Fantastic experience: What a brilliant experience! My wife took my daughter who’s eight one weekend and myself and my son who’s six went the following week, we both did the 1 Hour Roped Climbing Taster (€64 for two for one hour). This includes the harness rental. We had different instructors both of whom were absolutely brilliant. The girls had Brendan looking after them and they said he couldn’t have been nicer and we had Donal. He was super friendly, very encouraging and reassuring during the climbs. Considering Ben is only 6 this really helped as he’d never done anything like this before. He is also small so rest assured that if you want to take your kid who’s six (the youngest age to climb) there are plenty of options and they manage just fine on the walls. All in all a brilliant experience and we’ll 100% be back to do more climbing.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful taster climbing session with Al yesterday and he was brilliant, so patient, encouraging and knowledgeable. He put my friend and I at ease as we are nervous of heights and we managed to climb all of the routes AL brought us to. We will definitely go again and had a lot of fun, thanks so much to Al and the brilliant facilities there.

Positive experience: Good Experience, but Overcrowded in One Area I recently visited this indoor wall climbing center, and overall, it was a good experience. The instructor was really nice and friendly, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe, which I really appreciated. However, the place was definitely way too crowded. Most of the people were concentrated in just one corner at the far left, which made it difficult for my group to find available walls to climb. It felt a bit cramped, and we were left with limited options, which took away from the overall enjoyment. If the crowd management was better and the climbing areas were more evenly distributed, it would’ve been a much better experience. Still, the staff was great, and I’d consider coming back—hopefully when it’s less busy.

Completed the learn to lead course just recently. Amazing couches, Iva is fantastic, really clear and fun. Made me feel safe and confident at all times. Fantastic experience: I was in Dublin for a meeting and decided to check it out before heading back to my accommodation, as a seasoned climber I had to complete the Induction (this is just process but Dave was extremely professional) Thereafter I was able to have an awesome Bouldering session as I was solo, the Problems were fun and I can only recommend AW. Will definitely pop in again before I head back home!

Negative experience: I called the place multiple times two days in a row at different times from different numbers with no response. When we arrived there, an hour drive with 3 kids, tween kids, we were told we weren't allowed in as we weren't their parents. Even though I was their guardian and had permission from their parents. No where on their website did it state the children needed to be signed in by their parents. We were left very disappointed having to turn around and drive home. If they had simply stated this information boldly on their website or even picked up the phone when we called, we could've saved 2hrs driving and diesel money. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: The perfect venue for group activity & party. My son had his 10th birthday here with 10 friends. The facility is fantastic & staff are so wonderful. The walls & instructors encourage the kids to challenge themselves. Really great day. Cafe is nice but an option for in-house catering would be a bonus.

Quick and easy check in and set up and really lovely instructors who were so friendly and encouraging to all of the group - we were blown away by the kids progress over the hour! Fantastic experience: Visited here recently with my 8 year old nephew. We were both nervous arriving but left feeling chuffed with ourselves for doing so well! Donal was our instructor, he was so good at encouraging my nephew to have fun whilst trying his best. Will definitely visit again with more family members

Fantastic experience: Booked an hour with an Instructor for my fiancés birthday, had the best time , our instructor Al was super friendly and had challenges for us after each wall. Had us climbing blindfolded by the end ! (We are not regular climbers ) 10/10 would recommended and will deffo be back ! Al made it a fantastic experience.

Positive experience: Why are there still no changing rooms? I don't want to be in my socks in a bathroom lol. The setting has gotten a lot better here, and the boulder grades are more similar to other gyms now. Great training room. The last day I visited they also weren't playing music which was a big plus.

Fantastic experience: Awesome Walls IS the definition of a FIVE STAR climbing experience. Delayed overnight at Dublin airport with 30 years climbing under my belt, I visited Awesome Walls with no expectations just hope. The facility is first class and caters to climbers of all levels, from first timer to MoonBoard aficionado. There is even a gymnasium for a more structured workout. I hate to gush but their hospitality was top tier, with a full facility tour and personal introductions to local climbers who invited me into their climbing day, and UNBELIEVABLY I was driven to the airport after our session ended. I live in the US and in future when I travel through Dublin will make AW a destination, and recommend my friends do the same. Thanks to Dave and Tommy and Derek for a perfect 1/2 day and for all their kindnesses during and after my visit.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 8 year old boy to this place, we were both quite nervous as we never climbed before but it was an absolute pleasure, such a lovely way to spend time and have fun. I booked a tester session and Finn was our instructor, he was fantastic, very knowledgeable and encouraging, he made the whole experience very special. We will definitely go back.

We availed of the taster experience and the instructor/assistant (am trying to remember his name but i can’t ) was very experienced and helped me conquer my fear, made me feel safe and encouraged me to get to the top! Positive experience: Induction was very informative, I don't understand why you need one if you are an experienced climber but I guess rules are rules. Routes were fun, could do with a regular reset as they are very chalky and slippy. Grading has a massive range but still fun. Overall, staff were very welcoming and friendly and I will be returning

Fantastic experience: It was my first time trying wall climbing and I have a fear of height but I made it to the top because of the group I went with whom I met on Facebook. It was one hour session and we climbed 2 walls.The small one was easy. the high wall was quite difficult but was a great experience. Will definitely gonna do it again. The staffs were very friendly as well

Fantastic experience: Great staff very friendly and the place is huge , you'd never guess from the outside. You can get tea and coffee there and snacks plus they cater for kids parties too.

Fantastic experience: My husband, 14 Yr old daughter and I went for a 1 hour taster session. Our instructor was Gertas (apologies if incorrect spelling). He was excellent, very friendly and encouraging. Lots of families and kids there having fun. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go back again.

