Fantastic experience: My daughter and I trained with Phil and we both benefited from, and enjoyed, the sessions. He took time to understand our requirements and was helpful, flexible and professional. Phil made it easy for us to stayed focused and motivated throughout!
Fantastic experience: 4 weeks since beginning my work with Phil, I can say firmly that Phil knows his stuff inside out but that's not what makes him a great trainer. It's knowing how to relay and impart knowledge upon his clients. Not easy but simple, Phil's ethos is all about compliance and actually doing it. If like me, you don't know where to begin and you need someone to show you the way, Phil is your man. A gentleman and a Class A Trainer. (For the record, Phil doesn't ask his clients to review him. He's actually just this good.)
Fantastic experience: If you want to learn how to stay consistent in the gym and break the cycle of sporadic exercise regimes that don't yield lasting results, I highly recommend signing up to Phil's Comprehensive Coaching Program. I was so impressed with Phil's professional and clear approach. After the Program, I have a completely different mindset around exercise as Phil helped me to identify why I could not stay consistent and how to overcome my "barriers" to consistency and achieve real results. I now find myself looking forward to each early morning gym session, instead of fighting a losing battle to keep consistent. I know that signing up to the Program has been a solid investment in my future health and wellbeing.
Fantastic experience: I signed up for Phil's Comprehensive Coaching Program as I exercise regularly but didn't have much knowledge of what to do in the gym. Phil was incredibly helpful during our session, showing me the correct way to perform movements and taking videos of me completing them so I could reference later. He also talked through the best way to approach my training program, starting by building consistency in the gym and not overloading/over-complicating my training. He created a plan for me to follow to get myself started, and has helped me to refine this plan as my training has continued. Phil talked through aspects of nutrition and training with me as well, which was very appreciated and helpful. He's also has scheduled follow up consultations and is always happy to answer questions via texts, emails and calls as and when I have them. Could not recommend his services enough. Thanks Phil!

Fantastic experience: My wife bought me the Comprehensive Coaching Programme with Phil. Initially I thought I wouldn't get a huge amount of value out of it since I exercise regularly. However, Phil carries out an intensive consultancy process to make sure you get the most out of the programme. It's not just about exercise, it's also about nutrition and managing your lifestyle. The exercise session was great, Phil improved my form on exercises I've been doing for years. Then he coached me around the importance of taking control of my diet. Since then I've been on a brilliant journey of education and action that I wouldn't have carried out without Phil. He's a great coach and a good guy, I would highly recommend him no matter what your fitness or nutritional needs.

Fantastic experience: I've worked with Phil since early May this year. From the start he instills a level of confidence to achieve personal goals. He is highly knowledgeable and the way he maps out the weekly sessions reflect this. Phil is also a great motivator, he wants you to succeed, he charts your progress, he is full of encouragement and, for me, I look forward to continuing our sessions well in to the future .

Fantastic experience: I started training with Dan at PDPT in May 2023 in advance of my wedding. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Dan used his fantastic expertise to plan workouts that were both challenging and tailored to my goals. He provided excellent nutritional guidance despite me making it difficult for him at times with my food choices! Fantastic experience: I started training with Ash over a year ago and I can’t recommend her enough. I have always struggled with my weight but Ash keeps me motivated and holds me accountable, which is what I need and so far I have lost 17kg! Her passion and knowledge shines through and has helped me change my lifestyle, improve my techniques and keep my nutrition on track to achieve the best results. I always look forward to my sessions with Ash. I suffer from IBD and Ash is very supportive of my condition, she understands that some days my body isn’t able for much and she will adjust my training plan accordingly. She encourages me to keep going, even when I feel like my mind and body wants to give up. Ash will always go above and beyond to help her clients.

