Fantastic experience: The hotel has very beautiful interiors, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and luxurious. The level of service was excellent, especially from Angelika, who resolved my issue immediately when it came to a restaurant reservation. I am very grateful to her for her help — she is absolutely the right person for her position. Swimming pool ok. The food was delicious, particularly the steak. Breakfast was also very good. Overall, everything was top class. I would definitely come back again.
Negative experience: Midlands Park Hotel systematically charges unauthorised transactions from clients — often multiple transactions (up to 10 at once) — without prior approval. Instead of resolving the issue properly by immediately refunding the money, the hotel pushes customers to “deal with the accountant”, who is constantly unavailable or “busy”, dragging the process out for weeks or even months. This does not look like an isolated incident. I have been hearing identical stories from different people for at least the last 6 months, especially from those who had the misfortune of subscribing to their spa services. At this point, it looks like a well-established scheme running on repeat, not a one-off mistake. Extremely disappointing and unacceptable behaviour from a hotel positioning itself as a premium establishment. I strongly advise potential customers to monitor their bank statements very carefully if dealing with this hotel or its spa.
Fantastic experience: We were treated extremely well, Sophia was down doing restorative justice in Portlaoise Prison and this place was perfect for what we needed.
Positive experience: Stayed in this hotel for 1 night for the Fureys concert. Everything was perfect. But it was very cold that night and the heating in the room wasn't kept on throughout the day which meant the room was quite cold when the heating was turned off. It couldn't be controlled from the room. My 90 year old father in law was with us so this wasn't ideal for him. We were given plug in heaters. We enjoyed the stay apart from that.

Fantastic experience: Zostałyśmy na jedną noc z okazji Christmas party . Miałyśmy małą przygodę na recepcji bowiem pomimo godziny 4pm nasz pokój nie był gotowy, a recepcjonista odesłał nas do lobby i kazał wrócić za 10 minut. Wróciłam i dalej nie był gotowy więc znowu chciał mnie odesłać wiedząc że basen zamykają o 6pm i nie zostało mi za wiele czasu żeby z niego skorzystać. Wytłumaczyłam więc Aaron , senior assistant manager jaki mamy plan i o której kolację na co on zabrał nasze bagaże i powiedział że się wszystkim zajmie. Poszłyśmy na basen, a on doniósł nam szlafroki i klucze do pokoju który był gotowy około 5pm. Czemu recepcjonista od razu nam tego nie zaproponował tylko odsyłał nas kilka razy? Pokoje są przestronne a strefa spa ma duży basen, niestety sauna nie działała. Woda do picia i wyjście na basen mógłby być lepiej odznaczone bo nie są w ogóle. Śniadania to do wyboru szwedzki stół i na ciepło 5 gwiazdek tylko za profesjonalizm Aarona
Fantastic experience: The service is amazing. The people working in this hotel go above and beyond to make you comfortable. The lobby and rooms are very dark. It scares children.

Positive experience: Tge Hotel is notice, staffare excellent and very patient. My only criticism was the choral Christmas event in the foyer was so loud that it actually hurt my ears. I was only exposed to it for a very short time, but the poor people on reception had to sit there throughout! It cannot not be good for their hearing!!

Positive experience: Went to a conference but had issues parking in the car park beside hotel . Simply not enough spaces. A staff member directed me to park in a disabled spot! No thanks ... values matter

Fantastic experience: My recent stay at the Midlands Park Hotel was nothing short of delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel's welcoming atmosphere and the genuine warmth of the staff. The room was immaculate, well-appointed, and offered all the comforts one could wish for. Fantastic experience: My sister & I stayed one night n our way to Cashel so we could visit the Rock of Dunamase (which was fantastic). We got a room with a single and double bed. The room was large and very comfortable. I highly recommend their breakfast. They have the usual muffins, cereal and such but their baked goods were a step up and you could order hot food as well. They also had a ‘deal’ if you buy two breakfasts your parking is free. It was a win win. Highly recommend Midland’s Park Hotel!

