Positive experience: We went for the Natural Stromgman tournament. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. They also had a nice cafe with a wide selection of fresh food. Great venue!

Negative experience: AVOID! It's not clean, staff are unfriendly and defensive when you complain. Just look at some of the dreadful responses to reviews on here! Gym floor very untidy and not clean and rarely any staff around. Machine seats ripped and many not working properly. Every bathroom has mould around sinks etc. Hairs in all showers, no soap, no moisturiser, no spinner for swim trunks. Lack of hooks in changing rooms. Over subscribed and used mainly by overseas students probably because they get a heavy discount. Booking system haphazard. Lockers not cleaned, swimming pool not clean with discoloured tiles and always foreign objects in water. Sauna and steam smell bad and neither hot enough. Disgrace for a university gym, go elsewhere, even Leisureland is better

Negative experience: The gym is a very unpleasant place. It’s very messy, and has no A/C or appropriate ventilation. The air feels unbreathable and whenever the temperature is slightly higher it’s just impossible to workout. They only have one fan and it’s stationed outside the main workout area for some reason. Edit: there was no AC on in the main gym area upstairs and when I asked the staff to turn it on they said there was no AC available

Fantastic experience: Lovely place easy to locate user friendly

Positive experience: Great sport complex and gym. It has a lot of training machines and weights/dumbbells, treadmills, etc. During the academic year, it could become very crowded in the mornings (before classes start) and after 5 pm (when classes end). Other issues are machines becoming out of order frequently and being repaired very slowly and not having some machines like chest fly, back fly or any decline benches.

Negative experience: 5 machines out of order in todays gym session And 2 being out of order for months nothing done about it Don’t waste your money

Positive experience: Good fitness and pool, don't forget your own lock and swimming cap. Also, you can't relax in sauna, since people are really loud

Negative experience: Prices have increased from €10 to €12 for pay as you to use the pool. No problem with that if the pool area was well maintained but there are a number of issues that havent been catered for such as; hooks missing from cubicles, doors difficult to lock; no complimentary shampoo in shower and bathrooms/flooring is always filty; some lockers broken. Just lacks care and attention. Why haven't these issues been brought to the attention of maintenance? Reflects poorly on management.

Negative experience: Very rude staff, you have to create an account which takes forever to create and no one explains to you how to do it right so I waisted 30 minutes to get to my class which I was looking forward to.

Negative experience: My son goes to swimming lessons on a Sunday. The pool is normally cold but today it was freezing. He got out of the pool 10 minutes into the lesson because he was so cold. I tried to give him a shower to warm him up & the supervisor informed me that they are having issues with the heat & there was no hot water in any of the showers. You could at least let customers know using social media or a notice in the reception area instead of wasting customers time. Poor service!

Positive experience: Hygeine could be better, epsecially in toilets, changing rooms and gym. Seems a bit run down. Pool is very well maintained however. It is satisfactory for a college gym

Negative experience: The worst summer camp my kids have ever attended. People, if your kids have additional needs, avoid this camp like the plague.

Negative experience: The gym and the swimming pool are okay but I wanted to go in on a day pass and just walk in but unfortunately I has to download an app and spend 20 minutes trying the create an account rather than just walking in and paying I had to jump though hoops they are losing so much business to leisure land because in leisure land you just walk in a pay if its a day pass its like they want to make it hard for customers and they had no music on in the gym and they had the heat on ridiculous going in to a gym in June and the heat is on

Negative experience: This place is starting to get bad quickly, very disappointed in how it is turning, Members like me now are effectively barred from swimming on Wednesday & now also FRIDAY, Why did I pay a years membership when I cant go swim when I want while the facility is open?? Also closing at 5pm on Saturday & Sunday isnt ideal, most places close at 6pm which is more realistic, poor form.

Negative experience: I’ve been using this gym for months now, and I’m typically not one to leave bad reviews, but the upkeep of the equipment here is horrendous. Signed on to do supplemental medical training here because there was a piece of equipment that fit well in my program. That piece has been broken for over four months, with no truthful indication of when it will be replaced. Save your money and go to a cheaper gym with more well-kept equipment like Planet.

Fantastic experience: I did Zumba with Clara Bosch it was amazing! She is a great teacher, her choreographies are so fun and engaging and they are perfect for all levels! Recommended!

Fantastic experience: I was here as a member of a basketball team playing in the Galway Masters Tournament. Great venue and a handy cafe on site, although it would be good to have the cafe open for longer hours during the tournament

Fantastic experience: Recently renewed my membership. There was some mistake with their billing and it didn't go through but I was still able to start my membership and even allowed to get the offered discount even though the offer would be over by the time the payment issue was fixed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very willing to show you how to use different machines. The only thing I would like to see is a female only weights room. There's plenty of space but it can be quite intimidating to walk in as a relative beginner into the weights area. Otherwise it's a wonderful experience. As long as I'm living close by I will continue to gym here. Easily the friendliest gym I've been too.

