Platinum gym malahide

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Platinum Gyms for a year now, and I go most days. From day one, the staff have been absolutely gorgeous people — so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely supportive. They create an environment where you feel comfortable, even when you don’t know what you’re doing or you’re trying something new. You never feel judged or like an idiot, which is so important in a gym. On many occasions, staff members have come over to check in and ask if I needed a hand, which really shows how attentive and caring they are. I honestly want to commend all of the staff for the amazing job they do — it makes such a difference and keeps people coming back. That said, I’d especially like to thank one staff member in particular: Grace. She is truly one of a kind, and the gym would be lost without her. She’s one of those people who makes you feel comfortable the minute you walk through the door. I’ll never forget the first time I met her — she was so friendly and reassuring, and she made me feel completely okay about being new to the gym. That kind of kindness really sticks with you, and it deserves recognition. Platinum Gyms is an incredible place, and the staff — especially Grace — are a huge part of why it feels so welcoming.

Negative experience: I have been visiting this gym for the last 18 months. Thought of not to write this many times as it might sound like a typical racist incident but can’t help it as its pretty unbearable now. There is a lady with as a gym keeper or trainer whatever (I nerver saw her train anyone apart from laughing hard to please few folks). She never smiles to brown people like me which I am ok with and thought that’s normal. But then one day she came to me with an angry face and raging speed and asked me to use blue cloth for cleaning gym equipments while I had one beside me. She didn’t even care to ask whether I had one or not. Seemed like straight away assumed I don’t clean it because I am brown. All this while few other dudes were not even carrying the blue cloth with them. I am not going there again as she looks to me like I am gonna steal something from them. This is all about her , everyone else there seems to be cool and welcoming

Negative experience: I have been using this gym over the past 15 years and it has become unbearable for the following reasons. Music is too loud: The music is so loud in this place that I have to put my phone music at full volume to almost cancel out theirs. Even when I don’t have it at full volume my phone still gives me a warning that the volume is damaging my ears. Staff argue: I ask the staff to turn down the music volume multiple times and Grace says “say please” or simply doesn’t turn it down or turns it back up again later. Grace told me to get off of a machine before because she was showing someone around and argued when I said no (as if I’m not paying to use it). Showers are cold: The showers turn on freezing and after 2 minutes they become hot but become freezing again after a few minutes. Poor equipment: They had 2 cable machines which were always broken and now they only have 1 which is always being used. Worse people: I have to ask people how long they have left on machines now and some people act as if that’s rude. Someone told me they had 2 sets left and after 10 minutes I returned, they did a set and told me they had 2 left and acted as if I was a problem and said “do something about it” for a minute, as if I was meant to fight them or something. I never write reviews but Jesus Christ this place has become unbearable over the past year.

Fantastic experience: Went to join the gym today. Met the owner who was working at the time, very helpful and showed me around. I had a gift voucher that my wife never used from years ago. No issue what so ever, they honoured the voucher, no questions asked. First impressions are 5 star, great equipment and staff. Looking forward to getting in shape now.

Fully stacked equipment array and dedicated squat room. Indoor and outdoor set up. Super staff and great gym culture, clean and tidy. As a working world traveller, its one of my favourite gym spots. Loved it

Positive experience: Reasonable price, but because of that very very busy. Had to rethink my workout several times, due to the equipment I needed being taken. But good equipment and well maintained, and especially love the little outdoor area.

Fantastic experience: It's a gym. There is instructors you can consult. Threadmills, and weights, what else would you need? No pool, because it's in front of the sea.

Negative experience: Not very happy, some little boy gave me a hickey on my leg while i was hip thrusting 40lbs, my legs are broken now and i told the staff about it and they all ignored me despite my continuous crying

Fantastic experience: Amazing view over the bay as you workout . You can get a day pass . On the Platinum Gyms app . It’s near the centre of Malahide but on the coast road out of Malahide towards Howth in Dublin. You can walk or run there in 15 mins . Excellent equipment for muscle and cardio :

Negative experience: Great gym, unfortunately they didn’t honour a refund of membership when I became injured. Very disappointed as I always enjoyed using their gym.

Fantastic experience: Great system, lovely staff, all the equipment you need. What more could you want. Be back tomorrow

Fantastic experience: Platinum gym is the ideal personal training felicity if you are work focus with great work ethics friendly Atmosphere polite and helpful staff a large amount of gym equipment with to separate sections built-in, one for spinning classes and another section for weight-lifters reasonable fees and almost panoramic view of malahide and Howth coastline can't think of a more relaxing way to work out, we'll worth a visit

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. Staff are wonderful. Very polite and welcoming. Equipment is new and kept clean. Just expanded the workout area so even more space. Only thing I would like to see more of would be mirrors so you can watch your form while using the machines (not an issue with the free weight area)

Fantastic experience: Gym has a gorgeous view. Staff are great and you have a nice restaurant for post workout. You have all the machines you need, really. Now with COVID, they are limiting people and it feels safe to workout there for sure. The payment was really easy, through the app and can book sessions easily as well, I couldn't recommend them more, I loved the system pay as you go. Well done guys

Positive experience: A basic gym, great view, friendly staff, particularly Grace. It’s very good value for money. Good quality equipment. There’s an issue with men taking over the weights area and hogging the equipment. Unfortunately the gym isn’t large enough to comfortably facilitate this. Also, shower and changing facilities are very small and basic.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with a fantastic view on the coast ,it is a small enough gum but has plenty of equipment, a sauna and a studio for spin classes. The staff are always very friendly and willing to help with any queries.
