Fantastic experience: Loads of equipment, variety of classes , great staff - professional and positive, well done - Planet Team

Negative experience: Tons of equipment, weights, machines. They have everything. Huge gym, but very busy. Only ~10 treadmills so there's always a queue in evenings. Only 1 water fountain. Changing rooms and bathroom smell, there's no WiFi and you can't get phone reception in there.

Negative experience: I’ve been training here for over 2 years and really like the gym overall, but a few things need improvement. The weekend hours are very unsuitable — prices keep going up, yet the gym closes at 6pm, whereas other Planet Health gyms stay open until 8pm. This makes it very difficult for people who work weekends and want to train afterwards. The ladies’ bathroom, however, is a real issue — it’s often not clean, the toilets are in poor condition, and the floor is usually wet. Everything else in the gym is great, but this really lets it down. It’s also disappointing that there are no free trials, so I couldn’t bring a friend to see the gym before committing to membership. I hope these issues are addressed, as otherwise I’ll have to consider leaving.

Positive experience: The steam room door hasn't closed for 3 years. The lock in the women's changing room has been broken for a long time. I often drive 40 kilometers to go to the pool, and the steam room and sauna are not working.

Negative experience: I’ve been a regular at this gym for a while and generally enjoy the facilities but my recent experience was disappointing enough to leave a review. When I arrived I was told I had to fill out all my membership forms again even though I’ve been a consistent member. I asked if this was going to happen every month and was told by a staff member, Silvia, that my membership had just "cancelled for some reason." Annoying, but I went ahead and filled everything out again and paid online. While I was finishing the forms Silvia made an unnecessary comment to my friend about me, asking "Does she ever smile?" I hadn’t even said anything at that point. When I didn’t react she followed up with "It’s not my fault" and "Fine, don’t talk to me." I stayed calm, finished the paperwork, said thanks, and walked away. I understand staff deal with a lot but this felt incredibly unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. I was already frustrated at having to re-register without explanation and the sarcastic tone made the situation worse. Members shouldn’t be spoken about or treated this way, especially not when they’ve done nothing wrong.

Fantastic experience: Great staff and really good size gym too. Equipment isn't the best in terms of actual quality machines but they do have plenty of free weights and machines and are always adding Also has a pool and a sauna which is handy and good sized changing rooms

Fantastic experience: Clean gym,great equipment but a little on the expensive side

Negative experience: Gym itself is good , but price is too much as this is now the busiest gym in limerick by a mile defiantly way to many members as there isn’t any time of the day you can go that’s it’s not over crowded with members. Been here for 5 years and never seen it so bad and somehow the more members that join the more the price is going up for existing members.

Negative experience: MANY, including staff members, PERSISTENTLY HOUNDED me, believing that associating with me would bring them substantial financial benefits. For example, one of the worst among them was a nasty staff member, SYLWIA who REPEATEDLY & EXPLICITLY called me for ---, assuming that I would favour her by accepting her EXPLICIT unSOLICITED offers. It was only because of her I learnt the secondary meanings of “See you”, many knew this (s)escapade, & “Hello” (as if talking on a mobile). She even chased me to the gym floor to say "Hello" on her mobile. After complaining about her unSOLICITED offers only, she stopped doing so, but turned violent. Though I was unfortunately forced to reveal all this publicly to demonstrate how certain terrible things happened, my intention is neither to single out nor implicate anyone—as it serves no purpose for me—but RATHER TO UNDERSTAND, whoever I might be, HOW THIS HAPPENED TO ME, AND WHY. Most importantly, HOW DID THEY OBTAIN THIS (MIS)INFORMATION, AS I NEVER REVEALED ANYTHING MYSELF? Fully aware of the gravity of the issue, unlike the manager who is trying to silence me instead of addressing this very obvious but grievous issue, I am writing this. My claims are easy to verify, and almost all within that age group are well aware of the facts, unless one deliberately chooses to ignore them. I wish the main issue were addressed, as that would help me greatly, rather than being silenced or ignored altogether.

