Fantastic experience: Loved Hotel Kilkenny, absolutely perfect blend of the old building into a modern style, gym looks fab, staff were just brilliant, so nice, attentive, helpful but without disturbing you either. All covid compliant, masks, hand sanitizer etc without being weird or clinical. Unfortunately due to covid we couldn't get spa or pool bookings at all. Would def try get more of a package deal next time as was very hard navigate Spa site I found. Room was perfect, huge bed, out onto green area, gorgeous. All the food was excellent. So glad we went and will definitely be back. Well done

Fantastic experience: This place is Beautiful, we arrived early and the room wasn't ready so they upgraded us to a deluxe room free of charge, the Spa treatment was good, bar staff are very helpful and friendly which is a huge plus. I will definitely be going back here again and will recommend it to friends.

Fantastic experience: 'Sfunny but as a local you tend not see much of the hotels luckily I got to spend sometime here attending a wedding and I was really impressed it's a lovely wedding venue and perfect for special occasions or treat yourself weekends away

Fantastic experience: Great location within walking distance of all the best Kilkenny has to offer such as Kilkenny castle and the cathedral. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and flexible you could bacically get anything you want, not just what was on the menu.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stayed 3 nights.Every aspect of the Hotel we found ‘faultless’ .The room was lovely,bed really comfortable, staff really nice and helpful. Hygiene excellent. The quality and choice of produce at breakfast was fabulous. Well done.

Positive experience: Comfortable rooms and one of the best hotel gyms I’ve been to. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming but the food was disappointing - almost every dish came with chips. No healthy option . Could do with a menu revamp.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic hotel. Its a lovely 5 minute walk into kilkenny town centre. The Gym, Pool, Sauna & Spa are excellent. Their outdoor area when the sun is shining is where you want to be. Food menu has everything. Staff couldn't do enough for myself, husband and 1yr old.

Fantastic experience: Stayed for one night midweek. Great value hotel if you want a place to stay in Kilkenny city. The staff couldn’t do enough and were so friendly. The bathroom is a bit dated and dim but the room was lovely and has furniture with local black marble which is a nice touch. Bed was huge and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic experience: Had a fabulous staycation here. Staff were amazing and the hotel was just lovely. We booked in on a 2 night deal including dinners - best idea ever. The food was delicious and we were able to enjoy our meals and a few drinks in the comfort of our hotel. We actually ended up extending our stay by an extra night because we were enjoying ourselves so much and I have to say - I regretted not asking for dinner to be included. We ate in a nice spot in the town but with Covid restrictions that meant we could not enjoy a nightcap in the bar as we might've before. And of course when you can't have something you want it all the more! The pool facilities were really wonderful and we found the leisure centre staff were exceptionally obliging and friendly. We swam everyday in the pool and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We booked a timeslot to include the family pool which is shallower and ideal for smaller children. Our toddler loved it, he was happy enough in the main pool but really enjoyed the bubbles and independence of the shallower part. What else can I say? Our room was lovely, we booked a club room and requested one with a sofa bed as we thought that would suit our son best - it was great. We had a nice quiet spot on the 3rd floor overlooking the leisure centre. Due to Covid the rooms weren't made up during our stay (unless requested and we didnt feel it was necessary), we had towels and extra supplies upon request from the most lovely housekeeping staff. Really can't say enough good things. On our last day we booked massages and it was just heavenly. The Orchard Spa is in a seperate little building but it is certainly a wonderful addition to the Hotel. We came away from our staycation, with a toddler , feeling light as a feather!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel, staff excellent. We went down for a couple of days, it was the wife's birthday. As I said we could not fault the hotel at all, unfortunately we went down during covid and did hot get that whole experience, that's nobody fault, will definitely go back when there are happier times.

Fantastic experience: Hotel Rooms are equipped with everything u need..tea/coffee complimentary chocolate and water..iron and safe in room..robes and slippers. .Room well decorated beds so comfy..great room lighting plenty of channels on TV. .Staff friendly and helpful..Food not bad..very picturesque grounds and Hotel building..Wod stay again..

Fantastic experience: We recently had our wedding in this Hotel and we could not have asked for better. From our very first meeting with Joanne the wedding coordinator to Andrea who is also a wedding coordinator - to Des the Manager & go to person on the night of our wedding. We were blown away. Upon going to the venue in tally, whether it be visiting , a meeting or showing family the venue we were ALWAYS offered a drink or a meal, with no charge. This to us was the kindest touch, and spoke volumes. Des and the staff could not have done anymore for us on our Wedding day, absolutely nothing was a problem and everything I had requested was taken on board and accommodated , right down to very small things - but big things to us. The food was fantastic from start to finish, our wedding meal was piping hot, hot plates, unbelievable efficiency from staff- we had almost 300 guest seated for our meal and our meal was served and cleared up in 2.5 hours!!!!! Our late night food was delicious. Guests commended the hotel on how accommodating the staff were in relation to breakfast the next morning too, they went above and beyond with late room service, and late service of breakfast the following morning in the restaurant ( after a very early morning finish up from the residents bar). As a couple we have been to many wedding's and we know the standard has to be very high with big weddings to please everyone, and we could not fault one bit of our day. Our wedding day was the most enjoyable day of our lives and this was largely due to the efforts of the hotel. We would recommend this hotel highly. Claire & Kieran

Fantastic experience: I was really taken aback by how much I enjoyed my stay at the hotel Kilkenny. Came with the kids (4&6) and other members of the family incl kids and grandparents.I was a little concerned with Kilkenny as a destination for a weekend break and when we arrived there was a wedding and a couple of hens booked in so was expecting a couple of sleepless nights.....this did not happen. The rooms are super quiet,very comfortable and decently spaced. Breakfast and dinner at the bar is great and the facilities are excellent. Staff are lovely and really helpful and REALLY child-friendly,didn't need to use the on-site kids club but had a look and it's lovely. Bottom line:I'd definitely recommend the hotel as an option for both single folk and for families,100% will return.

Fantastic experience: Just spent a weekend her on a coach trip with Jones the Bus and had the most special of times. Great customer service by all staff, great rooms and very good food. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much to all the staff we meet.
