Fantastic experience: Training here a few years and can't speak highly enough of the coaches / people training here. Great schedule of classes, Mon to Sun and good facilities - free parking, showers etc. There is good variety in the classes with all different belt levels from white to black, and age range goes from 20's to 50's. You will never feel embarrassed or out of place asking questions to any of the coaches or people training there. If you are thinking of starting bjj I highly recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to a few schools, doing different martial arts / BJJ both here in Ireland and abroad. This place is unique. I’ve been here 3 months and the instructors are simply world class. There is a level of humble dedication that’s rare from the teachers, and this trickles down into the ‘Royal’ vibe at the club. This vibe is BJJ at its best - friendly banter, zero ego and hard rolls if you want it. Equally you can progress as a beginners without fear of being smashed. I have the time/cash to train elsewhere, but for BJJ this is the best gi and no gi. The level of fitness and overall technique is also reflected in consistent top tier competition results by RGA. Also - very friendly and non-macho if you are female...

Fantastic experience: Really Great club , Roger and Foxy are great coaches , and both places are very welcoming, (Navan & Junction 6). 2 of my sons (11&9) have started and love it there with Roger and my daughter (4) has started in the younger kids classes which are coached by Sally , who is really great with the kids. Highly recommend RGA for anyone thinking of taking up jiu jitsu.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my wife ( purple and white belt) both done a drop in visit after recently returning from Australia. This gym is absolutely top standard. The teaching was next level. One of the head coaches Roger took the class and his movements in explaining each detail was a sight to behold. A true master of the art form. Each student of his that we met on the night were both respectful and warmly welcoming. Their gym fit out is as good as any top American Academy that you will come across. Cannot wait to visit again soon.

Two of the best coaches in Ireland and affiliated with Marcelo Garcia, one of the best to ever do it! Easy to get to and situated in a top class facility with showers and a food court in the building.

Fantastic experience: Spent two days training here after being invited to Dublin by a friend who is a member here. I was lucky enough to have a class by both the black belt coachs and the instruction was top class! The best thing about this place is how friendly and welcoming everybody is. Fantastic experience: I came to Royal Grappling Academy from another local gym after making a trip to NYC to visit Marcelo Garcia's academy. The world class standard of coaching, training partners, and facilites isnt exclusive to the New York gym, it's here too. The atmosphere on the mats is friendly and welcoming with great laughs and hard training. A great mix of classes and some of the best quality training partners I've ever rolled with. The step up in training that came with joining RGA is the best choice I've made for myself since I decided to try jiu jitsu. Roger and Paul's enthusiasm for jiu jitsu and for the development of their students is immediatly obvious. I consider myself very lucky to have this gym on my doorstep. Fantastic experience: 5 stars. The location is close to the National Aquatic Centre and the National Sports Campus. The facilities are very impressive, 2 floors with the second floor totally matted out with high quality grappling mats. The training area is beautiful with grey floor mats and white padded walls. The first floor has a large reception area with some coaches for relaxing, a well stocked club shop is on display behind the reception. Men's and ladies separate changing rooms with 4 lovely hot high pressure showers. The training is great for beginners and experienced grapplers alike. The gym is under the guidance of the Marcelo Garcia Academy in New York so they have a really sharp MG style game. The academy is clean, spacious, and modern with a very nice laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend.
