Fantastic experience: 5* service and accommodation from a 4* hotel. Would book again if ever in the area.
Positive experience: This is my second time bringing my 16 month old to the pool and once again after half hour we had to leave as pool was freezing after paying 24 euro for 2 adults and my toddler. I brought it to the receptions attention and was told it was 29° it defo did not feel it my child was shaking with the cold and would not settle. He loves the pool but was way to cold others there this morning with kids said the same. Googling pool temperature for baby pool states it should be 32° to 34°. Definitely would recommend higher temp in baby pool.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Depending on how you booked your room, there is a hot breakfast which you have in addition to the buffet or you pay extra for the hot breakfast. Definitely have a breakfast in the dining room whichever way you book your room. The hotel is modern and if you’re a tourist it lacks the charm of old Ireland, but the service makes up for it.
Fantastic experience: Food waste excellent, service was quick and efficient, with no long wait for your food. Atmosphere was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere convenient to have a meal!

Positive experience: Excellent stay. Only fault was pool was freezing. 3 kids still had great time but would definitely increase the pool temperature a big based on other pools we have been to lovely breakfast room service etc. Friendly staff.

Positive experience: Was a handy location.fornus for our travels, hotel is nice enough but rooms are a bit dated. Service was poor the night we arrived, It May have been bad timing as next day was much better. Food and swimming pool are nice and family friendly.

Positive experience: Good for value, pool and gym available. The rooms are big and pretty good. The location is good for the city just on the corner from the center. Food was good . The sad part is that u can see that it was a very good hotel when it was built but now you can see that for years nobody did any refurbishing and fixing ,over all is good place but will not go over 3 stars

Negative experience: Very disappointed in all aspects of our stay. The room was in need of repair as grout was missing on the bathroom floor and the shower hose leaked. Our experience of both dining and breakfast showed a lack of experience and teamwork.

Negative experience: Personally I don't know where to start, the rooms where spacious and spotless. Plenty of clean towels, tv was very limited, WiFi very slow but worked overall. The actual hotel itself was immaculate and really clean. The staff we felt had a major problem with people from the North of Ireland (not all the Staff though) or it come across that way. We left our room twice to be turned over as we spilled a cup of tea on the bed spread slightly and the sheets where never changed (this happened on the 1st evening) but it was just tidied up. (Cleaning staff where very polite in corridors though!!) Breakfast again was a great setup, just felt abit off hand with us unfortunately. We felt uncomfortable. Dinner the 1st night out main courses came with no sides and we had to ask did vegetables cone with it and 10 or so mins afterwards it finally arrived... For a 4*star hotel we felt it let it down abit. The girls on the front desk where the nicest people we spoke to the whole time we where there. Overall, nice hotel... Just a few things to double check.
Negative experience: Attended a wedding. Front bar was closed to residents and non residents and we were asked if we were residents and if so could we go to our rooms or if non residents were told that the bar had closed for the night and could we finish up our drinks and depart. This was at half 1 in the morning. The small man who seemed to be over the waiters and bar was very rude, when requesting a zero zero was told we don't serve that here you have to go to the other bar at the front yet other servers went and got the zero zero henniken, why couldn't he? The rest were all very obliging. And he seemed very jumpy couldn't stand still , continuously fidgeting which didn't sit well with the table we were sat on

Positive experience: Haven't stayed here as I live locally but I do use the pool most weekends with my son. Changing rooms are a mess and their solution to fixing them is a passive aggressive sign on the rotten door saying they know it's a state. I've been bringing him 5 months and the only change was the addition of the sign.