Fantastic experience: Awesome Walls is a great place to learn and enjoy indoor climbing. I went there with my nephew and we had a blast. Our coach was Kira, who was very knowledgeable and patient. She taught us the basics of climbing and safety, and gave us helpful tips and feedback. She also made it fun and challenging, and encouraged us to try different routes and levels. We felt very comfortable and confident with her guidance. The staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. We had a great workout and a lot of fun. We will definitely be back and would recommend Awesome Walls to anyone who wants to try indoor climbing. It’s a great activity for all ages and abilities. Just be prepared to discover muscles you never knew you had!

Negative experience: I haven't been here in a long time but the unfriendliness of this place is something that would stick with you. Back when Condron and Nelson were here - not fit to be staff, just strong climbers. They haven't updated the place since it opened either - They still promote that video where Bell says it's the best facility in the country but that was over 10 years at this point. I had some terrible experiences here but luckily it didn't put me off climbing. It seems like it's mostly a place for middle-class mothers to take their children on Saturday mornings now. If you're a climber just go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I bring my 8yo daughter here when I can. We both boulder so both get a workout. The instructors and staff are very good. There's also a good gym training area too.

Fantastic experience: We went with our 6 and 4 year old. Our 6 year old had a hard time his first session. Alan was so patient and so kind. He was just brilliant and encouraging. So much so we went again the next week and my 6 year old loved it. Again Alan was there to encourage him and it was just brilliant. Fantastic experience: This was my first time in Awesome Walls. I really enjoyed the experience, at first I was a unsure because I'm not great with heights. Our instructor Emer was great and made us feel safe and advised us all the way through and at every wall we climbed. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this as great activity.

Fantastic experience: Visited as part of a Kids birthday party, and it was fantastic. Was not aware of it beforehand but will be back soon. My daughter loved it and can't wait to go back.

Fantastic experience: Sadly didn't get to try the walls but the staff were super accommodating considering it was a busy period for them. Coffee was lovely as well.

Positive experience: Great spot for the kids for their introductory session to Rock climbing/Bouldering. A full 50 mins of going at the walls with a really knowledgeable Philip who provided enough encouragement and tips but still let them get on and do it themselves for that real feeling of self fulfillment. Felt fully safe and confident with them at all times.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time doing this but no one made me or my partner feel out of place or judged. The instructor Emer, was golden and was the most patient person ever. She made us feel completely at ease. We had fun and a good workout. Very welcoming staff all around. Will definitely do this again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, went to get my bouldering induction and everyone was very kind and explained everything very well. The place has many routes from beginner to experienced and everything is very clean. You can rent basically everything you would need and the prices are okay. They also have a small shop inside with mountain gear and a bar with a few options for coffee, protein bars etc, overall it's very nice and will start going more often

Fantastic experience: My family and I were on vacation in Ireland and had some down time while in the city and were looking for something to do for our 12 and 15 year old. It was a Saturday so their center was super busy and had a lot of the competitive Irish Youth Team in there practicing ( super cool to watch by the way). They squeezed us in for a Taster session which gave us an hour with an instructor on any paths with the ropes. Our instructor was Ciara and she was wonderful and fun to work with. I even got up on the paths with my boys ( 38 yr old mom ) and had a ton of fun. Would definitely recommend this place to others, both locals and tourists.

Fantastic experience: Great place to hang out, climbing is a incredible fun activity. If you are first time visitor you have to do a 20 minutes induction class, where they show you the place and give you safety guidelines. They have two floor for bouldering and the ground floor for climbing with ropes. They also change the configuration of the paths for bouldering often so everytime there's new things to climb. As their name indicate it is an awesome place

Fantastic experience: Had my sons 8th birthday party here. It was perfect, great for small groups as they had their instructors and had loads of time to try different walls. Fantastic experience: Enjoyed a fantastic sessions climbing yesterday evening. Instructors were super friendly and great for people who had never climbed before aswell as others who had some experience!

Positive experience: The gym is beautiful and the stuff really friendly, and I enjoyed my boulder sessions in awesome wall a lot. However, what I’m noticing now after 2 month from the first time is that the problems are just not changed often enough. The majority is still there from my first climbing, and it makes it slightly boring. A bit more variety would be appreciated

Fantastic experience: We had a really wonderful experience at Awesome Walls Dublin. My boys (8yrs and 9yrs) attended for the first time and had Brendan as their instructor. He was brilliant with them and so professional but also really encouraging, lots of fun and he was genuinely intertested in them and their achievements! With his support and encouragement, they were taking on monster walls in no time at all and it was brilliant for them. They felt like rock stars! I was so impressed that I said I would bring the whole neighbourhood back and I did! We had a birthday party there the following weekend and once again Brendan and his colleagues were superb and it was such an amazing experience for all. Highly recommended :-)

Positive experience: Nice spot, especially if you're into lead and top rope, the boulders are also pretty nice. My main issue with the place are all the "extras". You have to pay for an induction session which only goes over bouldering information, even when you don't want to do it. You can to pay to sign up for the monthly subscription, but you have to pay an an extra fee.

Fantastic experience: Not knowing we had to do an introduction. Duty manager Steven talked ran through our options. Both him and Ainè went out of their way to accommodate, Ainè even staying back late to do the instruction for. Very fast, straight forward, informative and welcoming. (Sorry you making you stay back but we really appreciate) 100% coming back

Fantastic experience: Me and my friend arrived for the first time without realising we had to do a bouldering induction. So Steven the Duty Manager was really helpful by telling what our options were and Ainè was actually amazing she stayed back after her shift had finished just to do our induction, I cannot thank her enough. Really fantastic service and I will be coming back often.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place and fantastic staff. Áine went above and beyond to help us out and was also a very good teacher. Steven, the manager, was very understanding about our mix up and helped us salvage my mistake about booking.
