Adamstown Taekwon-Do

Welcome to Adamstown Taekwon-Do, a premier martial arts academy located in Dublin, representing the prestigious Grand Master Douglas Taekwon-Do Schools. As an affiliated member of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) Headquarters in Korea, we offer authentic, high-level training guided by world-class expertise. Led by Grand Master Val Douglas, a distinguished 9th Degree Black Belt with over 46 years of experience and former director of coaching for the Irish National Squad, students benefit from a curriculum designed to build discipline, confidence, and physical excellence.

Our inclusive environment welcomes practitioners of all ages and skill levels. We offer specialized classes tailored to distinct age groups, ensuring that every student receives instruction appropriate to their development. Children aged 5 to 8 years can join our engaging "Little Dragons" program, which introduces fundamental skills in a fun, supportive setting. Junior classes are available for children 8 years and older, while adult classes provide a rigorous training ground for beginners and experienced martial artists alike. All classes are carefully structured to separate adults and children, ensuring focused learning environments.

At Adamstown Taekwon-Do, we pride ourselves on a strong culture of progression and achievement. Our school regularly hosts official black belt and color belt grading events, with students achieving ranks from 1st to 6th Degree under the strict examination of Grand Master Douglas and certified officials. We also support advanced development through specialized courses, such as International Instructors Courses and umpire certifications, ensuring our instructors maintain the highest standards of technical knowledge and teaching capability.

Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, learn self-defense, or pursue a path toward a black belt, Adamstown Taekwon-Do provides a welcoming community and professional guidance.
