Fantastic experience: Hotel is in a very good location, easy access, lots of parking. Close to the very busy road but when you’re inside it’s very tranquil. Very warm welcome at the reception. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious, lots of storage room, very spacious bathroom. My only complaint, no towel racks, plenty of towels provided, but we just don’t like to waste them. And definitely there’s enough room to put a small fridge. We enjoyed our dinner at the bar, food great, service absolutely fantastic. Overall it’s an absolute gem in Cavan town with superb hospitality.

Positive experience: This is the best location to stay in Cavan - the staff, facilities, food is excellent. Rooms, bathroom and furnishings are spotless. Staff are wonderful and very attentive. Negative experience: I stayed in a room that had a small window. The room had some shortcomings — there was no hair dryer. In addition, at the hotel bar, I was served beer in a broken bottle twice in a row. Overall, it was quite a disappointing experience for me.

Fantastic experience: Stayed at the Cavan Crystal on a work trip and it was the best hotel experience I have had in Ireland, I cannot fault it. The staff were a standout for me, behind the reception desk, in the restaurant at dinner and breakfast, speaking to patrons and providing such a high level of service. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely return whenever I am in Cavan.

Fantastic experience: Myself and my wife stayed the night before a wedding, this is my 3rd time at the Cavan crystal. It really is a beautiful hotel and the food in the bar is really worth the stay and the breakfast is just as good. The rooms are comfy and very spacious and would even recommend just coming in for a drink and something to eat.

Positive experience: Came for dinner on the 21/8 we had no reservation so staff kindly seated us in the lobby which is nice. Food came out very quickly I got the salmon my partner got the slow roast. Salmon looked like it was freshly thawed and cooked that morning and reheated to order, slow roast was bland and underwhelming if im been completely honest. Very pricey for the quality of food served almost €70 for 2 mains a glass of wine and a Heineken zero. I've had meals and stayed here before and it was lovely however the last 3 times we've came for dinner here and the food has gone completely down hill esp for the price which is I why I feel compelled to give this review. Such a shame its a beautiful hotel and the staff are lovely however I feel this will be my last time dining here.

Positive experience: We found this hotel disappointing and not up to 4-star standards. It’s very dated throughout, with worn furnishings and vending machines on stair landings. Our room was far too hot, with no air conditioning and barely-opening windows. The pillows were uncomfortably hard. The leisure centre was clean and well-kept, but doesn’t open until 8 AM (9 on Sundays) and has no drinking water available. Breakfast was poor, especially the cold buffet and watery porridge — plus they charge €2 extra for an Americano. Dinner portions were excessively large but lacked flavour and presentation, with a poorly made crème brûlée. Overall, it felt overpriced for what it offers. Needs updating and better attention to comfort and food quality.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience at the Cavan Crystal Hotel over the weekend. We were booked in for a wedding and the rooms were excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good and again the service was top notch. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here for a family wedding, the hotel really looked after the bridal party, the rooms were made up beautifully and the meal for over 170 guests was amazing hot tasty and plenty of it, about the best meal I’ve even had at a wedding obviously the Hosts chose it. The rooms were lovely and clean and fresh, only complaint (minor) was the heat in them with no AC which the hotel staff explained was terrible to get fitted in Ireland, drinks prices were reasonable in these expensive times

Fantastic experience: Myself and my family went here for my relative's wedding over the weekend. And it was a life experience , I will never , ever forget We were up dancing Having the laugh. And lots more. We didn't stay because it was too expensive. So we stayed at another hotel. that was only 10 minutes away from here. It was absolutely brilliant.I will definitely be back to stay. Fantastic experience: Home from a two night stay at Cavan Crystal Hotel. We booked this hotel 6 hrs before check in having not given it much thought or analysis which made the surprise all the more fantastic when we arrived. Firstly, the ladies that checked us in on reception were super friendly and efficient, making us feel very welcome. We left the bags up to our room to come back down to the residence bar where we were spoiled by more excellent PM staff. It is here we met Eoin who made the next 48 hours of our weekend exceptional. Over the course of the weekend, Eoin reserved our preferred table for us both nights, he was quick with a deck of playing cards, he remembered our drinks orders all weekend and every little request we had from food, to TV or questions about the hotel, Eoin was able to satisfy them all. He is the kind of individual that every hotel and GM across the country should want and needs!! Though no man is an island and we must remark that all of the staff from the accommodation department through to the breakfast staff were fabulous. If you are looking for a hotel where you want to be wined and dined and where your needs will be attentively looked after, look no further than Cavan Crystal. - Stunning - Clean - Bright - modern - well-furnished - Warm - cozy - great food (Please note I meant to leave this review in January of this year, 2025 - Eoin, if you're reading this I hope you remember us. Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of attending my son's wedding at Cavan Crystal Hotel, and I can't say enough about how wonderful the experience was. The hotel has a lovely, bright, and airy room where the registry ceremony took place. The space was tastefully decorated with fresh flowers, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the special day. Our family of 14 people ate lunch in the bar. The table was dressed in white linen and we were served delicious food that truly exceeded our expectations. Every dish was full of flavour, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. The service was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed. Special credit and appreciation goes to Nobre who treated us royally and was the consummate host. The staff at Cavan Crystal Hotel were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived until we left, we felt well taken care of. Overall, the hotel offers great value for the exceptional quality of service and ambiance it provides. I highly recommend it for any special occasion, and I’m so glad we chose it for such an important event in our family’s life.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for over a week in October. The staff was exceptional. They were so accommodating to us, especially for me having special needs. Nobre and Siobhan (Nobre is a bartender and Siobhan is a manager) helped me out and were always pleasant to me and efficient. I also had other staff help me with my ice for a health problem. I needed it frozen every night and they helped me, not prying into the details of why I needed it other than it's for my health issue. And I look very healthy so sometimes people (at other places) aren't so helpful. I really loved the staff here and the great job they did in caring for us. They went above and beyond. The lobby of the hotel is elegant with nice lighting. The food that's served in the restaurant is delicious. The rooms are cozy. And there is laundry service, too. It's about 5 Euro per bag which is great for people like us who want to use our time in Ireland to not be doing laundry. The breakfasts there are amazing, a breakfast bar and you can order more from a menu (all included in our breakfast). Everything was top notch. I give it all 5 stars for sure. We had a great stay with the Cavan Crystal Hotel. And the staff was truly amazing. Some of the best service I've ever had. They do it with a kind word and a smile!

