MKG North Dublin

Fantastic experience: I come from a Wing Chun background training in Grand Master William Cheung's Academy in Melbourne, Australia. William Cheung was Bruce Lee's senior in Hong Kong. It was increadibly hard to find a martial art of a similar lineage when I moved to Ireland. As soon as I realised the MKG school inherits from Dan Inosanto, Bruce Lee's protege student, I knew this was the school for me! Sifu James is an exceptional martial artist and at the same time very humble and patient in teaching the art. There is also a great feeling of community in the club and new comers are immediately made to feel welcome. Although it is a school that does not compete, the skills are very effective in self defence. There are also seminars with competive fighters from the broader MKG community as it is an international organisation. The school covers a blend of arts including Muay Thai, Kali, Wing Chun and grappling. It is absolutely a well rounded martial art and I love it!!

Fantastic experience: I had at really good time with the guys at MKG North Dublin. In little over a year there I gained confidence, disipline and reached a level of fitness that I never had before in my life. On the kickboxing side I learned the techniques required to transfer comfortably to one of the top MMA gyms in Dublin.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere, fantastic coaches and superfun classes. Very inclusive and supportive group where you can learn so many things from different Martial arts such as Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Kickboxing, Muay Thai.. Etc. Definitely give them a shout and check it out.

They are both quite shy but the coaches have the ability to inject such confidence in them and they love every single class. The couches are really positive and fun. So good for the body & the mind. The classes are absolutely brilliant value too. The best activity my kids have ever been in.

Great to get access to wealth of martial arts expertise both locally and internationally with leading European coaches visiting on a regular basis for MKG workshops. All ages welcome. Male and female adults train together. Martial arts include Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and more.

Fantastic experience: My 2 girls started this year at MKG, and have absolutely loved the experience. Not only are the coaches great, and it’s a really fun class but it has also helped build up their confidence, I would recommend MKG for any age!

James, Courtney and Darren are amazing at what they do. The three of them have great patience, so kind to the kids and have them in great mood leaving the class. Highly recommend for any child.

Fantastic experience: Love this class Started going 3 years ago and after the first class I was hooked. James and Courtney are so patient and will go through a set over and over until you are 100% sure what you are doing. Even during covid and the lockdowns James and Courtney made sure we still got our classes be it via zoom or outside and socially distanced. They were kind enough to allow me to continue coming to class throughout my pregnancy and now that I’m a new mammy I can not wait to get back to class. Their kickboxing class is not like any other exercises class, it’s actually a lot of fun as well as seeing results. I can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I joined MKG north Dublin kickboxing class in Jan 2020. Through all the madness of a global pandemic, James and Courtney turned up either in outdoor spaces or on zoom meetings to continue running the class. It was so great to feel like we still had something to go to and learn and train during the madness. Now that we are back in person, we can be pushed to the limits while also learning new skills in a fun friendly environment. All fitness levels can join in. Really love the kickboxing classes and great bunch of people. If u enjoy boxing and fitness you will enjoy this class.

Fantastic experience: After a few years of inconsistent patterns of exercise classes, I started a Kickboxing Class with MKG North Dublin Martial Arts a few weeks ago, and I am really loving it! I was a bit nervous & unsure at first, as it was like nothing I’ve ever done, but Coach Courtney & James are really encouraging & observant on your skill sets & what you are able to do. They really motivate you & teach you the right moves for you to get the best out of the class. I also see huge results in my fitness levels & it helps me sleep better too. My little boy (5) also started Warriors, and he adores going to class & learning all the moves. Again, all the Coaches are amazing with the children. They make it a fun environment, as well as a space where they are learning. I believe it also teaches him a level of disciple and self control. I found him breathing through an argument the other day! I would highly recommend MKG North Dublin Martial Arts - for little kids and us big kids!
