Fantastic experience: Excellent experience all round, nothing was too much trouble for the staff here. A great service delivered with a smile.

Negative experience: Went for lunch. The food was terrible and terribly expensive for middle of the road.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic stay! Really impressed with the staff and the small touches - like how the patio seating area had sunglasses for guests and the kids food was buffet style so they could see why they were ordering and could try why they wanted. Excellent all around service!

Negative experience: Stayed here for valentines with my girlfriend, room was nice but bath had no hot water and Netflix didn’t work on the TV even when advertised it did, spa was utterly terrible. Sauna, steam room and hot tub were all tiny which meant you were shoulder to shoulder with other people and right next to the pool with screaming children so impossible to relax. Isn’t really a relaxing spa more like a community spa. Food was amazing in earth and vine restaurant but service was terrible, staff are all very amateur and ignore you by purposely looking away when you’re trying to catch their attention. Took us 25 minutes to order before waiting another 15 minutes for a drinks menu to arrive. Will definitely not be back as there is much nicer hotels with real spa facilities such as the Johnstown estate which we have stayed at before and will definitely be returning to.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful area and very nice hotel. Staff were very accommodating and the room was incredible. As an unexpected bonus, the Irish National soccer team was staying there, so it was fun to see all the young kids getting autographs and photos with the players.

Fantastic experience: 5 years ago, my husband and I came to this hotel, hoping to have an amazing honey moon, Everything was like a dream but sadly the next day we got a note in our room asking us to leave the hotel because of the pandemic, we were so so soooo sad (I críed the whole night) and had no idea where to go since we are from San Diego USA, even I wrote a letter to the Manager for a special reservation in one of the restaurants but we could not enjoy anything since we had to look for another place to stay for our whole honey moon, I only keep the hope to return one more time to Ireland and at least go and have dinner at the hotel. Its an amazing hotel to stay✨

Positive experience: As this is a fairly local hotel, I am here quite frequently for both business and recreational reasons. Always found it to be nicely glitzy without too much pomp and ceremony if you know what I mean. It's a high quality venue and has itself nicely priced in the mid range for food and drinks. Having stayed a few times the rooms are luxurious and clean. But it's a bit pricey. That said its a huge Hotel with so many different areas to choose from for drinks and food. I like it. It's casual and yet you're not out of place dressed up either. Lots of functions and corporate events so it can be a bit busy at times. Staff are pleasant and helpful, never had a bad experience there at all. Heaps of parking outside and a great pool and spa for the extra special stays.

Fantastic experience: Just spent one night here, but the service was so good and people were so friendly I am looking forward to going back. The breakfast was really great too.

Negative experience: Booked a family lunch for my daughter birthday, the experience was not Good the service was extremely bad . The Guy serving our table was rude . We order 3 BLT @ 20 euros each , a chicken sandwich @ 20 euros, a child's chicken and chips , 2 coffee and 2 teas . Omg the smell of oil of the child's meal , the chicken was dripping with oil and topped full of saltv , the chips ware burned , the BLt ,s had lumps of fat , no bacon the lettice had seen better days , absolutely disgusting

Fantastic experience: My sisters and I chose Castleknock Hotel for our short break. It was an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived at the hotel to the moment we left, it was all just perfect. And the reason for that is the staff. They are all just lovely, friendly and highly professional people. They genuinely care about the guests and care about the service they provide. We left the hotel with the impression that each member of staff has been carefully selected and really well trained. The room was comfortable and clean, the food was excellent and the location beautiful but it is definitely the atmosphere that made our stay so memorable. I highly recommend the hotel and especially the Stay and Dine package.

Fantastic experience: We done a spa day and afternoon Tea here today for my friends birthday. I have to say it was a breath of fresh air to see such amazing staff! In every part of the hotel . The afternoon Tea was great! The treatments were amazing. Not the most amazing leisure area I've ever been too but nonetheless it was fine. 5/5 would definitely visit again.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for the night in a suite and it was an amazing room the beds were comfortable, the room was spacious ,we can not fault it. I have to give a mention to 3 staff in particular . Rita served us during our meal and she was so informative and just had such a friendly manner. Then Josh was in the lobby area while we had a drink and he was under pressure as it was extremely busy but he kept so calm and was able to assist everyone, while having breakfast I had enquired about gluten free options and the lovely Laura couldn’t have been more helpful and was so well educated on allergies. We will definitely be back again.