Fantastic experience: We spent a little more than a week here in mid October, and could not have found a more friendly hotel staff, tranquil settings, and comfortable accommodation. We were there with a large group of people from many parts of the world, and everything went perfectly. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, this hotel punched above its weight many times over. As this was the first ever visit to the beautiful country of Ireland for my wife and I, this visit to Cavan Crystal Hotel truly set the bar. Great service, always with a friendly smile, and great value. Many thanks to my pal Jamie at the front desk, I still owe him a pint.

Negative experience: Stopped off here while waiting for a full Irish breakfast while waiting for my daughter to do her driving test. So glad she failed .. I'm going back in a few weeks to the hotel to tuck in again. Bit of luck she'll fail again Absolutely 5 ⭐

Fantastic experience: Had an overnight stay recently whilst attending an event. Upon our arrival to this beautiful hotel, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionist and found the atmosphere within the large reception area to be so peaceful and ambient. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and very helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, with everything you would need for an overnight stay. The breakfast was delicious, would highly recommend trying their full Irish option. Would definitely recommend a stay and look forward to our next visit.

Negative experience: We came to the crystal to have a coffee and a scone while feeding our 8 month old child. Unfortunately we were told ‘food’ would not be served until 12 by the bar staff even though there was customers eating scones and drinking coffee around us

Fantastic experience: My family and friends took me away for a night to Cavan crystal hotel to celebrate my hen night. I was taken aback by the beautiful hotel in every sense from the moment of arrival. The hotel is beautiful, spotless and stylish throughout. The staff were so attentive and friendly especially deputy manager Irene who couldn’t do enough for us. The food was fabulous in the atrium bar and the glassworks restaurant. I cannot wait to return. We dealt with Jennifer from the start, she was amazing, always there to answer any questions. The decor throughout the hotel was fabulous. Food was outstanding, excellent portions. Kids loved the playground. Jennifer, Mícheál, Irene, Siobhán and all the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Fantastic experience: I stayed at the Crystal Hotel last week with my family and we had the most wonderful time. The family room is extremely spacious and the children enjoyed swimming twice whilst we were there. Food was beautiful and the chicken wings were the best I’ve ever had! Special mention must be said about Irene: nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her way to make our stay memorable. It’s friendly staff like her that will make us visit again in the not to distant future.

Rooms lovely clean and spacious. A group of 5 of us stayed there on Thursday 8th of August. We enjoyed out stay there very very much and hope to stay there again. Fantastic experience: I was driving a tour group (27 people) last week and we stayed here for 3 nights. I simply couldn’t fault the hotel. The premises, the rooms, the service, the staff, everything was top notch. After speaking with the group when we left, everyone else felt the same. WELL DONE CAVAN CRYSTAL HOTEL!

Negative experience: Can only comment on the food service in the Atrium Bar which was probably the worst I have experienced in any hospitality establishment. We arrived just after 1pm and ordered fairly quickly as there were no other tables waiting to order mains in the bar. First off the drinks order was wrong, not a big deal, just asked for a replacement to which the barman obliged. While we waited for our food 2 tables, who arrived after us, received their food. I enquired with the waiter and was told "2 minutes", a further 2 tables again received food and a 2nd enquiry was met with another dismissive "2 minutes" response. When yet another table received food a 3rd enquiry was met with the ridiculous response that the kitchen had sandwiches to make, for orders placed well after ours. After a 40 minute wait for 2 non-existent chicken burgers and yet more tables being served I went to the bar to pay for the drinks and leave only to be met with a further ridiculous suggestion of taking the now miraculously prepared burgers for take away. If you want food in the area the Slieve Russell Hotel is 20 minutes drive away and far superior.

Fantastic experience: Just home from a wonderful stay in the Cavan Crystal. 10/10 guys. Really enjoyed our time here. The restaurant, omg amazing. The best steak I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection. And not to mention the brownie for dessert. Fab . We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic experience: Cavan Crystal Hotel is a lovely place. Beautiful and bright reception area with very friendly and helpful staff. The leisure facilities were excellent and again staff very friendly and helpful. Had a great chat with some folk. Dinner was lovely my fish and chips were great, my wife's roast beef was good (more vegetables would have been good). Breakfast was excellent great choice of cereals, fruit and pastries. Cooked breakfast you ordered of the menu, my wife had the full Irish breakfast, I had American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, Beautiful light and fluffy. Loads of parking and very easy to find.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in room 210 from the 22nd-24th of July-check in was fantastic, friendly, fast and helpful. The manager Michael greeted us At reception-he is a brilliant asset to the hotel-he never passes without a hello. We have done many staycations over the past few years and this hotel has been very different to others-all staff members are amazing from the bar staff to the cleaning staff full of smiles and can’t do enough for you-food in the bar is delicious and well priced, all parts of the hotel are spotless, it’s been our first visit but certainly won’t be our last-thank you so much
