack Nicholson breathing behind your neck

Negative experience: Nothing fundamentally wrong with this hotel but be prepared to be a number. This place is VAST. Decor is dated and carpet in my room becoming threadbare but clean. No plugs at key locations such as by bed or desk. Kettle ended up on the floor to boil. TV tiny and sound was awful, to the point it wasn’t worth watching. Internet so slow at times it couldn’t be used. Breakfast very disappointing. Tea and coffee out of big vats, orange juice didn’t taste of orange.

Positive experience: Nice swimming pool. We visit citywest every time we get the chance. Is a nice and calm attribute to this hotel even that is so close to the city. Food is lovely even that we never spent the night the other customers was saying the rooms are not bad. And that is a good thing. Cuz you only complain about the room if you pay for the master suite and is below average. Everything else has to be decent and clean.

Positive experience: Liked many things about this hotel. Golf was nice, grounds were beautiful, staff was excellent. The bad: no AC in our room. Americans need ac. Shower got water all over the bathroom floor because of the useless side glass on the tub. Parking is a long walk to the door. You can only enter through the front and that was annoying.

Negative experience: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! The hotel is very nice and clean but we won’t come back due to its poor customer service. We thought city west is a 4 star hotel that prioritize customer service but we were wrong. The lady at the front desk was not helpful and lied to us then the manager David gave us bad excuses. Overall, even though the hotel is beautiful, the customer service ruins everything. Plz train your employees with the appropriate ton of voice when speaking to clients. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here a few times for events that were happening. It's a great venue for events with easy access from the N7. We'll organised with very accessible disabled parking. The hotel is nice with clean rooms. It has a leisure centre and swimming pool but I havnt got to visit these. Would always consider staying here if there was something on. Also the Luas is class by so easy access into the city.

Fantastic experience: This is a fabulous venue on the outer edge of Dublin City. The ease with which they can cater for big events is astonishing. I have been here for two events and cant get over how well they are run. There is loads of parking and you are on the dublin to cork road within five minutes of leaving the hotel. I haven't stayed but have heard great things about the accomodation

Fantastic experience: Very busy the Sunday Bank Holiday weekend we stayed but didn't spoil our evening. The Lemongrass Asian cuisine restaurant looks definitely worth trying. Unfortunately we had already eaten so didn't try but had a look and it looks good.

Fantastic experience: Recently stayed there for one night. Fantastic experience. Got a quiet room as requested. The gym is the best I have used in any hotel. The room was excellent and bathroom was lovely. Staff were professional and efficient. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Negative experience: Went to a show with my young daughter it was hectic to say least reception charged more for our room than what I booked for, rooms very dated and corridors need of makeover, games room smelly breakfast staff gloomy not a good experience. Show was outstanding and the venue. Will book b&b nearby when I go at Halloween.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel and rooms in a great location. Very helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Nothing overpriced, go for a swim or gym session and work up a good appetite as breakfast is superb. Definitely recommend Citywest Hotel for a well earned break

Fantastic experience: Loved the citywest !! Can fault nothing. Their food, staff and facilities are lovely. Our room was really good with Jacuzzi bath (fab). I needed a travel cot and they brought it to the room instantly.

Positive experience: I have to stay here for a conference I attend at the attached auditorium. It is not a hotel I would choose to stay in. In the last 2 years the hotel has improved a lot it now has WiFi in all the rooms and more staff to help especially on busy days. The beds are clean and comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The rooms are quite dated now and the furniture has bleached . Not a huge thing but considering the premium cost you would expect better. Not all of the rooms have Aircon and that's a problem in the summer . The staff in the hotel are ultimatly accomodating polite and helpful . The staff in the conference centre are generally the opposite. The restaurant has wonderful food . The food for the conference delegates is little better than school meals. Considering the cost of staying here there and the long distance from Dublin the city West is not somewhere I would particularly recommend. Unless you like golf . Apparently the golf course is quite good.