Negative experience: I was happy here but with increased prices you can pay the same for more high spec gyms in the area. Also the cleanliness in the gym and ladies changing area is bad, very off putting. I am cancelling my membership this month and joining a more high spec gym near by.

Negative experience: Insane unjustifiable price raises, place is always packed

Positive experience: The staff is absolutely amazing and lovely and I had been a member since they reopened at the end of 2012 ( used to be JJB fitness) nevertheless the recent increase in subscription was just too much to accept. The shower is a common shower which has been left in a deplorable state as is the locker room. I could accept it before but not with this jump in my membership fees from €46 to €63 a month. Pity because their staff is really great and helpful and I have always enjoyed talking to them. Unfortunate but I have cancelled my membership.

Fantastic experience: Huge space and great equipment

Negative experience: It's quite disappointing that the membership fee has been unexpectedly raised. Both the place and the instruments are not well cleaned. Since other gyms are offering memberships at lower prices, I will no longer be continuing to the gym.

Negative experience: Price increase is an absolute joke, won’t be continuing my membership there.

Negative experience: The gym is okay but nothing more than that. It is not worth 110€ for a couples membership. The amount of machines (a bit more than a few at best) and it's cleanliness (barerly clean, the showers stink, and the pool water is cloudy) do not rectify the price of 55€ per month per person do not.

Negative experience: Lovely staff and decent enough equipment. I have been a long time member and had to write a review due to the recent price increase. Understandandable with everything getting more expensive but the gym itself changes very little with each increase and changing the monthly price all the way to 63 is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Recently rejoined as I know they had added new equipment. They have way too many members as every time I go it's difficult to find a machine to work on. Besides all that the worst part is no one is cleaning the place. Machines are dirty and the changing room are like something from a third world country. Water all over the floor, no toilet paper in toilets. Nothing available to clean down shower once you finish. Hair all over drains and shower. Disgusting!

Positive experience: Been a member for years. Staff aren't rude. The place needs a membership cap though. It has been way too crowded for the past two years or so.

Negative experience: **Terrible Experience – Rude Staff and Completely Unprofessional!** I recently had an awful experience at planet health. I went in for a workout, fully intending to sign up for a membership afterward. I entered the gym as someone was leaving and planned to pay right after my session because I was waiting in reception for at least 20 mins with no sign of staff. When I approached a staff member to pay for the membership, I was turned away without any real help or explanation. To make matters worse, the next morning I was told to wait for the manager to discuss the situation. After waiting for 30 minutes, the manager never showed up, leaving me standing there like a fool. The staff’s attitude during the entire situation was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of offering help, they treated me like I was an inconvenience. I sent an email to the gym explaining everything, but it’s been ignored. No follow-up, no attempt to resolve the issue—just a complete lack of care. It's clear the staff at this gym has no interest in providing decent customer service, let alone welcoming new members. If you're thinking about joining, be warned: the employees are rude, and they seem more interested in pushing people away than helping them out!

Fantastic experience: What an excellent gym. I have been to a fair few gyms but this place is top class. Huge area for working out and very cool looking too like a night club or venue of some sort. Great equipment friendly staff and spacious locker rooms. They could have more private showers and a jacuzzi but you cant have everything. Still one of favourite places in limerick. Nicely located beside nearly every shop you need.

Positive experience: The place is nice but it's getting too busy and the issue now is that they are closing the door 45 minutes before the closing time. So, if you want to take advantage of quiter times, and have like a 30 minute workout, you are not allowed to do it anymore.

Positive experience: It's crazy that you can't get in the gym 45 mins before its closing time. 45 mins is a normal training time and a lot of people, including me, only have this last hour to go to the gym.

Positive experience: The gym is OK, but they have suddenly changed the time you can enter to 45 minutes before its closing time (21:15 or 17:15 on holidays), which is silly, as many people take less than that to workout.

