Fantastic experience: I was back in Limerick on holidays from Germany for 2 weeks and the instructors were kind enough to allow me to train with them during my stay. I attended a number of sessions and found the instruction to be consistently extremely high quality. The instructors were very friendly and professional. The classes were well organized, fun, educational, challenging and also I could see that the culture in the club was very respectful and safety conscious. The club members I met were also really nice and there was a warm and easy going atmosphere while the training was still serious. I recommend anyone in the Munster area who is interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to train here.

Negative experience: My two boys went there for 2 month, we even went to ennis to see championship, to show our kids this atmosphere , but one of the coaches sims to be not enough qualified or don’t have enough empathy to train kids. He didn’t involve our boys during the training, they started to play with each other, to do some techniques by themselves , he doesn’t like it and several times he tried to describe that there’re something off about our boys. We were forced to stop training and it seemed to us that the coach presented his incompetence as a problem with our children instead of interacting them to process. «It left a bad taste in my mouth» and it was stressful period for those two months, other two coaches women and her partner on weekends were better. I see that there are only good reviews, but anyway I shared my experience as it was stressed for me as parent.

Fantastic experience: My six year old son has been going for three months. He really likes it and is learning things too. The instructors are great with kids and mix technical instruction, sparring and play to great effect. The ratio of instructors to kids is very good and allows them to pay plenty of individual attention, especially during the more physical and technical activities.

I saw this first hand when he came to and all the Brazilian used to love to train with him due to his quality and technique. We’re very lucky to have some of Fergal’s calibre in Ireland, let alone Limerick. Fergal’s JiuJitsu is outstanding and he is a lovely guy to boot!

Fantastic experience: Limerick BJJ is the most welcoming gym I've ever been in! The mats are always full of people, happy to share technique and roll with everyone! Classes are timely and structured well! It's rare you can walk into a gym as a blue belt and get your sparring with brown belts and black belts. There really is no ego to be found in there! After 2 years in Limerick BJJ my technique is better and I've made lifelong friends! 100% recommend as the go to place for BJJ!!

El mat donde se entrena se mantiene limpio y sin olor , tienen un estándar de limpieza alto , lo cual realmente se agradece y valora y ahora los mas importante . el bjj Tienen excelentes profesores y coaches , que tienen una metodología súper buena de enseñanza, inculcan los valores de un arte marcial como la disciplina, respeto, compañerismo y esfuerzo. Yo llegué a esta academia de visita , y me recibieron con los brazos abiertos para entrenar y enseñarme , aprendí mucho durante el tiempo que estuve ahí, hay una manera de que te reciben con una bienvenida súper cálida y respetuosa, en los entrenamientos eres un compañero y rival , no un enemigo y eso se ve en todos los niveles , recomiendo totalmente esta academia tanto para principiantes y como avanzados , sin duda es muy buen lugar con un muy buen equipo.

Fantastic experience: I stopped by to train here while traveling through Limerick, based on solid recommendations from Irish mates in Christchurch, NZ, who said this was a world class gym. And they were right on!! The instruction was excellent, a series on passing de la Riva guard, with very clear instructions and multiple opportunities to practice as we learned a few different passing techniques. Also the vibe was very welcoming -- everyone was super friendly. I wish I could stay and train longer! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I’m studying abroad in Limerick, so I looked for a bjj gym to continue my training, and this academy opened their arms and everyone is so welcoming. They have a variety of courses from beginner to advanced - both excellent to learn fundamentals of self-defense and jiu jitsu. I recommend this place to anyone either passing through or living in Limerick.