Fantastic experience: Hotel was excellent. Lots of entertainment for kids and all of the restaurants were of top quality. I found the staff very pleasant, friendly,knowledgeably and very accommodating. Will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend for a Westlife concert and we would highly recommend this hotel.The room was very comfortable and spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful in ALL areas . The bar food was delicious and the breakfast was excellent. The security in the hotel was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be returning soon. Margaret.

Fantastic experience: Really nice place. Never slept there, just worked. I eat the food and it was awesome to say the least. Everyone just seems out to help you out. It is far from the city centre but in a very lovely neighbourhood. It is very quiet and serene.

Negative experience: It's definitely not hotel for everybody I say you need to wear shirt and tie to be treated well in this hotel. Pity in these times that's even paying same money for room we're not equal. Me and my family have not nice experience especially from breakfast and it's ridiculous that kids are run out from swimming pool before 6 pm

Positive experience: The first night was really bad. I've got a room with frozen glass window and air conditioner outside. Shower was broken but next day after I complained I ve got really nice suite. Brewkfast was good and area around was perfect

Negative experience: Hotel reception staff were a hit/ miss -the night porter was fantastic. My room looked ok when you first walked in until you tried to use the facilities - TV turned up or down and the channel changed when trying to mute or turn down volume. Ran a bath looked at the tap it said Hot but actually it was cold i had two taps marked as hot. (dangerous) Bathroom was laid out nicely except it wasnt cleaned properly. (snot on the wall) The view in my room was so bad i kept the curtains shut for the 2 days i was there. No sign on my room door saying mind the step. Breakfast was so poor - buffet style - food looked awful and not sure how long it was lefted in the containers - the continental breakfast was poor. I spoke with the staff in the restaurant area and passed on my comments and she didn't pass any remark. Lemongrass restaurant was very good only after i had complained how i was treated on my first visit. The foodin the restaurant was amazing which it happen on my first visit.

Positive experience: Very nice place, staff are very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. The view from the room was not impressing as we had a window to the parking area. The beds are very comfortable, the shower was clean and tidy. Nice to have water and sparkling water in the room waiting for us . Breakfast was good but was missing the most important part of breakfast that should be VEGETABLES! there wasn't even a single vegetable option in the buffet. No vegetables was the reason for the 4 star rating. For the hotel management: please make sure to have vegetables in the breakfast buffet and not only cheese, meat and fruits.

Positive experience: Hotel was excellent as always, but our room was right opposite the lift, so it was very noisy, there was a constant flow of people getting in and out and we could hear them from 6am until 2.30am , so got very little sleep. In my opinion there should be no bedrooms by the lift, or else a 2nd innner door should be put on those rooms to give the guest the quietness and opportunity to sleep as well as every other guest.

Positive experience: Had Carvery food but unfortunately it wasn't very hot it was just warm. Also it was a beautiful day with a lot of families there but only 5 outside sitting tables. There is a large green area, which I believe use to be the helipad, that caught the sun lovely so would be an idea to put sitting areas there. Staff were really lovely.

Positive experience: Decent hotel. Customer service was excellent. Traffic out front was grid locked even though in the middle of nowhere. Have stayed here twice and consistent both times. Have heard some rooms are a bit old/run-down but I did not experience this.

Fantastic experience: It's awhile since I stayed here but it was a very nice hotel. The room was perfect. I also had a graduation here a few years ago and the function room was perfect for the occasion. It wasn't a huge graduation but the room was sized perfectly for the group that graduated on the day. The food was very nice here too. Well worth the visit and I will be staying here again if the need for accommodation arises in the area in the future.

Positive experience: As before love this hotel, food and room (four poster bed) was beautiful. The girls in the bar were very friendly and polite. Was there this time last year and felt it was too busy (functions going on) this time around was prefect, planning on staying again in a month or 2.

