Ger Conroy Fitness Mulhuddart

Negative experience: A severe lack of investment is evident at Ger Conroy Mulhuddart and charging €40 a month for this is criminal when what you get is budget Apollo, Strengthmax and Impulse Fitness equipment which just about qualifies as commercial grade (Junction 6 is no better). Most other gyms in the area are charging similar but have much higher quality equipment. The gym seems to be stuck in 2008, designed for oul ones to lose a bit of weight and nothing more. Richie is sound so I give two stars instead of one.

Negative experience: It's a bit sneaky how they promote no termination fees but if you want to cancel your membership you have to give a month heads up. I was not told about this when I joined the gym, which resulted in extra fee for me. Gym itself is not that bad, it's spacious, but there are no showers, there is no wifi, no mobile signal, and opening times are only until 2 pm on weekends which is very inconvenient.

Positive experience: The gym is great and all but why do they close so early? All other gyms close a lot later even on Sundays. I wanted to go today but they closed at 4 which is disappointing

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Offers all of the equipment you need and very bright and spacious. I switch between the Ratoath and Mulhuddart locations as one membership offers you the option to go anywhere at any time across the 4 sites. Brilliant instructors in the classes too. Very achievable for beginners but also suitable for pro athletes, as they always make sure to tweak exercises, weights and intensity to the exact needs of the person. Super careful and available staff. Been around the block for years and I am a pro athlete. I take classes 2/3 times a week as an addition to my regular schedule, and honestly I saw such an improvement in my fitness since starting 6 months ago. Could not recommend more.

Fantastic experience: Literally only a ten minute from where I live which is great.Really good monthly deals plenty of cardio equipment which i really love friendly helpful staff & flexible opening hours best gym I've gone too would highly recommend signing up.

Negative experience: When I first joined the gym, I chose direct debit as my payment option. I distinctly remember asking how long it would take to cancel my membership if I wanted to, and a staff member advised that it would only take 3 days. Now that I have actually requested to cancel it, they replied that it takes A MONTH (resulting in an additional charge).

Negative experience: So, be careful joining this gym. If you try and pause membership or stop your subscription, they tell you there is a cancellation fee of 70 euro.... Sneaky and grasping. The opening hours dont leave much leeway and the equipment isn't as good as it could be.

Positive experience: I can’t say if this place is okay, because I never went in it , I am just curious of what they offer to the client as I’m interested to join . I have to make sure that I am in good hands when I started my Plan to be fit and healthy.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and classes. All of the staff are brilliant. The classes are ideal for everyone, particularly people like me, who benefit from someone with knowledge on weights and form etc. Thanks to all the staff for your enthusiasm & motivation

I started in Gers in 2017 & have done every class,mummy's & buggies, PT and the gym floor. Every part of my experience continues each day & I highly recommend the gyms to my friends and family.

Also big shout out to Lisa, she did an amazing job during out PT sessions. She'svery kind, understanding, supportive and a great motivator. Definitely worth it and delighted to be seeing results in myself!

Negative experience: the service here is terrible, can’t get a signal, and no wifi option, can’t load any of my music or workouts spent half my training session trying to get service so i can follow my plan.

She really went through everything in detail and had me full sweat by the time it was over 10/10. highly recommend anyone all shapes and sizes and ability to join up in any of the 3 Ger Conroy locations. It will be the best decision you will make towards a new healthy lifestyle.

Negative experience: I went to Ger Conroy himself as I had seen his adverts in ben Dunne gym in santry/ballymun. and had an awful experience. He put me on a starvation diet of rice and egg whites ...not realistic.of course I lost weight...then when I was at the gym there was nothing personal about the training. He was more interested in texting on his phone than watching what I was doing. Also kept leaving me to go off into the office to do stuff and have a laugh ....I was furious. I only paid one instalment and told him why. He didn't care. This was in 2011. I hope he has improved since.

Negative experience: I waited three weeks to be contacted by a trainer to schedule my induction. Despite being reasurred several times, that never materialised. Thankfully I had only paid the one month subscription.
