Advanced Physio

Negative experience: I went to see this physio (darren) as I had sciatica and was in alot of pain and I thought he could help. It was my first time to see a physio so I did not know what to expect, and what I got was a breathing session and a video of him talking for €70. I could not believe I just paid someone €70 for a breathing technique talk for 30mins and NOT DO A THING TO ME and help in anyway whatsoever!! I actually paid him for a second session as i was non the wiser to what should have happened but when i told people how i got on they questioned to what exactly he done to help and told me to cancel and get a refund for the next visit. I am with a new one now that is absolutely brilliant, got to work on me straight away and within 3 sessions I can see the difference massively. My experience I would avoid and not recommend this person.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to see Terry regularly over the past few years to assist with a chronic injury to my neck and shoulder. Unfortunately, my injuries are not something that can be repaired but only managed and Terry, who is an absolute gentleman, has been the reason as to why the chronic pain is manageable when other people I visited could not assist. I cannot recommend Terry and Advanced Physio enough!

Fantastic experience: Went to numerous physiotherapists near me and was recommended to travel to Terry by numerous people. Working with him has solved all my issues. Great advice and comforting professionalism.

Negative experience: I'd like to start off by saying the physio is a gentleman with a good personality and definitely a healthy sense of self-confidence, with certificates on the wall of his practice. This unfortunately made him blind to my very real cervical neck problem, that now has reached the left side of my face which I now need a microdiscetomy for in Poland. I'm an athlete bodybuilder and security guard. I came to him because I had a snapping pain in my neck which then transcended to a tingling and numbness feeling in my fingers, which now were curled, also including a stiff neck. I knew something was not right. I did a series of nerve exercises with him .He said "my strength was good" but brushed over on why they were curled. As he said he had not seen the symptoms before he mentioned it could be the "cold" or "health "anxiety"he said "get a MRI for further diagnosis". I gave him the MRI he said "there is nothing to worry about all this looks normal" and gave me the go ahead, that I could still keep my routine at the gym as we talked about it. "Still training, that's good".Having massive neck pain, stiffness and curled fingers I thought to myself he's the physio he must be right. I continued for months with my active routine. I came back to him again, I paid €70 for what was best described as a neck massage for 30 minutes. He brushed off my health concerns as family or work related. Even in discomfort I thought I was crazy and continued. I got worse, now reaching the left side of my face eye twitching, and mouth shifting left and jaw pain and being very uncomfortable, looking at a screens. After months of continuing. But at least by this time there was advancements such as medical ai, where it knew what was happening to me. I got a new MRI and sent it to the doctor where he is now going to do surgery in Poland at a very high expense. This could have been stopped earlier. If he listened more than talked.

Fantastic experience: Went to see Terry 3 or 4 times and have to say was brilliant would highly recommend Terry I had lower back injury but each visit I got stronger

Fantastic experience: 33-year-old male. First time ever visiting a physio. I had a foot tendon injury for six weeks-two months before I attended. I was extremely impressed with the depth of knowledge the physio showed and honestly, aside from being given some exercises and a new approach to recovery, I learned a lot about how my body behaves during injury. I was very impressed and would go back (but hopefully won't need to :))

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Terry about a year ago.He's professional with a lot of knowledge in his field. I've visited a different physiotherapist prior to finding Terry, and couldn't recommend him more.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience on the treatment for my hip pain. The cause was looked at from all possible approaches and narrowed down and treated very effectively. Everything was explained in very clear and relatable terms, which gave me confidence in an introduction back into activity and recovery. I would highly recommend Terry for anyone considering or seeking physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: I originally attended Terry a number of years ago with long standing hamstring and groin pain along with a recurring shoulder problem. I have been to numerous practitioners over the years to no avail. With Terry's unique approach I have been back training and pain free ever since. I live in dundalk, however any time I have an injury I do not hesitate to travel up to see Terry. I would highly recommend him.