Positive experience: Beautiful modern rooms, comfortable furnishings and bed. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and the food was lovely, fresh and tasty. The service was excellent. Nice spot just out of claremorris town. Wifi was pretty slow and tv had limited channels hence the 4 stars. All the staff we met were very friendly. We will stay again when back in clarmorris.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Stay - Highly Recommended For Golden Years Group Our group had a truly enjoyable stay at the McWilliam Park. Negative experience: I had a pretty bad experience after staying recently. BIG warning to anyone with noise sensitivity. Walls were paper thin and I could hear every word of the other room's TV. Manager was polite and said to let them know if it continued so some marks for addressing this. But this level of noise is definitely not something I'd expect from a 4 star hotel. However, upon departure I realized I left my headphones in the room and rang the hotel. The first person that answered said they would call back and never did, I called back again today to be told that my headphones are not there despite providing an extremely accurate description of where they were left as both me and my partner remember leaving them in this exact location in the room. Awaiting another callback currently and will obviously update rating if this is addressed I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere locally as this was definitely a down point on our trip.

Positive experience: Went for Sunday lunch in the restaurant. €25 for two courses. The food was amazing Garlic mushrooms to start and featherblade beef for main. So delicious, best around bar none. Can also get a three course for €30, the deserts were also delicious - I sampled a few. Would definitely recommend the restaurant for Sunday lunch over the bar

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and friendly staff. Beautiful rooms - very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very near Knock - Ireland West Airport - 20 minutes drive away. There are gym facilities and a heated swimming pool.

Positive experience: Overall I found this hotel to be a pleasant place to stay in and it's in a very good location (within walking distance of the town of Claremorris. We found the rooms to be pleasant, clean and roomy. I felt there was a lack of staff on duty but those who were there were helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I just went there for quick bite to eat - I was tired & hungry I was served by a very pleasant young man My food was egg noodles with oriental (I think) sauce, veg & prawns & it was delicious Price usual one for good restaurants I also called to their leisure centre with a view to joining Two staff there were very pleasant & helpful I took away information & price list Looks very professional They have fully equipped gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, fitness studio, great range of classes, personalised fitness assessment & training programme And also there is an 18m heated indoor swimming pool & separate Children's pool Separately, swimming lessons are provided at an extra cost As far as I am aware they have great music nights at that hotel It is popular ❤ Teresa

Negative experience: Terrible service by the bar staff, very long waiting times. In fact two of the staff just walked past me without any interaction when I said "excuse me". Food is far from good. Rooms are OK, but they really need to do some work on how the staff is trained to look after their customers, because this place is a little too expensive to afford to have such a awful service.

Fantastic experience: Today , my family and I enjoyed a lunch , service was excellent ( by Leah ), she polite , informative and efficient and couldn’t but highly commend her . The food was fresh , piping hot and absolutely delicious … Normally I take or have photos , but we were so hungry I forgot to take them .. I had a traditional Irish dish , Boiled Bacon with white herb sauce , mashed potatoes and vegetables ( string beans & carrots ) it was divine .. Another party member , Had the Chicken wings as a main meal , came with salad and fries .. So much food we had to take some home … a great choice .. again scrumptious .. Third party member , had started of potato cakes and it came with salad and she had side order of sweet potato fries .. I suggest if your in Claremorris Co Mayo .. seek out the Hotel and have lunch ..

Positive experience: Used the hotel as a base between Ballinrobe and Knock. Ideal location if going to knock shrine or the Ballinrobe race meetings. Lovely large reception area, room was spotless. We ate in the bar food was good. We will definitely go back again ☺

Negative experience: Was at a communion last weekend wasnt every impressed at how cold the food was. Very dissapointing to say that it was a communion and had nothing for kids as to the previous week they had a dj to entertain the kids this particular weekend had nothing.

