Hi Hannah, thank you very much for your rating and honest comments, we appreciate this and while I am glad you found our facility overall to be good, we would always aim for five stars and I'm disappointed we could only achieve three. I do accept that as we have been open for sixteen years and are a very busy facility, that there may be some signs of natural wear and tear. I want to assure you that we operate to a rigorous cleaning schedule in all areas daily. We are delighted to be extending and upgrading our gym facility within the next two years, but in the meantime, I will ensure your concerns are communicated to the team and any corrective action necessary is taken. Our pool management team are working very hard to rectify the issues with the pumps, these problems are not unusual and can be fixed, we understand this is frustrating for customers but I'm happy to say that the majority of our loyal customers are very understanding. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, we’re sorry to hear that you are so disappointed in our gym and feel that standards have disimproved since you were a member previously. Maintaining high standards of equipment and facilities is very important and while we accept there may be issues such as some of the pads on the pin loaded machines, we respectfully disagree however that our new equipment is of cheap or poor quality. Dear customer, thank you for your review. Our Jacuzzi closed a couple of days ago, due to an unexpected maintenance issue however the steam room should have been operational as normal my apologies. The health suite is closing fully next weekend to facilitate the sauna rebuild and will reopen in March. This is an unusual and rare occurrence, Reception would always inform customers if the closing time was approaching and I respectfully disagree that any customer is taken advantage of, regardless of their age. It’s possible that the pool closing time was changed after the customers entered and brought forward for maintenance purposes. Hi Roger, thank you for this feedback, even though it is negative, we still appreciate that you went to the bother of providing it. To address the fitness gym first, it is not true that equipment hasn't been upgraded since we opened in 2008 but it is true that some of what is there currently does need to be replaced and the order that we placed with our supplier earlier this year is finally due for delivery in the coming weeks. I hope that you will enjoy using the new equipment. We are also acutely aware that there are locks that need replacing in the changing village and can assure you that the work will be carried out as a matter of urgency. Dear customer, thank you for your review comments and I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I understand that your daughters may be capable swimmers, however due to their age they may not be unaccompanied at any time, regardless of their swimming ability. While we have lifeguards on duty at all times, as per the policy that we publish, which is based on Water Safety Ireland guidelines: The role of the lifeguard is to oversee the entire pool and everyone in it, rather than to provide individual supervision. Lifeguards cannot and should not, be expected to replace the care, responsibility and supervision of parents. I am pleased to know that our Lifeguards enforced this policy today. Response Hi Dean, thank you for all of this feedback, I’m very sorry to you and your family that your visit was so disappointing. The changing village is a difficult area to manage due to the inconsiderate behaviour of customers who repeatedly flaunt our regulations and leave their belongings wherever they please. The cubicle doors are due to be replaced shortly, I am sorry for this. Our group changing areas are also available and spot checks will need to be increased once again so that we can deal with the belongings that are being left in cubicles as this is strictly forbidden. Our health suite does not have a sauna this is true and we advertise this, it is due to be rebuilt and reopened in the coming months. Our steam room and jacuzzi are still available. Our prices are comparable to other leisure centres and we also offer reduced price and off-peak price swim times also so that our facilities are as accessible as possible to all. As a community facility we host swimming lessons to a number of local clubs, schools and groups as well as our own lessons and our pool timetable gives information on pool activities and what space is available, we recommend customers check out this information before visiting. What is very concerning are your comments made about our staff as we pride ourselves on customer service and rarely receive this feedback. I can assure you our full management team will be made aware and will address any issues. Hi Alex, thank you very much for your feedback. The Health Suite has been closed since late last year due to fire damage and we did post about it on Facebook, but on foot of your comments here I think its time to do another post, so thank you for the heads up. It is, as you have pointed out, stated on the website - under the paragraph 'Important Information' on our Pool page. Regarding the hairdryers, we reluctantly brought this measure in to curb the misuse of the hairdryers and to stop us having to repair and replace them as often as we were doing - in peak times, we were having to do this weekly believe it or not, at enormous cost. I'm very sorry if you feel the environment is run down, we are working hard to maintain optimum levels of service in challenging times with staff shortages and all cleaning and maintenance is carried out as per our standard operating procedures but if there are areas of The Watershed which you feel needs particular attention please do let me know. We do however, allow customers to ring in advance at weekends because it is so busy and pay for their session over the phone in advance, so that they know when get here they are guaranteed entry. Regarding our fitness gym, we have added approximately fifteen new pieces of cardio equipment within the last two years and will continue to add new equipment in the resistance area in 2021. I'm sorry that you found the layout of the gym to be messy. Earlier this year we reorganized the layout to increases the floor space for our resistance area which has actually been well received by our gym users, while also allowing disability access to our CV machines.