Positive experience: Fabulous hotel! Attended a wedding here. It was fantastic, only small complaint, I wasn't fond of the steak for the main course, it was full of fat and not to my liking but other than that everything else was great rooms were super nice not sound proof though !
Fantastic experience: We had such an amazing Stay at Midlands Park Hotel, We had booked it for our anniversary and got the opportunity to stay in one of their beautiful suites. It was out of this world and we were treated to a lovely bottle of prosecco and chocolates on arrival. The staff in the bar and at breakfast were so helpful, friendly, and attentive. We had a beautiful 4 course meal in the Charter Bar, and We couldn't fault any part of it. We had such an amazing time, it was such a special way to celebrate our anniversary. I would reccomend the hotel 100%
Fantastic experience: One of the best hotels I've been to. Ideal for families and short getaways. Big, comfortable rooms, clean, excellent swimming pool, good food, pleasant staff. Delighted.
Fantastic experience: I loved this independent hotel. Stayed 3 nights in a spacious twin room with really comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and great layout. Breakfast choice was varied, high quality and my Irish breakfast was cooked to order. Couldn't fault it. Bean to cup coffee machine, pastries, yoghurt fruit juice, pancakes and every other thing for breakfast you could think of was available. The hotel is right in the middle of the town and you can park in the adjacent public carpark and the hotel will cover your parking charge by validating the ticket you pay with on exit so remember to take it to the hotel with you. Staff were lovely, chatty and helpful and we used the pool/spa facilities, the bar and room service and everyone we came into contact with was great. We stayed 3 days for a wedding and the hotel provided a quality event although I appreciate not everyone will experience that. We are planning to go back to see more of the locality and enjoy the Midlands Park Hotel again
Fantastic experience: It was good, but they should manage to provide parking.
Positive experience: Me and my partner recently stayed here the hotel itself was amazing we had previously stayed here 6 years ago and still talk about how amazing and hospitable the barman was back then I'm not sire whats changed since then the service this time was awful. We went for dinner both nights that we were there the first night our waitress was rude. We also waited nearly 40 minutes between starters and mains my partner also asked for condiments and we had to ask for them again 15 minutes after the first time as we still hadn't received them. Our waitress never came back near the table to ask if our food was okay or did we need more drinks we had to go to the bar ourselves to order a second drink. The second night was a little better but I think that was because they knew we were residents that night as we were using our dining package.

Fantastic experience: I stayed in the hotel for a family wedding and honestly it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. The hotel is fabulous. The entrance is beautiful. The bar was adequately staffed by kind and attentive workers. The room was clean, practical and spacious enough for me ( staying as a single occupant). The food at the wedding was delicious with good portion size. A lot of the breakfast is self service with plenty of choice, except for the hot food which you order once you reach your table. Overall experience, it is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic hotel with great service, comfortable rooms and is very family friendly. We really enjoyed staying and will definitely be back. I really appreciated the gluten free options, the welcome bag for my daughter - and the warm welcome at reception. The food is great and we had the best steak in Kelly’s steakhouse. Pool looked large and welcoming but we didn’t have to time use it. Very nice hotel in a quiet corner but right in the middle of the town. All the staff we met were so lovely, and it was very well run.

Fantastic experience: I was working on the grounds outside the bar area of the hotel. As soon as we arrived and was getting set up. A Staff member, I believe he was a manger was quickly out to greet us, and asked if we needed anything not to hesitate and let him knows I found all staff and guests were all very friendly and polite. Fantastic experience: We had a recent stay in this hotel. Whilst we had some issues, they were dealt with in an extremely professional and friendly manner. The food was gorgeous, view from the room was beautiful and the reception staff are a credit to the hotel. Negative experience: Me and my girlfriend stayed in this hotel, we had booked the couples deluxe room for one night. The room was lovely so after we had got settled we asked the lady on reception could you extend our stay in this room for us and she told us that is no problem and to please come back in the morning to pay for the room. I showed back up in the morning, and was told the couples deluxe was sold out even though it was promised to me the night before. That was an extreme let down, he offered me a regular room and I asked was it ready, he said yes it is ready for yous to move in to. Reluctantly I took the room, as we gathered all of our belongings and moved them over when we got to the room it hadn’t been cleaned and the beds weren’t ready or anything. We then went back down and he just told us “his system said it was ready” so there was nothing he could do and we had to move all our stuff from ANOTHER room to leave it in the reception. Then when we walked up to get our stuff the room was locked on us! So we had to walk BACK down again and back up. It was a complete mess and we were sent back and forth between rooms for absolutely no reason all because a lack of communication between the reception and house keeping. I am extremely disappointed because it has the opportunity to be an amazing hotel.

Negative experience: The service in the spa is totally appalling, done in a rush, not even colours to choose from and such an unprofessional finish of the gel polish, a waste of €30. Upon booking your staff in the spa should advise the customer of the lack of colours availability. Definitely not coming back again, as it's the second time.

Positive experience: Finally getting around to writing the review of my three night stay. Directed to multi story car park on the site where €1,200 worth of damage was caused to my car. Not enough CCTV to find out who did it & hotel refused to contribute to repair cost. Rooms fine, restaurant fine, car parking not so good. Small 'yard' beside hotel as well for parking, exceptionally tight and wouldn't have confidence in it. Stayed in a different hotel on my latest trip there.

