West Wood Club

Negative experience: Good gym and leisure facilities but way too busy lately. Almost impossible to get a bench or machine in the gym at peak, and forget about a seat in the sauna. Expected in a budget gym, not one of the most expensive gyms in the country.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff, facilities and the lovely instructors Gianluca, Fernando, Jessica and team… Suggestions… I just wish the Friday class Conquer and trip 10.45 am were not both at the same time… Because is very hard to choose which one to do… I love both. And hopefully we can have an ice bath near the sauna in the future…

Fantastic experience: Every time I walk into this gym, I have a positive experience. The state-of-the-art facilities are fantastic and the helpful staff create a welcoming and friendly environment— especially Laura, who always greets me with a warm smile.

Positive experience: I've been attending Pilates class on Wednesdays for a few weeks now and thoroughly enjoying it. The instructor Yveta is very good, gives options for each exercise which is great for a class with people of different ages and abilities so this class is suitable for everyone.

Negative experience: The club only provides 1 day pass for a guest. I don't think 1 day is enough for a person to actually get a sense of what the club offers especially if the person is interested joining because of the variety of classes the club offers. Also I had the experience where I brought a guest, the sale person never mentioned it was a day pass only and only provided a tour of the facility. The person came back with me thinking they could try classes now that the did the tour but it turned out the insurance only covers guests for 1 day, therefore the guest who only took a tour the first time could note experience any class. Could you not just extend the guest pass for 3 days asking the insurance to cover them for 3 days? Well that friend of mine won't join the club

Fantastic experience: Love this gym…such a great variety of classes and friendly instructors but have to give a special shout out to Iveta. She is so kind and friendly for the past 5 years I’ve been a member. She brings a very special positive energy to her classes which make them extra enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: I attend 2x Les Mills Strength Development classes each week with Iveta and she is a fab instructor! There is always a friendly, supportive, and fun atmosphere in her classes. She will help people with their form and cheer everyone on. Thanks Iveta for the motivation!

Fantastic experience: Have been a member for about 9 years. Love the classes especially Ivetas classes. She is so welcoming and is an excellent coach and always in good form, has a chat with everyone and is very good at explaining things.

Fantastic experience: Iveta is absolutely fantastic! She is so friendly and supportive. Ive really struggled with my fitness but I finally have a great routine that I stick to and am already seeing results!

Positive experience: Been going to this gym for years and it's definitely going downhill. For the price they are charging you might be better off elsewhere.

Negative experience: There are plenty of gyms like Westside in Blanchardstown, that are reasonably priced, variety of brand new machines and facilities, a proper section for women to train, very clean, and its a FRACTION of what you pay here. For the price you pay its horrific, the bathrooms aren’t kept clean and things like the taps feel as though they’re about to fall off. The women’s training section looks like a storage room with some treadmills and a rack of dumbbells. The day I joined, I asked someone if they could just quickly show me around, so I know what’s where, they couldn’t even be bothered. Absolute waste of money

Negative experience: FEELING SCAMMED I was offered a 4-day trial, and on the very first day, I was handed a card stating that if I signed up immediately, I’d save €475—since the regular joining fee was €600. It also said the price would increase on the following days. I felt pressured and caught off guard, with no time to properly consider the decision. I agreed and was taken into a room to finalize the membership. Before signing, I specifically asked if I could cancel and receive a refund if I changed my mind. At no point was I informed that the €125 joining fee was non-refundable. When I later called to cancel, I was told I’d need to give 60 days’ notice—even though I was previously told there was a 21-day cooling-off period. Now, I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. I will never trust this company again and intend to file a formal consumer complaint. EDIT(This apply for West Wood Club Westmanstown)

Negative experience: This in my opinion is a poor gym. They misinformed me about account freezes and i ended up paying for what I did not use. For a gym costing a bit more than others around the area, you would expect minimum customer service but the staff do not care one bit about leaving good impression or retaining customers. They just lost a customer today and will lose 5 others by the end of the month because I’ll make sure the rest of my family and friends stop their subscriptions.

Positive experience: Load rave music. Not enough machines. No supervision

Negative experience: Be careful before signing up the membership. My wife signed up for Gym membership however no sessions was attended since signing up but the charged €89. When requested for refund since we did not use the facility, they refused to do the refund which is very unprofessional. If she had attended at least 1 session it was okay for them to hold the amount but she did not attend any session. Be careful before signing up the membership.

Fantastic experience: I had my first assessment today, and the instructor Caoimhe was super helpful and friendly. So far, the gym has given me amazing impressions, and I feel very motivated to get fit for the summer.