Negative experience: I was there for an event for a first holy communion and the meals we received were not hot the kids didn't eat there meals as they were also cold and bland I then had 2 guests and two kids that couldn't make it and when I ask for a refund for them they couldn't refund as it is there policy not to all in all I would not be having any further bookings with them and if I am asked about it il give them this information it's a disgrace having paid for good food and it's like that

Regarding the food quality and temperature, I completely disagree with your comments, as I was personally in the kitchen on that day and I know that all dishes were prepared to the highest standard and at the right temperature. The fantastic and positive feedback we received from the other 100+ people attending the Holy Communion lunch on the day is clear proof of this. Fantastic experience: I stayed here for several nights in May and I was delighted with the staff. From Sanja and Martina for their contagious laugh, always a welcoming smile and friendly chat no matter what time of the day. Positive experience: Cannot comment on room as only popped in for lunch. Well appointed accessibility parking. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 of the chef specials from waitress-she forgot to bring us the drinks although the restaurant was quiet. Had 2 turkey and ham dinners-they were average,wouldn't rush back and have it again.The 2nd waiter was more attentive and brought us the drinks we had asked for again after he had brought us the dinner.The place was very clean and there was another waiter who aided an elderly gentleman in getting up from his chair as he was having difficulty-nice to see that level of care for customers from staff.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here with family for 4 nights. We were over for a family funeral. The staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms were excellent and the breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. Negative experience: My granddaughter and her mother ate there last Tuesday as her 3vyear old child was hungry. Ordered a child's portion of pasta ,no sauce of any kind. Also a glass of mi wadi. She was charged 9 euro for the pasta and one euro for the mi wadi . This is beyond belief in a town like Claremorris and a recipe not to eat here again

Positive experience: Also known by the locals as The '' Park & Ride '' for reasons I will avoid explaining here on a social media platform, ask in town to the locals…. Nicely renovated, friendly atmosphere without pretentiousness, with lots of amenities, sauna, swimming pool, hot bath, etc, also spacious parking space, close to town and besides they organize live concerts and social dancing on social afternoon. Cons: restaurant menu should include a chessboard plate, please! Wine is too expensive, I advise better and cheaper selection of wines and include some Bordeaux or Côtes du Rhône and also, they should have dessert wines. I paid once €30 for a bottle of wine and the waitress did not ask me to taste it first, she just placed the bottle on the table and walk away, should I bring my own cork opener next time? Lol….more table manners and courtesy concerning wine tasting serving and hospitality.

Fantastic experience: The hotel was chosen for a hastily arranged lunch meeting between family members who were travelling from South Galway and North Mayo. We had not booked but the restaurant was large enough to accommodate us all comfortably. The 2 vegans in the party enjoyed the dishes they chose and the rest of us enjoyed the fish catch of the day- it was fresh and well prepared. Excellent parking . Easy access from the N17. Bathrooms high standard.

Fantastic experience: Modern hotel in a good location, only 15 mins drive from Knock. Rooms are clean and warm, the food is nice and the service is top notch. The swimming pool and free parking are very good too. Speedy check-in and check-out. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Just met my sister and Brother in law for a few coffees in McWilliam Park Hotel, didn't eat, but saw quite a few meals being served and all concurred that we would definitely return for a meal, the food looked fabulous. The staff could not be more professional, friendly and efficient, so all in all, a great visit. I will definitely return, but the next time it'll be for the night and a main meal. Negative experience: Not sure how stars are awarded in Ireland but 4 star varies wildly. This hotel is 3 star at a push. The staff are friendly. The leisure centre is severely dated, and filthy dirty. Handles close to falling off the doors. No screens in the gym which looks like a complete after thought. No lifeguards or water around the pool. Steam room out order. Sauna is tiny and the seating is all over the place. The pool is freezing cold. No shampoo dispensers in the showers. Towels are tiny. The rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet was one of the least appetizing things I’ve ever seen with a very poor selection and a weird layout.

Negative experience: I have never had a worse pizza in my life, don't eat there they don't know how to make basic food. The pool was great and the staff very friendly but I won't be wasting my money on lunch again.

Positive experience: Generally fine, food was surprisingly good though !! Upgrading a couple of stars after recent visit. Good service and the seafood chowder was so good that I asked for (and received) the chefs recipe, chicken wings also great. They also have a pool and a functional (not large but I've seen worse) gym.