Negative experience: Dirty, dirty ,dirty place. The New done steaming room is so dirty inside- dont go there without slippers and don't seat on anything couse mould will stick to Your body. The same is in the man shover area. Good cleaning service required for this gym

Fantastic experience: It's probably the best gym I’ve ever been to. I can’t wait to get back in there! It just needs private cubicle showers or towel/toiletry holders next to each shower. Open-plan communal showers are the only fault! It's still a 5-star gym, the best around!

Fantastic experience: My first gym joined up with up. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful to answer questions when asked. I'd definitely recommend this gym users great atmosphere, large facilities to use suitable for beginners and more experienced gym users.

Negative experience: I was considering joining this gym, while scoping out all of the options available in limerick. When I read through the reviews and Planet Health’s replies… cringe. How can a business reply with such nasty comments? It appears this gym is unprofessional, and I’m quite shocked they think it’s okay. First impressions are not good. Just my two cents.

Negative experience: The gym is really good, complete and the staffs are very friendly. I just hated the showers, they are like the showers at the prison in the movies, I know some people left the membership, just because the management did not separate the showers, some people like getting privacy. I would like the gym admin does something, and I am not the only one saying that. When are you going to build anything between the showers? You know that your customers are waiting for that.

Negative experience: Gym is big but needs a clean-up. Everything is need of change or repair. Some equipment has stickers out of order for a month or more. Mirrors in swimming pool are dirty, some times can find some stuff in the pool that look like a toilet paper. In general looks like staff dosent care much about keeping that place clean at all. Sauna room with one out of two heaters working isn't a sauna it's just a warm room. At least it explains 30 euro registration fee. Cause after one month only blind person or a pig will stay for more.

Negative experience: No respect for longtime goers. I've been going to this gym for almost 3 years and both my email and calls were ignored when I asked for a months refund to the manager. I was told my membership renews on the 17th but was charged on the 3rd. I had no way of cancelling due to being provided false information about when I would be billed. Not a lot of money for the company but after the recent price hike it is for a student. Would not recommend going here if you value customer treatment from management.

Negative experience: I went to Rejoin the Gym on 26/07/2022 evening the supervisor named Isabela spoke to me in very bad manners, It looked like, She was bit racist and spoke to me very harshly, She was not ready to listen to us and started cutting conversation from the beginning. She was kind of Bossy, Egoistic and very bad attitude. which we didn't like and because of her behavior, my friend left the gym on spot. and asked for a review form, instead she gave him the cancellation form and she gave a sticky note to write down the review and she was very fast in telling her long name, which we asked to spell the name and she told she cannot spell and if we know English you can write it. When I said I would complain for the way she was talking to a customer she said that she didn't care as she was the Supervisor. Then we had no choice apart from reacting there because of her bad attitude and came out of the gym. This is the first time in my 5 years, I am facing this kind of Egoistic, rude person in Ireland. Obviously I will not join this gym, I've never seen a more unprofessional person ever.

Fantastic experience: don't know what that clown with the 1 star is referring to. Called in to the gym there recently asking pretty much the same question. I didn't catch the girl's name, but she was lovely. Had a nice chat with her, and she introduced me to some of the more regular members who were happy to give me some tips on fitness routines.

Negative experience: Great range of equipment but very poor gym ethic from members and sometimes staff. Weights aren't put back where they're supposed to be, Bench presses, machines etc. will still have weights left on them not knowing whether the piece of equipment is free to use or not. Dumbbells aren't put back together and often times you'll have to go searching for one dumbbell in the pair. You'll see "Failure to put weights back will result in membership cancellation" on the odd wall but I don't think they actually mean it... I can think of 1 staff member who is friendly and the rest are extremely rude and unhelpful. There's a man in specific who's in his 30's who I would consider to be the most rude person I have ever met. I hate to have to leave such a negative review on what would seem like a fine establishment but it's only fair people know what they're getting themselves into before they sign up for a monthly membership with Planet Health Club. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Separate room for girls to workout. Pool is usual very quite. Cheap enough compared to other gyms. Very well organised. The only downside was the women behind the counter was very rude.
