The Ardilaun Leisure Club

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for almost a year and I’m delighted with not just facilities and classes available, but also the team of people who work there. Everyone is super nice and welcoming which makes the whole experience even better. Well done guys, especially Anna, who’s always there with a big smile and ready to assist.

Fantastic experience: This was always an OK club but lacking in some areas. In the past year, though, it's improved dramatically; wide range of classes, upgraded facilities, cleanliness, lots of new friendly faces. A 5* club in the making!

Fantastic experience: Very clean and well maintained swimming pool. Staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoys swimming lessons, you can see an improvement from week to week. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: The gym is too small for someone who want to take a monthly or yearly membership.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym now for almost a year. The best thing about it is the staff. Fran, Andrew and Anna (among others) are so friendly and warm. Fran's hiit classes and zumba classes are excellent , she puts in so much energy and is so enthusiastic day in, day out. Andrews spin classes are always brilliant and he always encourages his class participants who he remembers by name . Would definitely recommend this gym if you like to have a variety of classes and staff who always make you feel welcome.

Fantastic experience: I had Martin as my 1 to 1 Trainer, he is excellent, pushes you to your limits and beyond a master motivator. He is moving on from the Ardilaun due to external circumstances however, I am sure he will be back in Galway in the future.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed my trial swim. Arrived quite late, close to closing time, but staff were really nice and helpful. Had a relaxing swim. Really enjoyed my trial, despite leaving it so late in the day.

Negative experience: They want to charge regular price for the free trial !! I wonder why they call it a free trial ? Very disappointing and unhonest !

Fantastic experience: Lovely clean facilities, and nice staff. Pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steamroom. The pool was a bit cold but other than that it was perfect.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff. Just over twenty euro for two adults and two children. A hotel in Clifden wanted seventy euro for a visit pass even though I said we only wanted for one day. The station house, shame on you.

Positive experience: It is in a beautiful location, convenient for town and Salthill The hotel has a Leisure Club with gym, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and steamroom. Classes include Aquacise, low impact aerobics, spinning as well as yoga and pilayes

Positive experience: Good value for money. All machines ,pool, sauna steamroller and jacuzzi with classes for gym and fitness instructor. No time limit for over 60's.

Negative experience: My review is based on my personal use which is weightlifting and some cardio. Some of the machines and weights are not in good condition. 80% of the security locks for barbells are bent and not fit for use. Little variety of machines (one of each and lacking many types), prepare to wait if you during busy hours. This would be fine for a low cost gym but I am actually paying over 60 euro a month (paid a few months upfront). You can get way better value and quality in any other gym in Galway unless you don't have a choice due to distance, like me. The positives are that it is not busy in the mornings and they have punching bag. The experience may improve if you are attending classes, swimming pool, etc.