Positive experience: Great night last night staff are great only thing that I felt was a bit off was we were going on a work night checking in the guy was amazing so nice and helpful we were at a work night I asked if we were on the the same floor the lady that was sitting next to him cut across him and said there is no changing rooms I never asked for a room change, if that lady was annoyed by a question that wasn’t directed at her time for her to change jobs, expensive enough to have a night away without that negativity but five stars for that nice guy Checked in at 245 on Saturday please have a word with the manager

Fantastic experience: Myself and Five friends went to a Christmas show and we stayed the night in this hotel. From booking to the night of the ABBA show and leaving the next day was a great experience. Nothing was a problem for the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Food, Show, B&B was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel for any occasion. I have stayed there on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. Staff were so helpful and so professional in every way. Easy to see they all love working in this hotel as they were all smiling and happy. Positive experience: Poor 3rd party rundown carpark next to hotel, dont give free parking just small discount to guests and no EV chargers! Room was small for a couples room and not a great layout and a bit tacky (only opinion someone eles might love it), altho was spotless I have to say! Sorry :( service was very slow when any issues came up altho staff were very freindly!

Positive experience: Family of 4- 2 adults and 2 children 4&2 booked this hotel for 1 day with their 4course dinner breakfast included room stay. 1. Convenient location - hotel situated just across the city scape which is convenient (super valu,Tesco,or any shops within 2 mins walk radius available) 2. Parking - External company managed Parking space is adjacent to the hotel, exit the hotel and walk to the next car park building (if car parking is not included in the pack it will be 16€ -ours was included) 3. Excellent food both dinner and breakfast(non oily hot food) continental are self service and excellent pan cake machine. Note:Dinner Steak is 8.50€ extra even if it’s included in the 4 course meal menu. Kids will have their own menu. Non alc beverage 6:50€ was dear. 4. Water station kept in each corridor to refill and use. Best thing happened? Vanessa at the dinning service,she was the best. Caring, showing respect and compassion to the workplace and to customers. Lost car parking card but Colum sorted it. Overall experience was mixed. Tummy felt good with the food but mind felt ok with a 4star rated being overlooked for certain basics cleanliness aspect.Would recommend the place.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in the midlands hotel twice and both times it was perfect rooms are modern and clean food: I had the steak both times and as good of a steak you would get in a top restaurant You can see it is a well run establishment staff seem happy and are very professional and prompt in the restaurant and make you feel so welcome at the same time. Negative experience: Car Park is a joke, ticket machine doesn't work and didnt work for the person in front of us in the queue either, and after having to walk up to reception from the far end of the car park around 11pm the night manager and staff hadn't the cop on to just open the barrier over the intercom after already putting us out but instead made us walk all the way up there to charge us also. As for the prices of the carpark a complete rip off! Wouldn't be back ever again to this place. Not a chance. They haven't a clue about customer service.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous hotel, I haven't actually stayed here so can't comment on the rooms. I've attended a few conferences here, the facilities are excellent. Service and food also amazing. Paid parking available beside the hotel in a multi story car park. (Maybe they have free parking if you book a room) Great spot overall.

Positive experience: Met some people here for a get together with dinner, Room was a bit dated, Meal was good tho player was not exactly overflowing with food, Service ok altho when the server was removing glasses they spilt custard on the table and no attempt to clean it up. Positive experience: Fabulous hotel. Service was amazing, all staff were great at their jobs. Beautiful hotel. The only issue was Sunday morning my partner and I went to pool for a swim and it was too busy with swimming lessons and parents watching through glass window. It wasn't very private and relaxing but hotel was top quality

Fantastic experience: Friendly helpful staff. If you're driving anything bigger than a car you will have to use the outdoor carpark which can be a bit tight especially if you have a long vehicle.

Fantastic experience: We had workshop in the hotel and the room was well occupied and the service and the staff were great. The WiFi connection is great. I stayed for a night as well. The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast have a variety of options. The swimming pool was great and clean (don’t forget your swim wear and swim hat).

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely Hotel, beautiful, have everything needed and more and the staff is wonderful, everyone so polite, helpful and kind, the Receptionists, the waitress/waiter and everybody else, at the Breakfast that is delicious and complete we were attended by a Brazilian waitress called Patricia, such a polite, serviceable and lovely girl. We went to a wedding there and everything was perfect! Also, my daughter loved the swimming pool. We recommend 100% and looking forward for another opportunity to come back!