Negative experience: Recently stayed in this hotel with my family for a christening. I have never encountered ruder staff in my life. The receptionist was outwardly rude and confrontational. I did not catch her name but she had red hair. The breakfast staff - lady who was sitting people for breakfast was the rudest woman I have ever met. When trying to exchange pleasantries she was short and unfriendly. My room was booked as a treble- 2 adults and a child and she looked at my child (who is tall) and scoffed and said the room is only for 2 adults I don’t know how this has anything to do with restaurant staff but she made it her business. I explained it was a treble room and she walked away from me. I paid over €300 for my room and almost €300 for dinner and drinks in this hotel. I expect to be treated better- you need to retrain your senior staff on basic customer service and personable interactions. I will never stay here again nor would I recommend this establishment to anyone

Fantastic experience: We had the most incredible experience at Castleknock Hotel for our wedding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding coordinator than Ciara! From the moment we started planning, Ciara was an absolute dream to work with. She was so attentive, professional, and always made sure everything was on track, while also making us feel completely at ease. Her kindness and genuine care for our day made all the difference – we truly felt like we were in the best hands. The hotel staff were equally amazing. Every detail was taken care of, and everyone was so helpful and accommodating throughout the day. The venue itself is stunning, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect for our celebration. Ciara and the team made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our guests were blown away by how beautiful and seamless everything was. The food, the service, the atmosphere – it was all top-notch. We’re so grateful to Ciara and the entire Castleknock Hotel team for making our wedding day truly unforgettable. Fantastic experience: I am especially writing to thank the chef: our son has some very annoying and scary allergies and the chef had kindness to come to our table to discuss those with us. He then prepared a special meal for him which was so kind. Actually, everybody was kind and nice. Our stay was unplanned (flights issues) but we ended up having a lovely time at the hotel and in Dublin.

Negative experience: Attended my sisters Wedding reception in hotel. The food and the service was excellent. The waiting staff were all very attentive to all our needs. The venue and room were beautiful. Only negative is the poor acoustics which impacted on quality of sound of music during the meal. Maybe some sound boards could improve the quality of sound. Positive experience: Received a one night stay as a gift which was booked for Saturday 11th January. Rooms and hotel are beautiful and luxurious. Hotel was very busy and we were advised to reserve a table for dinner via phone we tried this for half an hour but no answer so we went down at 7.15 and told next table available at 9 but to come early but left waiting half an hour for table and left waiting to order. Fish & chips €25.50 but fish cold and chips burnt so partner sent his back. Mainly young staff rushed off their feet and no sign of any senior staff to help. No apology and drinking water was Luke warm. I think more attention is paid to parties than hotel guests. Hotel is lovely but I would recommend checking out local places to eat as menu is very limited and a bit overpriced and service not the best and we weren't planning on having dinner at 10 at night.

Negative experience: Waited 10 mins in bar to be served. One staff member serving behind bar making cocktails, ( delay not her fault when she is on her own). 2 other staff members came off the floor behind bar I asked for service and they left again. After I was served staff on floor sarcastically said "so you got served then" when obviously there was now a drink in front of me. Not the service you would expect. Understaffed and rude.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous...beautiful hotel, lovely food, Andrew in the restaurant really goes out of his way to look after guests, excellent staff on reception, gorgeous views, spotlessly clean. Fantastic spa, the staff in the hotel are exceptional! Can not wait to return

Positive experience: Had Christmas party there and it was really overcrowded..food was cold..entertainment was great and the staff were run off their feet however the service was overall poor..hotel is gorgeous and clean and plenty of carpark space..maybe don't serve some of the table their food and leave the rest waiting at least 30ty minutes

Negative experience: I was in this hotel for lunch on New year's eve, the lobby was very busy. We waited in the bar, with staff rushing by us as if we were not there. We eventually called a barman who informed us that we had to go to the other bar, off we went to the other bar. As we were waiting to be served, I observed a manager berating a staff member in front of customers and other staff. It was hard to miss as he was waving his hands and was very angry, this was so unprofessional. This manager had a beard and it was 2pm, I felt like saying something as I've worked in this area for many years, but I just observed poor management and unhappy staff. We sat out in the glass area, where we found a crooked Christmas tree and water leaking in on the floor. All in all, a dismal new year's eve experience. I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Not one thing to be faulted , staff very friendly, atmosphere and ambience perfect. Rooms were spotless and well presented.

