Kilbarry Gymnastics Academy

Kilbarry Gymnastics Academy stands as Waterford City’s premier gymnastics facility, proudly serving the community since its establishment in 1984. Now under fresh ownership since 2020, the academy remains the oldest and most respected gymnastics club in the region, operating as an official affiliate of Gymnastics Ireland. This affiliation ensures that all members are fully registered, insured, and trained within a framework that prioritizes safety, professionalism, and competitive excellence.

Our mission is to help every athlete, regardless of age or ability, discover their potential in a friendly, fun, and supportive environment. We offer a comprehensive range of programs designed to build confidence, improve physical skills, and foster a lifelong love for the sport. From our GymStart classes for the youngest enthusiasts to our advanced competitive squads, we cater to all levels with expert instruction.

We are particularly proud of our diverse program offerings, which include:

• Recreational & Competitive Women’s Artistic Gymnastics: From beginner fun classes to a high-performance squad targeting national and international competitions.
• Men’s Artistic Gymnastics: Dedicated training for boys to master apparatuses such as rings, parallel bars, vault, and floor exercise.
• Acro & Display: Unique programs blending gymnastics, dance, and acrobatics for those interested in performance-based routines.
• Parkour: An energetic program for kids and teens focused on agility, climbing, and obstacle navigation.
• Inclusive Training: Specialized GymAble classes designed for gymnasts with disabilities or sensory needs, ensuring everyone has access to the joy of movement.
• Adult Gymnastics: Sessions for adults to rekindle old skills or start anew in a relaxed setting.

Safety and safeguarding are at the heart of everything we do. All our coaches are not only certified by Gymnastics Ireland but also undergo regular upskilling and Garda vetting. We strictly adhere to national safeguarding policies to ensure a secure environment for all young athletes. With top-class equipment, a highly qualified coaching team including Head Coach Maddie Croke, and a structured grading system to track progress, Kilbarry Gymnastics Academy is the perfect place for aspiring gymnasts to soar.
