Fantastic experience: The best of carlow

Negative experience: Not a bad gym in a convenient location, but it has several significant problems: 1) When you sign up for a monthly membership (€39.99), they ask for an IBAN account even if you pay in cash and it's not an auto-renewal contract. This at least violates the GDPR in terms of personal data collection. 2) The dumbbells are always in a chaotic order and if you train with dumbbells, you will have to spend a lot of time finding the right pair and this makes it almost impossible to perform a set with different weights.

Negative experience: Did not visit

Fantastic experience: Great gym with great staff. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a small gym so don't expect a warehouse full of machines. But it has everything you need and it's not busy usually. There are free classes on every day as well. They will make a fitness plan for you. The price is around 35-40 a month so it's way cheaper than the other gyms in Carlow. Super easy to cancel your membership and the staff is also really helpful with whatever queries you have. Things to improve on: Set the AC lower when it is sunny because it feels like global change did it's job already. Add a water fountain. It's a bit strange there isn't one. Having to register for classes 1 week before they are one is painful as I have no idea what I'll be doing in a week. If there would be a way to just register classes a few hours before if there are places available it would be great.

Negative experience: Lovely staff in this branch however the energie fitness policies are ridiculous. You can’t cancel your membership online like it says you can, they will try and pause your membership when you go in rather than let you cancel it, then restart it a couple months later without checking with you first, charging your account in the process. Good new machines however there isn’t allot of variety in certain muscle groups.

Negative experience: Hello! This energyfitness center in Carlow saves only trainers who really work and want to work. The studio floor is very dirty and is never vacuumed or washed. None of the discounts they offer work in Ireland. Exercise mats are very dirty.

Negative experience: The staff are nice in there but their system needs serious updating. I left this gym months ago and I still get messages every other day after already spending credit to stop them. Never had an experience like that in a gym before; incredibly irritating.

Positive experience: The gym is located near the town centre easily accessible by public transport and the gym is large enough to accommodate most of the important equipment. Overall recommended

Positive experience: Would love if the exercise bikes were on the floor not just in the studio, also if the machines weren’t so close to the front door as it can be intimidating to use them. Otherwise love the yoga classes and vibe of the place - very welcoming!

Negative experience: Overpriced gym. They lure you in with offers and then after a few months they send a mail mentioning they have to increase due to xyz reasons. Has decent equipment but a little congested tbh. Circuit area is too small. And what gym don’t consider having a drinking water faucet. If a gym doesn’t have a drinking water / RO system, it’s just not at par with other gyms around. They just want you buying water from the vending machines. When I join a gym the least I expect is to have RO drinking water faucet. Perhaps this needs to be the next update to the gym if anyone is hearing. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Very nice gym in the centre of town. They have wide range of equipment for beginning, and advanced workout. I also like the clear floor space for stretching, and workout on the mat. I don't attend classes, but there are many to chose too. It's also very affordable price. Great experience every time.

Positive experience: Great location, cheap membership, clean and bright changing facilities, limited selection of machines, no abductor, no Smith, no back or hyper extension, no stairmaster, no v squat. They do have a decent hip thrust machine, leg press, cables, squat rack and a variety of arm machines. Cable equipment clips are damaged, very slow to replace cable ankle cuffs, only 2 available and kept behind desk, none for over a month. Fitness plan beyond useless, I signed up for one was asked verbally what I wanted to achieve, no weighing, measurements or assessment of current fitness and never received a plan despite paying premium membership for two years. Only go for premium membership if availing of classes, it's good value for that. Some staff a lot more helpful than others, the person I asked for the plan seemed hassled by the request and took little to no info from me. I moved to empower because their machines were more suited to my goals, arguably you could do the same exercises with a bit of variation using energie's gear. If you like classes, cardio and the regular gym set up this gym is great value in an excellent location.