Positive experience: I had food with my kids, they both had nice meals but my pasta dish was not great quality, the bowl was over filled and it tasted like it was reheated and not fresh

Positive experience: Food was great .staff were very helpful.but very hard to get a place to eat here as they don't allow kids in the bar to eat .the restaurant was full so we had to leave as they also don't allow us bring food to the lobby to eat and as me and my kids are gluten free there was no food for us in there lovely coffee and treats place in the lobby..also there price for a single room is crazy .I had a family room for myself and partner and 4 kids which was just 20euro more expensive than a single room for my 20, year old daughter

Positive experience: Just reviewing lunch here. The hotel is lovely and very professional and nicely decorated. Our server was excellent helpful and prompt. The criticism I would have is regarding the lunch menu. It is very basic (the prices are not though!) and typical of what you’d see offered as pub grub in any bar nearby. I would expect a better menu of this establishment.

Negative experience: They do not take criticism well because they're so used to only hearing the best of things from guests about their stay. We have shared our manifold concerns with management, who have thus far not addressed any of them.

Negative experience: We got married on November 29th at the Anglers Rest. Over a year ago, we booked 10 rooms for friends and family at this hotel. We are a same sex couple and were told that we would have the honeymoon suite for our wedding night- usual! All our guests checked in the night before the wedding, vast many staying for 2 or 3 nights! We arrived from the wedding to be told that we would NOT be staying in the honeymoon suite. We were put into a room on the ground floor beside the pool. A congratulations card with a food plate ( literally an apple, 4 strawberries and a few grapes) . I was furious but the managers on duty seemed not to give 2 fxxks. TBH if we were a bride and groom, I really feel that this would not happen! The following day we were met by a lady who told us that her ‘ heart hurt’ because of what had happened and that she would investigate it and come back to us! We got married on November 29th and not so Much as an email or call!! If you are planning a stay, a wedding or staying there if you are getting married in (what is an amazing venue) anglers rest and booked rooms there! ( and are same sex couples) I would have to say avoid- don’t give them your business!! They certainly did not appreciate ours nor make us feel anything but a burden on our wedding day! Devastated!

Positive experience: This hotel was absolutely stunning. They accommodated our needs and requests. A very ideal location if you're in to park runs as there is one not even 10 mins walk up the road which I thoroughly enjoyed. One of the nicest park runs I've attended. The food here was fantastic and the cocktails were also very delicious I had booked in for the spa, this was my only disappointment, I booked in for a full body Swedish massage ‍♀️ I thoroughly enjoy massages, but this was a major let down. For the cost I was paying I was left disappointed and still tense. If you are looking for a relaxing no pressure massage this is completely for you. I received a rub down more than a massage with very little to no pressure. The spa itself and the ladies who work there were absolutely amazing and so beautiful. Just the massage was a major let down for me. Otherwise, absolutely amazing

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for 5 nights during October. The hotel was very busy, with weddings, guests and day visitors. The staff coped reasonably well with everything, but you did have to wait a while in the resturants. The quality of the food and beverages was excellent, as was the room, decor and facilities. Plenty of parking, staff were generally excellent.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful place to stay. The room was spacious. There was everything required for a stay. The hotel and room service were very good, helped me with ordering taxi etc. The only downside was a waiting time in the restaurant. Very busy, always occupied- which is a good sign, food was delicious! Perhaps more staff is required? Anyhow, highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Spent amazing day with my girls celebrating my birthday in SPA. Wonderful treatment, lovely relaxing zone and sparkling Prosecco made us feel as newborns. A lot of facilities in swimming pool allowed to enjoy the day fully. Afternoon tea was delicious and staff were very friendly.

Negative experience: My daughter and I rang this morning 9th November 2024 to book two nights in July of next year for my daughters wedding which she was having reception elsewhere. We wanted to stay the night before the wedding with the bridal party and then all guests stay the day of the wedding which was on the Wednesday of that week. We were told by the reservation lady that if their was a wedding on on that day that my daughter would have to go out a different exit as not to be seen by the other bride or change at the reception venue. I was in total shock as the rooms would have cost us up to 2,000 euro or more. I am very disappointed and annoyed by this as all our guests and bridal party were looking forward to staying here. Positive experience: 2 nights in Castleknock. A good hotel. Good food and comfortable rooms, great service. On our first night our room 211 was above a wedding and it was very loud until 2am. We were quickly moved but should not have happened and a hassle. 2nd room quiet. There was live music in the lounges which was nice but too loud to enable you to speak without shouting.