Negative experience: i have never wrote a complaint before but today i feel like i just have to even if nothing comes of it. this place is so overpriced for how it’s ran, what led to to write this is that i was in the changing room getting ready to leave and i notice that somebody left a used pantyliner on the counter where the hair dryers were, absolutely disgusting, i stopped using the spa because i noticed that the jacuzzi has so much mould and clearly has never been deep cleaned. the women’s gym is almost always filthy everytime i go there, it is such an expensive gym you would expect the place to be spotless but no, it’s the complete opposite. the water taps are broken 90% of the time, i have been here for years and i stay here because i like how many facilities there is however i don’t understand how they plan on installing more facilities if they cant maintain cleanliness in the ones that are already there. this problem needs to be solved, hire more cleaners or something i don’t know, figure it out. charging people 100€ per person for a month and on top of that the entry fee is 50€ absolutely insane prices for how dirty this gym is. I think myself and many other members think this way.

Negative experience: We have been members of this club for over three years, primarily for our children’s swimming lessons. Unfortunately, I believe the facility is not well-managed, as things frequently do not operate as they should. Despite paying full membership fees, we only use the swimming pool, and even that experience is often disappointing. The pool temperature and the changing room temperatures are frequently too cold, which I have raised with management multiple times. However, they consistently dismiss my concerns, claiming the conditions are "normal." To make matters worse, today, January 26th, after our children’s swimming class, we discovered that the showers were cold and not working. This was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. Given the high membership fees, the quality of service is far below expectations. I cannot rate this club higher than 2 stars, as it fails to deliver the level of service we are paying for. Improvements are urgently needed.

Positive experience: Great gym, only feedback is there are never any 4kg dumbells and there is some mould in the showers

Negative experience: It's really impossible for me to write a bad review but this one I have no choice people who plan to join this place need to know this. Very very Unprofessional staff who do not assist customers. Especially the people in charge of memberships ,we were planning to do a trial day which i couldn't complete on my previous time to become a gym member and was met with rudeness and arrogant staff. He more or less told me to FO from the place creating a ridiculous scene in front of everyone around. After this happened i tried a nearby hotel leisure centre which to my surprise was really good i ended up booking there and saving €1000 so thanks for doing this or else i would have not been able to save money

Negative experience: Uneducated staff who do not assist customers. Especially the person in charge of memberships! I was planning to do a trial day to become a gym member and was met with disdain and rudeness. They did not allow me to do the trial and forcibly removed me from the gym, creating a ridiculous scene in front of everyone present! I’d rather pay for another gym and be treated better; after all, I’m paying for it!

Fantastic experience: I had an exclusive hire of the playcentre for 90mins last Sunday evening. I run a social group for kids with Down Syndrome & we wanted to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day together. From making the initial enquiries, to being invited to visit the centre for a tour before booking, Jennifer & her team were brilliant. We had an absolute ball. We'd 50+ kids in our group & they loved the place. There's such a variety of activities, there was something for everyone, regardless of abilities. The parents got to catchup over a cuppa in the cafe while the kids ran amok! Rounded off the evening with nuggets/sausages & chips for the kids & everyone went home with a party bag. Jennifer even laid on a birthday cake when she realised 1 of the kids was celebrating his birthday the following day! They really couldn't have done more. We'll definitely be back!

Climbing wall.Teniss courts different type of classes life as well. absolutely amaizing place. 100%Recomend it. Kept clean very well. Staff is very nice professional . They also have kids zone facilities where you can leave kids wile you training yourself. Personal training programs for your needs if you want . Love it

Fantastic experience: I have never joined a gym before so was a bit anxious. Kathy, a personal trainer devised a workout plan for me. She was lovely, professional and helpful. Orla went through it with me and explained the equipment. She was also very helpful and knowledgable. It's a really good gym, they have everything, excellent facilities and helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: Great place got a 4 days free pass. Womens side separate to mens. Brilliant facilities, 25 metre pool with salt water. Highly recommend this place. A little pricey for a membership but if you use it well worth it.

Fantastic experience: Why are the meat heads exempt from sanitizing their weights after use? And don't rerack their weights after use! Frustrating but I love this gym, shame noone policing the gym dont want to see it close again due to somone poor hygiene

I've been a member here for nearly 4 years and cannot recommend this place enough, dedicated trainers, lot of different classes available, gym equipment is in a perfect condition and constantly updated, pool is great as well. And as a mom I find the best - Kids Fit zone where I can leave my son there while training, such a brilliant idea!

Fantastic experience: Great facilities newly updated. Has everything you need from cardio, free weights, weight machines and mobility areas. Spa is clean and great place to relax after a workout. Pool is also nice to wind down in or for some extra cardio. Staff are helpful and overall a great gym.

There is plenty of space in Westmanstown even at peak times to do my workouts & the spa facilities are a lovely little treat after my workouts
