Fantastic experience: Southside BJJ is a special place. My son has gone here now for 3 years and it has built his confidence and self belief up so much allowing him to grow in other aspects of life. It's a truly special club that is like another family to him. He runs in the door every single time as he cannot wait to get on the mats with his friends and coaches. Head coach Aaron puts incredible time into it all and it shows the minute you walk in the door. I can't recommend it enough to anyone.

Fantastic experience: This review is from someone who hates fighting and have never done any type of martial arts before: I started my jiu jitsu journey in South Side Jiu Jitsu Academy three months ago and I can say that it was one of the best decisions that I have made in 2023. Professor Aaron is super professional and very patient - he is always available to go through the techniques and explain every single detail as many times as you need. Everyone was very welcoming since day one and I have always felt part of the team. There is a very friendly and respectful environment, everyone is there to support and learn from each other. The only issue is that you can get addicted to jiu jitsu. Highly recommended.

Everyone that trains here make sure you feel like part of the team right from the get go, which, If you're like me and are a bit nervous about getting started, does wonders for putting your mind at ease. Fantastic experience: My son was very shy and nervous when we first join the club but Aaron and other coaches helped him grow over the last few years. Not only he has learnt Jujitsu, discipline, made many new friends but also gained confidence and the opportunity to compete, which I would have never expected at the start. Aaron and the coaches invest alot of time in the kids and teach them all equally regardless their age or skill. I feel my son has learnt many things but also changed his attitude in a positive way at home, I would definitely recommend anyone to try out this club, best decision we ever made.

I was debating for years which gym to join and with a bit of persuasion from a friend I went down to south side, really good atmosphere and all the team are very welcoming and always giving some great advice for any new people that come down, my only regret is I didn’t come down sooner !!

Fantastic experience: My son joined BJJ early last year with Aaron, the standard of coaching is second to none and more importantly it's fun learning!. He has already earned (through hard work and alot discipline may I add) his Grey/White belt plus 1 stripe. He loves going, so much so, his little sister wanted to see what was so great about it, and low and behold, we now have a mini Rhonda Rousey on our hands at just 5yrs old!!! Aaron is without a doubt a great influence on the childern and instills disipline and repect which is also evident at home! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. From the coaches, parents and the adults class, we feel part of a very special family!

Fantastic experience: I moved to the area late last year and joined up in Jan 2019. First and foremost, the coaches and the lads there are great. Most people will be anxious about joining a new club or training for the first time but they really foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. There are no egos and everyone is there to help each other. Secondly, the coaching and training is great. If you've been putting off giving it a go, do it asap. You won't regret it.