Fantastic experience: We were there for a meal and catch up and the hotel is beautifully decorated. I used to live in Clonsilla and would be there a lot but now live in Navan. Hotel staff very attentive and friendly. Hope it's not too long before I'm back there

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding meal in the Earth and Vine restaurant this month and we cannot fault it. The staff were so lovely. They gave us a gorgeous long table and allowed us to decorate the table as we liked. They also had a separate table set up for our wedding cake. We really appreciated all of this. They accommodated 22 of us including children. So accommodating. The food was really beautiful. Very clean also. I would recommend. Thank you for making us feel welcome and special. Thank you for being so kind and understanding with all of the children.

Positive experience: Service desk was helpful and polite. A young lady with red hair was very helpful. The hostesses in the restaurant was very polite, nice and helpful. They made my birthday a pleasant one. The spa ladies was very . I would have been better if there was more things that the Spa was licenced or had the capability. We had a Swedish massage which was pleasant. If your looking for something with pressure to release stress and work out the kinks this is not the place . What was advertised and what the Spa had is very different .Although the rooms are cleaned on request. There was still things like taking out the garbage and clean towels and wash supplies that was not presented . The hotel really only have 1 restaurant that is in three parts which is a false advertisement. I was very disappointed with the food. With all these little things this hotel is still a pleasant one . Breakfast was awful very disappointed. Room service was not a great one. It took me 3 days to get someone to answer the phone for room service . However, the hotel have a pool, very nice gym, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The hotel is very clean, in a safe area. It close to Dublin center and other restaurants..

Fantastic experience: Did not stay in the hotel , I had lunch and dinner here several times and it was very good value and prompt service. This hotel is probably one of the most popular and busy establishment I have ever visited. Always a good buzz here.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a party at the hotel in the Castle Suite. From first contact to the end everything was perfect. The room was beautifully presented. The food was fantastic and the staff, especially the two girls who attended to us all night, were more than helpful. Thank you for making our birthday party a success.

Positive experience: I have visited this hotel a few times but never stayed there. It is owned by the FBD Insurance Company, it is very nice inside and kept very well outside with plenty of parking space.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit absolutely brilliant we stayed six nights loved every day. The staff were all so lovely we had a little bit of managing our phones sorted in moments we are returning in May looking forward to it already.

Fantastic experience: Came here to get dinner before attending the afters to a wedding at The Anglers Rest. The food was nice though a bit pricey. Our server was very pleasant and always came back to ensure all was satisfactory. Ambience was excellent and felt welcoming.

Fantastic experience: This hotel was perfect for a relaxing break without my kids, but at times I wish I’d had them, the little playground and football goal would have gone down a treat, I’m sure I’d have hardly seen the kids. The vegan options on the menu were fantastic, especially the fish cake tacos. I think a bigger deal should be made of these because they are so delicious. It’s a really lovely vegan alternative but still has a sea flavour and a nice little kick of spice. It was perfect for lunch but if you’re really hungry and want them as a dinner maybe get chips on the side. The breakfast is great too, the smoothie of the day is a lovely touch. And the self-service pancake machine would have been such a hit with my kids, but I still enjoyed them myself. The girl beside me said slaaaay as they popped out, I think she was excited too. The pool is a lovely temperature and a great space for kids to swim, but because I was without mine I waited until after 6 so I had the lane to myself. It was very peaceful. In the spa, Ana did the most incredible hot stone massage and facial. She really gave it everything, I felt so cared for and relaxed after. And the yogurts, fruits, teas and Prosecco in the relaxation room, it covers anything you could possibly need. And then those fancy Dyson hairdryers in the hotel room so I didn’t look like Hermione Granger heading down to dinner. And the coffee dock in the lobby is worth a visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel. I can see why the lobby is very popular with both locals and visitors, the energy of the place is really buzzy, with the live music in the evenings, and perfect for people watching.