Positive experience: I went to see about signing up today Wed, at 18:30 and it was locked up. I could hear a class going on so I'm assuming they lock the doors when there's a class? It's really strange and a bit annoying because I walked into town specifically to go there so they should say somewhere that they lock the doors and give the specific times to not waste other people's time.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere, friendliness and upbeat tempo that you're met with each time you enter énergie fitness carlow! Well for me makes this the best gym in carlow. The classes are all varied and instructed with a very high standard. You won't be disappointed.. I've been a member of 4 different gyms and without hesitation, I would rate énergie fitness carlow 10/10 each time.

I had just shy of 7 weeks use of the equipment, it truly was brilliant to be able to work out properly from home, and also have the online classes such as Spin to keep me fit throughout lockdown. Fantastic experience: Super Friendly staff great gym loads of equipment, they even got new equipment during the lockdown. Gym is super clean and tidy staff are super friendly i have been going to this gym since January 15th 2020 and every time a lockdown came i was disappointed that the gym was closed. The staff have also helped me trough a tough time just before the second lockdown there is no better place to go in Carlow than Energie fitness i would highly recommend giving this gym a go.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love energy fitness gym, i missed it so much during lockdown i had no motivation at home alone. When the outdoor classes started back I couldn't wait to take part. They were even better than I'd hoped. I feel so much better and stronger now i look forward to the next one every time. I've so much more energy and what makes it better is the team of instructors, they are all so sound and very approachable. I would recommend energy to everyone beginners and pros as they cater for everyone, 5 stars from me!!!

Fantastic experience: From the moment I phoned enquiring about joining the gym I felt welcomed. Joining a gym can be daunting but not with energie, they show you around and are happy to have you in classes regardless of your fitness level. The gym is spotless and they are very conscious of covid regulations. Rebecca is a great PT and listens to what the client wants.. At the start of the Yr I joined a different gym in Carlow and didn't have a great experience so I left and am so glad that I did because all the staff at energie have welcomed me. Overall the gym is well equipped, clean, professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, felt very safe and the centre was spotless, lots of sanitisers and equipment marked off in line with Covid guidelines. Kevin was excellent at explaining the advanced booking process, fees etc, and explaining the equipment.

Fantastic experience: Just out from a class with Rebecca. I really wasn't in the mood tonight but really glad I went. Rebecca gave us a cleverly laid out class that was so tough but really doable. Half the battle is mental but when a class is organised we'll, it makes doing the hard work more manageable. I love the gym and all the instructors. I'm there a year soon and it's been the best year of my life. I smashed my goals and gained confidence. I would recommend joining the Energie Fitness Carlow family where you'll be given a warm welcome every time you train.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined this gym a couple of weeks ago. The gym has brilliant new equipment and has well trained staff always happy to help. The gym is set up for social distancing and everything flows perfectly

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the reopening of the gym and the Covid restrictions. The equipment is well spaced out and the gym is very clean. Temperature checked as you walk in and only a certain amount allowed in at one time. Booking online is very easy to do. Was a bit apprehensive about coming back after a few months break but was put at ease straight away.

Fantastic experience: Energie Fitness is the best gym in town. Ive been in them all. The classes are awesome with lots of variety, Top of the range gym equipment and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Feel very safe getting back there too as they keep the place spotless.

Fantastic experience: I rejoined ènergie Fitness Carlow as soon as they reopen at the end of June. I feel very safe training there. the staff is always very professional helpful and friendly. It is good to be back training in the gym as always ènergie provides a good variety of classes suitable for each level so you never get bored in the ènergie Fitness gym.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym over one year ago and it was the best decision I ever made. The management and staff were so friendly and accommodating in helping me set fitness goals and achieving them. I could not have asked for anything more. Not only is there so many classes on offer the gym itself is maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. With state of the art equipment I could not have asked for anything more in this gym. With such cheap and affordable member ship you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this gym to anyone of any fitness level. The staff here take such a vested interest in your fitness goals they will go above and beyond to help you achieve them. You could not find any better gym to join!

Negative experience: On many occasions money has been taken out of my account even when I had called and asked for them not to( asked for a freeze).They have not offered return or any compensation. Don't go if wanting to save money and save time contacting staff about financial issues being caused by them, Theres are better gyms for cheaper prices. Also have to give 30 day notice of cancellation otherwise they take money out + another months ( as cancellation fee )