Negative experience: 8am on a Saturday morning and still not open after sitting outside for 40 minutes with my 2 boys, this has happened numerous times totally unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Visiting Kingfisher twice a week to go to sauna and steam room, swimming sometimes in the pool Pool area is been cleaned quite often and everything like showers, lockers, pump in sauna or steam room works properly, friendly helpful staff As a student I pay as I go 5 euros every time for pool or gym There are spots where u can fill up your bottle or cup with fresh water I recommend this place for visiting

Negative experience: This gym receives 2 stars due to the constant unavailability of machines and the age of the equipment. The gym has potential, but the workout experience is hindered by frequent out-of-service machines and old dumbbells. An upgrade in the facility's amenities is highly recommended to improve customer satisfaction.

Positive experience: Отличный тренажёрный зал - каждый найдёт себе по потребностям то, что нужно. Очень хороший бассейн - несколько дорожек. Но вот что касается сервиса - на троечку. Чисто не особенно, в раздевалках прохладно и влажно. Функции свои клуб выполняет на 100%, но если Вы привыкли к вычищенным Спа-зонам Рэдиссон - то Вам точно не сюда. Это место для спорта и здорового образа жизни.

Nice pool + sauna Plenty storage + changing spaces Fairly clean Cons: Can be extremely busy at times Some equipments need to be better maintained Only open at 7am, and only until 5pm on weekends. Overall: recommended and adequate for standard daily exercise.

Negative experience: I joined last month. Disappointing selection of gym equipment, machines are only increments of 10kg as the labels aren't on the +2.5kg bits. Hardly any space to use mats, unless you do it in the middle of a corridor. Still haven't had a chance to use the pool as I've been put off by how busy it is, always a few lanes taken up by teaching. Worth having a look around before getting a membership.

Squash Table tennis and big courts for basketball and other sports are catered for. Not to mention the swimming pool that is truly inspiring. Changing rooms and spaces well organised. Staff extremely helpful and nice.

Positive experience: Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für Studenten sehr gut 250€ pro Jahr. Zugang zum Gym, Sauna und Schwimmbad. Das Gym an und für sich ist eher enttäuschend, weil: -Equipment ziemlich alt -Defekte Geräte werden nicht repariert - Einige Geräte wie der Latzug funktionieren zwar generell sind aber sehr unangenehm in der Nutzung - Viele Geräte die zur Standardausstattung neuer Gyms gehören fehlen Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Fazit: Für den Preis okay, aber definitiv kein sehr gutes Gym.

Negative experience: Edit: downgraded to two stars because staff were rude to my guest. She arrived early for our workout and wanted to use the restroom, they told her to wait for me outside!! Their loss, since she is my work out buddy and was considering joining. Facilities are good, but the staff and service are a bit lacking. For example, this week (March 2022, a month post COVID restrictions being dropped nationally) I made a reservation to use the gym and tried to come in 23 minutes early. Despite the gym having plenty of capacity, the front desk worker made me wait 3 minutes outside the turnstile because they could only let people in 20 minutes before their reservation time. They don't have towel service or loaner locks for one time use, if you forget yours you have to buy one from them. The fitness studio has lots of great equipment, including weight machines, free weights, cardio equipment,TRX, loads of cable machines, etc. But the studio itself isn't very clean. Many of the machines are tacky to the touch and there are little piles of dander and dust. I've never seen an employee cleaning any of the equipment. Other gym members seem pretty nice, mostly students. Hoping for live fitness classes to be offered soon, and might raise my rating if that happens.

Positive experience: I take my kids swimming there. There is always overcrowding between swimming lessons. This could be avoided by offsetting the start time of each lesson by 10 minutes. Furthermore, I have seen personal belongings left in cubicles. The 'no kid no cubicle policy' is not enforced. I pointed this out at the front desk, but there is no improvement.

Positive experience: A very spacious complex where there is a swimming pool, gym and climbing hall. The staff are very welcoming. However, the price is still quite expensive even as a student and the changing rooms of the swimming pool are regularly dirty.

Negative experience: AVOID, I would give 0 stars if I could. I had signed my children up for swim lessons early 2020. I found the changing rooms to be disgusting and unclean. When covid hit, all lessons were canceled. they sent an email stating that my children had €60 credit each but could only use €20 per semester in an illegal and coercive attempt to guarantee themselves 3 more semesters of business. I advised that I had never any intention of renewing, and requested a refund, but they refused, which is a clear breach of my rights under consumer law. All attempts to escalate this beyond the emasculated branch manager are ignored. I have had to initiate a small claims proceeding in order to seek a refund that i am fully entitled to, and that I requested multiple times over the past year. They ignore all emails, and refuse to provide contact details for the small claims court proceeding. In short, once they take your money, they dont want anything to do with you and certainly dont believe in the consumer protection act.