Fantastic experience: Love the ambiance in the foye and restaurant. Service is second to none. A long time since I stayed over but I meet friends there every Sunday morning for coffee. Also had my 60th birthday party in the restaurant and it was a fantastic night. 20 family members attended. I just love the Castleknock Hotel.

Positive experience: I couldn't fault the actual staff working behind the bar but she was alone serving wedding guests cocktails and myself and companion were left 15 mins before any acknowledgement of our existence. No cavalry arrived either. There just didn't seem to be enough staff. However it is some hotel, I just loved the size of the reception and bar area and the decor was fresh and up to date. We went out to the sunny garden where the childrens' playground and football goal were in constant use.Made us smile.

Positive experience: Fab at times but on some of our visits it's full of parties etc people in robes from the sauna walking into the bar at night time . No dress code for the restaurant etc it's 4 star? Staff are lovely etc. But client base has changed we feel, the lady with us witnessed a fight one eve outside lots of rowdy crowds at times , a dress code definitely needed in. bar restaurant etc not shorts and lots of tattoos. Lights are very bright in the lime tree bar at the back. Not so relaxing.

Fantastic experience: What a great hotel ! We got a suit for our wedding which wasn’t at the hotel but everything was absolutely fabulous! The staff were amazing , the breakfast was great ( would recommend if you opt out for bringing it in the room ) . Bed was huge and so comfy !! Had Dyson hairdryer , aircon and lamp ( perfect for my wedding makeup) Lovely swimming pool ( heated ) , steam room and sauna ! Loved it ! Defo will be back for our anniversary thx guys !!! Fantastic experience: We went there last year and returned again for an overnight spa experience on the 18th of August, 2024 and I can say with confidence we will be returning very soon. Fantastic customer service, great food and cocktails, in addition to the cost. The hotel has something for everyone, it's kid and adult friendly and very accessible. Fantastic experience: We stayed for one night at Castleknock with our toddler and we absolutely loved it! The room was a brilliant size, and a fridge and a clean travel cot provided. I was particularly impressed with the Dyson hairdryer and attachments in the bedroom. We were early for check in, so we were able to use the swimming pool and facilities. They have one baby changing room in the ladies changing room, which was definitely helpful. We ate in the 22 Bar and Restaurant, and the food was outstanding. They also have a children's buffet, so our toddler was able to eat immediately which was a blessing! This is also the same for breakfast - game changer for families! The staff were absolutely fantastic, and couldn't do enough for you. There was a wedding on in the hotel the night we stayed but honestly we didn't notice - it was brilliant. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous hotel. We travelled down from Co.Derry for 2 nights with 3 young children (aged 6, 4 and 2) On checking into room the 3 children received welcome packs. This was such a lovely touch. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. The Dyson hairdryer was a lovely treat. The hotel facilities are excellent for couples or families. Swimming pool along with sauna and steam room and gym. Also a small play park on site. Restaurant and bar area is so relaxing. Food was delicious and service was even better. Staff extremely friendly. A great base if you plan to travel in your car. Short drive to Aquazone and Dublin Zoo. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic experience: Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend for a family wedding. Beautiful inside and the gardens outside too. Service top notch, would recommend for couples and families mainly but also great for a business trips especially if you enjoy some golf.

Fantastic experience: Excellent as usual. Been to this hotel, maybe 10 times now. Had a free upgrade in room before but was all the better this time. Trip away was for my daughter so she really enjoyed the upgraded room, beside the children's park and pool also. Made all the difference to our stay. Staff very friendly and especially in the restaurant. Made to feel welcome. We will be back.....

Fantastic experience: Checked in for the night for our sisters birthday. The rooms and hotel are fab. The food is just beautiful. We sat in the foyer which is a fab area being entertained by a great one man band. We where served our drinks by a lovely fella called Jose from Brazil and we thought him a few cupla focal. Had the the best time in a fab location. Would definitely recommend and return. Marion, Bernie and Michelle.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel out from the city in lovely surroundings, 5 of us stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. Rooms were spotless with super comfortable beds. Staff were excellent and so friendly and the food was great. Variety of options in food and in the bars. Richi in the adult bar was great! Lovely open spacious entrance and lobby. We really enjoyed every minute of our stay and would return again.