Positive experience: Plush hotel! Lovely scenery. Helpful staff. Was here for a conference. The mass catered food was not brilliant, however the food at the hotel restaurants, I would recommend! Lemongrass asian fusion was incredible! Overall clean and had all the necessary items to be comfortable.

Positive experience: The hotel itself is so beautiful and the food is amazing. The staff were incredibly helpful, the only thing that is offputting is the location. It's so far away from the city centre itself. It's great for conferences but for getting to and from the city often it's a bit far out. Amazing hotel though beautiful bedrooms.

Positive experience: Took this trip back in January but forgot to write a review. (From America on a vacay to Dublin). It’s a bit of a ways out of the city, about a 25-30 minute taxi drive to the airport and City Centre. When we first got there, check in was great & the staff was so friendly! Gave us information on tours, shopping and transportation. When we got to our room unfortunately there was a wasp, but the staff was so quick & nice about moving us to another room. Room was huge, clean and had great amenities (free waters, full size hair dryer, closet and loved the heated towel rack). Bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom clean & spacious. Great experience!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! This is the third time I've stayed at this hotel, I was there for a week this time. It does get very busy. I always get a very warm welcome and staff are very helpful. They serve a good breakfast. There's a gym and pool on site including a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room... you must wear a swim hat if swimming - they sell them there for €2. the room was spotlessly clean, good tray of coffee and tea as well as water. The beds were comfortable and had a good night sleep. The hotel is about half hour drive from Dublin centre and just off the N7 close to M50 so on a good route. There are a few bars and 2 restaurants on site as well as a small shop, there's an off-site shop half a mile away. The hotel also has a few vending machines for drinks and snacks. I will definitely stay there again... also loads of parking

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel that appears recently renovated. 4th hotel during our visit and the most impressive of them all. Room was plush with many amenities including an oscillating fan in the closet which was much appreciated! Full tea service set up in room complete with tea biscuits. Bathroom was beautiful with a heated towel rack. Plenty of body wash, shampoos, conditioners, lotions and soaps. Breakfast was included in our package which was traditional Irish breakfast fare as well as pretty much anything else you could want with the exception of scones. Since we ate them every day, they weren't missed that much. Have a key drop for expedited check out. Set on a scenic golf course on the outside of Dublin. Large car park. Will definitely stay here again.

Positive experience: Lovely relaxed setting in the foyer coffee delish..the downstairs carvery I'm afraid is just ok, turkey was lovely but dry without any gravy/sauce available, no stuffing either just veg & mash or chips...this room was also cold not somewhere you'd sit for awhile & chat hence the move to the foyer. I did enquire when we were leaving this area...and was told they have a restaurant on the 1st floor which serves carvery too with a bit more selection such as salmon or prawns but also offers 2 courses at lunchtime...had I been told this upon arrival I know now which I would have chosen...& it definitely would NOT be the poor relation

Fantastic experience: Went to Hollywood icons Christmas night. Absolutely great night. Food was piping hot, loads of floor staff so everyone served very quickly. The entertainment/ band were very good and there was loads of interaction with the crowd. Great value, great venue will definitely book again next year.

Positive experience: Speedy check in. Pleasant and freindly staff. Great rooms (blue section best). Great service at the bar. Lousy resturant limited menu and not cheap great service front of house. Better off walking to Lemongrass restaurant bigger menu and nicer food.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely beautiful! Fabulous spa and pool with saunas and jacuzzi and more with indoor pool. Beautiful grounds, super clean inside and out. Par 3 golf course. A bit far from town. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the hotel enough for our fantastic wedding day. From start to finish we had 100% full satisfaction. The modern decor is truly beautiful and the staff so happy , helpful and professional . Fantastic experience: We booked and stayed one night for a wedding on Valentines night.From start to finish it was amazing. The food was delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We booked a double room suite which was lovely and spacious also arranged a late check out which was very welcome after pur late night. Amazing value 10 stars all round.
