Fantastic experience: An Epic trip. Superbly organised with a great crew. Thoroughly recommend anyone looking for a challenge to contact Martin. He couldn’t do enough for everyone. 5 star event.
Fantastic experience: Raid Pyrenees 2024, excellent trip. Really well organised, from food, transport, roadside support and hotels. Will definitely go with Martin again.
Fantastic experience: Had a great group Tri session with Martin. Helped on the mental side of racing and giving individual on form in cycling and running in one session. I was much more confident and relaxed going into my next race and it paid off.
Fantastic experience: Yet again Martin came up with the goods. Having travelled to the Pyrenees last year we decided to do the Alps with Martin this year. Everything from the transport of our Bikes and gear to the transportation from the airport to the hotel and all the accommodation was spot on. Martin’s attention to detail is superb and he left us to do the cycling without having to concern ourselves about anything else. I’d recommend Martin’s trips to anyone that just wants to get on with their cycling and not have to worry about anything else. 10/10
Fantastic experience: I’ve just completed cycling Geneva to Nice in a trip organised by Martin. This is challenging but it is so worthwhile. The support from Martin, logistically and psychologically during the trip was first class. All I had to do was ride my bike. It was my second trip with Martin. Last year I did the Pyrenees. Both trips have been wonderful experiences . Martin has every detail sorted to make this work well for everyone in the group,. I have no hesitation in recommending him. I cannot overstate how great an adventure it is!
Fantastic experience: A 5 STAR TRIP FROM START TO FINISH. BIKE'S DELIVERED FULLY ASSEMBLED AT THE START HOTEL WAS A SURE SIGN THAT THIS WAS A WELL PLANNED TRIP THE BEST ROADS FOR CYCLING THAT I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. EVERYTHING WAS IN PLACE FROM DAY ONE TO MAKE SURE ALL THE RIDERS WERE PREPARED FROM THE ROUTE MAPS TO THE SUPPORT ON THE ROADS , THE ROADSIDE BBQ'S (BURGERS , CHICKEN BURGER'S ) LITERALLY ON THE SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN. "AMAZING". WATER, COCA COLA JAFFA CAKE'S, COFFEE WERE ALL ON OFFER AT EACH PIT STOP. THE ACCOMODATION EACH NIGHT WAS EXCELLENT. THE EVENING MEALS AND BREAKFASTS WERE LOCAL FARE AND WENT DOWN REALLY WELL WITH EVERYONE. IT'S A TOUGH FEW DAY'S IN THE SADDLE BUT WORTH EVERY PEDAL STROKE TO GET TO SEE THE VIEWS AT EACH MOUNTAIN TOP. IT'S EASY TO SEE WHY THE TOUR RETURNS TO THE ALPS YEAR AFTER YEAR. THANKS AGAIN MARTIN FOR A MEMORABLE ADVENTURE AND I HOPE TO GO ON MANY MORE IN THE FUTURE
Fantastic experience: I signed up with Martin when I decided to do an Ironman. I had only completed my first Sprint triathlon a couple of months previous and needed some guidance for this event. I could not recommend Martin more... his knowledge, patience, and advice is second to none. He made time to explain everything in detail when I had a question, and created a plan tailored to me that not only got me to the finish line in Copenhagen, but I did it in a time I didn't think was possible. Thanks so much for everything Martin :)
Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Martin enough! Martin got me from not being able to run over 10km without constant injury, to completing my first Ironman within 9 months of me getting in touch with him. Having only completed a Sprint Triathlon prior to signing up with Martin, he guided me through the right preparation I needed for the big event. He provided plenty of positivity over the nine months, and his encouragement was greatly appreciated. He made sure we had nutrition for the day down, provided small yet vital tactics which made a huge difference on the day, and also made sure we had all the right gear to cover all scenarios. Most importantly, he provided me with the perfect balance of training leading up to the event, which got me to the start line injury free, and over the finish line in a time I would never have originally imagined! Thanks Martin!
Fantastic experience: I have been training with Martin for over two years. I got it into my head during the summer of 2013 that I would like to run the Dublin marathon. I decided that with such a big challenge that I would seek some outside help. (This coming from someone who ran a couple of keep fit miles weekly). I had heard about Martin from a few people and got in contact with him. I met with him , had a chat and then procrastinated. Martin is not at all pushy and waited for me to come back to him when I was ready. When I eventually got my act together Martin provided me with a individual, tailored training plan. I found that I was running less (time wise) than before but each session was a quality session. I achieved my goal of a sub four hour marathon thanks to Martin. Martin takes the junk miles out of training. I am a mother of two with a full time job so getting out to train at all is a feat in itself. I couldn't give up Martin's training after the marathon as each session was a quality session. I could see improvements in my general fitness and my running and enjoyed every minute. Martin has great time for all his clients and I feel that my achievements, though small, (pbs etc), are equally important to him as those of his elite athletes. Martin doesn't do the work for you, but he takes the thinking out of training. I no longer question whether I should do this run or that cycle. I trust the training that Martin sets and my bike and run times are testiment that it works. I can't recommend Focus on Fitness highly enough.

Fantastic experience: If you are committed to being better, healthier, faster, running a marathon, completing any physically challenging event, whatever your goal is, you need to get the most out of what you put in to be satisfied. We all have limited time whether its work, kids..... etc Training with Martin and completing the prescribed sets is time well spent in my book. I commit, Martin commits and there is no gap. I've improved gradually over 4 years to become a relatively good standard of triathlete and the approach has stayed the same. The program is tailored for each individual and the sets defined. The program and sets are bang on, the improvements are obvious, I would highly recommend Martin.