Fantastic experience: Had a really beautiful stay here the staff were fantastic Celine a bar staff member really made out stay more enjoyable pity there not more bar staff around like her .girls in Spa treatment area really very Cautious and gave a Memorable neck massage took stiffness out of neck for me .dinner and breakfast staff a pleasure to be served by .will get up to visited again relax Comfortable surroundings 11 out of 10

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for a wedding, four kids and two adults into a single room. Usually it is hard to find rooms to accommodate our whole family but there was plenty of space. Kids loved the pool which was heated. The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of options for adults and kids. Would highly recommend staying here with and without kids.

Negative experience: Stayed 2 nights with partner and had the summer package, dinner one night and 2 free cocktails. Breakfast food is below average, ordered fish for dinner and it arrived ice cold in the middle, they replaced it with chicken but for the price it's not great at all - also came late so partner had to wait for me finish, they also asked for a tip after this.. Used cocktail vouchers and on checking out they tried to charge us for them and reception was unaware of this package or vouchers.. Fire alarm went off first evening no warning and was told by reception after that they were testing them.. For such an expensive place it's all frills and no substance. Will not be returning

Negative experience: Am a local, and gave it another chance last night. Ordered a glass of wine, which was off. The food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, my husband had a steak and i had the burger. The onion ring was soft and soggy on the burger. Food was cold, chips were greasy and hard, and just the small bits that would are left over. It's like the food is prepared in advance and then put in a microwave (not for long though), and brought out asap. Then had the orange chocolate cake, there was no taste of orange, it was a muffin that was heated with some fruit on the side. Like previous comments we have been going there over the years, but that's it, such a shame the food is so bad, they haven'tlearned. Won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel with great facilties. Great venue for a friends wedding with beautiful 4course dinner. Very professional staff. Breakfast was awesome and Maria in the lime tree bar was very accommodating and looked after us during late drinks. the 22 bar and restaurant served really nice dinner during our 1st day.

Positive experience: Just back from a really enjoyable stay at Castleknock hotel with my family. The food was really nice and waitress couldn't do enough for us. Also the pool was really nice. The bedroom was a little hot but I'd know next time to book an air conditioned room.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I had a fantastic stay here. We had an unfortunate experience a few months back through no fault of the wonderful staff. They kindly welcomed us back and we had a gorgeous experience. They offered us a beautiful suite overlooking the lake and golf course and left prosecco and truffles in our room. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They have a separate vegan/veggie menu and both times I've stayed here I was very impressed by the vegan options. They also have a great variety of vegan milks at breakfast which is a lovely touch. We are getting married locally next year and I will be recommending this wonderful hotel to all of our guests. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Just back from a one night stay with my partner and baby for my 30th birthday. I previously stayed at the hotel with a group of girls and my expectations were high, however I’m sorry to say we were disappointed overall with our stay this time around. Firstly upon check in we were informed that the pool was closed due to an incident, which I understand is out of the control of the hotel, however it left very little else for us to do with our 7 month old baby, and we had booked the hotel specifically as it had such leisure facilities. It was also communicated to us quite poorly with little clarity around when it might reopen. Given it was my 30th birthday we had booked a package which included prosecco and cake in the room on arrival, however these weren’t in the room and we had to call for them which to be honest took the novelty out of it. We ate in the bar that evening and were disappointed with the quality of the food - mainly the fish cake tacos which were frozen and tasteless. The room itself was fine, but very small in comparison to other 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in, especially for a family. I also found a silverfish insect crawling on the bathroom floor which was off putting. There were some positives - mostly attentive and good staff, the hotel reception and public areas are very nice and inviting. Unfortunately it seems this hotel has lots of potential but for us didn’t deliver.

Positive experience: Lovely stay for work, with great facilities and room 008 was great. Restaurant id very good and all the food to a very high standard. Pool is very good and long opening times which is handy.

Fantastic experience: Stayed just 1 night and had dinner. Accommodation is excellent and I can only describe the 3 course evening meal as absolutely superb! Have been back a couple of times for afternoon coffee. Great buzz about the place. Very relaxing

Negative experience: I've been trying to book some time in the spa, I've left my phone number, made 6 phone calls and have been informed on every phone call, I was put through to the reception on each occasion, I was told that the spa would be back in touch with me to arrange something. I have not been contacted and with such an established hotel I would expect better, much better. Very disappointing.
