Fantastic experience: Good place to workout

Fantastic experience: I will start by saying I normally read reviews but I don't give them. However, I felt it was necessary to post a review here as the experience has been one of the best gym experiences I've ever had. As the manager for a Navan softball team (mixture of rounders and baseball), the sport itself is very static (stop/go) using specific movements and muscles. When I signed up with Go Gym Ashbourne, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful! As part of the sign up, they measured my body fat, weight, etc. and gave me a print out of the information (which i thought was pretty cool!). The thing that puts them over the top was that when I had mentioned to Seana (manager) that I play Softball, Seana took the time to research what Softball was and what movements and muscles were used in that sport. She then came to me the next day with a workout plan designed specifically around me and my needs. I've never been to a gym that cared that much about their clients or that put that much effort into bettering their clients gym experience. The fact that the gym is clean, has good/working equipment, lots of space, etc. These also help to make the gym great. The customer service is second to none and you can see first-hand how they do things differently. Very happy with this gym and would highly recommend to anyone looking to better themselves physically. Thank you Seana, Mags, and team!

Negative experience: I have been training there for a year and the gym is good, staff friendly, nothing to complain... apart from cancelling membership. The worst experience ever! I knew I will be moving so I explicitly asked staff member when to cancel. I followed the directions. What a surprise when I saw 2 more payments taken from my account! I rang the gym and have been told that there is 2 months notice period and that's why. I have been also told that when I cancelled I haven't paid it (apparently I should have paid these 2 months when cancelling). When I pointed out that I explicitly asked about it the lady on the phone, apparently one of the managers there, kept repeating that I signed a contract. I don't argue I did, I argue I have been given incorrect information that led to paying extra. If staff member informed me of the timeline when I asked (explicitly!) I would have cancelled earlier and avoided additional payment. Also, when I cancelled, I haven't been told there should be a payment made. I have been explicitly told it's cancelled, no further payment will be taken. Therefore, 2 big NOs: 1. Staff gives (intentionally or out of incompetence) wrong information that may cost you money 2. Management has only one answer: you singed a contract. You ask: Why I have been given incorrect information that led to extra costs... Answer: you signed contract. And the last straw... I asked for email confirming that my membership is cancelled (after all, last time when I cancelled I was still charged!)... and got it... with info that as I haven't paid these 2 months notice, as a gesture of GOOD WILL my last payments will be treated as fulfilment of my obligation... that's why I decided to put it here.... giving incorrect information that leads to extra payments I can understand, maybe staff is not trained... but then trying to insult me by saying they are doing me a favour? The worst customer service ever.

Fantastic experience: This is a lovely, spacious, clean gym with great equipment. The staff and trainers are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. They have a fantastic choice of classes included in membership. 10/10. Love this gym!!

Fantastic experience: I am a member of Go Gym Ashbourne and find the staff very professional in there approach when need help, also the Gym floor ,toilets ,showers/locker room very clean the equipment top of the range and well maintained loads of parking the place to Go

Negative experience: Very surprised to see the good rating the have As a gym it is an excellent one at that On the very much down side they try to scam people out of money by not cancel membership pay as you go ( circumstances change all the time ) my advice to anyone filling out contracts is to scribble this out when signing its crazy to think this is honest

Positive experience: This gym is awesome. It’s the fourth gym I have been a member of over the years and it’s by far the best. It has clearly been put together by people who understand what a great facility should provide. Great equipment and multiples of the the most in demand, such as the bench press. There’s also a good, fun atmosphere there. I didn’t give the full 5 stars because a lot of the lockers don’t close properly, and if you don’t want to be surrounded by gangs of pubescent boys and girls, it’s essential to go when school or college is in attendance. Fair play to the youth for working out, but they haven’t a clue about gym etiquette. In between sets, they sit on the machines and benches spending ages on Instagram or whatever, infuriating!

Fantastic experience: I really like this new gym. Great facilities and super variety of classes to suit everyone, no matter what your fitness goals are. But most of all I like the fact that there's a really open, friendly, inclusive vibe there and I think that's driven by the management and all the instructors.