Fantastic experience: I have been in many gyms over the years, usually did my intro session and carried on for a few weeks before losing interest because of my complete inexperience and lack of know-how. I’ve watched Youtube videos and downloaded training apps but they never really worked. When I reached out to PDPT initially, it was to learn some strength and conditioning techniques, how to lift weights safely and effectively, good nutritional practices etc. What I got in return was far more than that. The whole team at PDPT were so welcoming and friendly that I immediately felt at ease from day 1. I started training with Paul, who not only taught and helped me perfect my technique with different weights and equipment, but also actively encouraged and motivated me throughout sessions and beyond. I found myself looking forward to my sessions, not only was I getting a good workout in and learning more and more everytime, but I was also having fun while doing it. I really enjoyed our chats in between sets. And who would’ve thought that lifting a heavy barbell, at 7am, could be such a laugh? The sessions were obviously tough, but Paul had them tailored specifically for me which gave me more confidence in what I was doing, and ultimately got me the best results possible. I feel so much better and can see a big difference in my physique. I really have to thank Paul for all his help. His knowledge and skills are so impressive, and his passion for his work and life in general is inspiring. I feel stronger, healthier and way more confident in myself and in my fitness journey now going forward. I have really benefitted from my time in PDPT. It has had a huge positive impact on my life. From the training to the chats and laughs with the whole team, it has been an amazing 1.5 years. I cannot recommend them enough!! Fantastic experience: I had such a positive experience training with Ash! As someone who was already training at home, I was in a bit of a rut but was not feeling confident enough to go into a gym. Ash taught me proper form and how to lift with a barbell, as well as guiding me on nutrition and the importance of sleep and recovery. Through our time together I’ve implemented better habits and have taken my new skills with me to my new gym. The service at PDPT is really stellar, I’ve recommended it to friends and think it would suit anyone at any stage of their fitness journey.
Fantastic experience: Since starting my training with Phil at PDPT I have improved hugely over the past 6 months. His attention to detail and analysis of my stats was fantastic. He takes every session as if it’s your first with total professionalism and enthusiasm. Now I have a much better understanding of the gym, how to structure training sessions, nutrition, a good sleeping schedule and much more that all can have majors affects to your training sessions. Fantastic experience: I have just finished up 20 sessions with Ash at PD Personal Training and I could not rate the experience more highly. I was returning to the gym after a long break due to a back injury. I was initially nervous and under confident but am now back to 3 sessions per week! Fantastic experience: I have just completed over one year of training with Paul at Phil Donnelly Personal Training. To say I have learned a lot would be an understatement. From not having any proper level of strength and conditioning i am now stronger that I have ever been. My posture has also improved. The most important benefit for me is that I am now confident that I can use of different weights and lifts safely. Paul's continual emphasis on using the correct technique in every exercise has been a huge help to me in building confidence in the gym. His constant encouragement and positive reinforcement has been key to getting me to where I needed to be. The variety involved in the sessions has also been great. Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend the guys at Phil Donnelly enough, I trained with Dave for just over 10 weeks. After taking a long break from training I found myself lacking the confidence to return to a commercial gym..Dave really helped me find my feet again .They have a great set up and operate a very welcoming and easy going environment. I'd highly recommend to anyone who needs that initial push to get started. You wont regret it!
Fantastic experience: Phil has open my eyes to better living and a fun healthy way of living, When I went into Phil to ask about getting personal training he asked me one question, why did I want to change? When I answered that question it made this Journey seem very attainable. I lost over 10kg in 10 weeks and still eating very well and not on some crazy diet. I also now have the confidence to use gym equipment in the correct way without damaging or hurting myself. I would highly recommend anybody who needs help with kickstarting are continuing their journey whether it be weight loss ,muscle gain ect Phil Donnelly PT is the place to go hands down.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely 5 star experience from everyone in PDPT! I've been working with Paul for the past year, and it has been one of the best decisions and investments I've ever made. Coming from having a very low level of fitness and lack of confidence in any kind of work out environment, Paul has worked with me to get to a place where I feel so much more confident in myself and in knowing what I'm doing in a gym. Paul always worked with me and there was never any pressure to do anything I was unsure of, just lots of support , reassurance and patience. Paul was also always happy to answer any questions I had on anything from nutrition to getting more activity into the day. It was also great fun and I never felt out of place or judged, which was my experience of gyms in the past. I have recommended PDPT to so many people I know and I'll continue to recommend because you couldn't find a nicer or more supportive atmosphere to improve your fitness, no matter what stage you're at.
Fantastic experience: Honestly, signing up with PD Training was the best decision of 2021 and the beginning of my fitness journey. I started working with Paul, who helped me successfully change my behavior & attitude towards workouts and nutrition. I have worked with different PTs in other gyms before but never got any results and struggled to keep up with ‘one size fits all’ workouts. But Paul did a fantastic job of keeping me motivated and engaged by listening to me and creating a personalized plan, considering my previous injuries and my personality. During each session Paul is always attentive, encouraging and patient. I love that I can ask Paul questions, which is so important to me, as I, like some, get very anxious in the gym and with the gym equipment. I could not recommend highly enough Paul, Phil and the rest of the team, especially if you are looking for a professional and friendly team to help you kick start your fitness journey and to achieve your goals.
Fantastic experience: I couldn't recommend Phil, Paul and the entire team at PDPT highly enough. I started with them in Oct 21 after quite a long period out of the gym. They bring a genuine interest and passion in helping you succeed and reach your fitness goals. They show you how to execute moves correctly and how to progress properly up through different weight levels so you can bring that to your own workouts in the gym. They are constantly checking in with you on the different aspects of your journey - food, recovery, task tracking etc. I have arthritis in both knees and they adapted a plan to help me build muscle and strengthen my legs while avoiding the usual flare ups I would have previously experienced. A genuinely fantastic & professional personal training service!!

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t recommend Paul, Phil and the PDPT team more. After starting with Paul in preparation for my wedding last August, I immediately felt I was in the best hands with the best PT to get the results I wanted. I never once dreaded going to a session, it’s the friendliest place in the world and you come out feeling strong and uplifted. I’m taking the training wheels off for a few months without Paul, but he’s given me the tools and program I need to succeed. But I’ll be back!! Thanks Paul, Phil, Ash and team ♥️
Fantastic experience: I’ve just finished a wonderful two years with Phil. I started as I really needed some accountability and more structure/knowledge to my workouts. I started just before the first lockdown which could have been a disaster but Phil did live workouts regularly- just one indication of Phil’s commitment to his clients. He is so knowledgeable and really eager to share his knowledge and the “why”s of the workout. Phil has so many systems in place for success- between the tailored workouts, the home training platform, the task tracker and so on. Previously I would have ignored all barbells in the gym but nowIt’s the first time that I have felt comfortable that I can walk into the gym and know exactly what I’m doing! I’m lifting heavier than I ever have before. The studio is spacious and clean with any equipment necessary. All the PDPT team are really warm and kind creating an absolutely gorgeous workout space.
Fantastic experience: Having previously trained regularly in commercial gyms, I came to Phil after a period of inactivity. Initially, I intended to train with him for a short period to get me back into a training routine. A year later and I am still training with him and have not returned to a regular gym. He is 100% reliable, always engaged and all training sessions are clearly well thought through and client specific. The atmosphere that Phil (along with Paul & Ash) has created is welcoming and enjoyable while at the same time focussed on hard work and client development.

I love that the service offered is very tailored to your own individual goals and that the coaching focuses on self-improvement as opposed to being 'good' or 'bad'. I signed up due to a referral from a friend and am delighted that I did. I just a number of weeks I am feeling a lot stronger, hitting personal bests and starting to see physical results. For me, this PT stands out as it really is about finding what works best for the individual and it is not a one-size fits all approach.

Very committed and dedicated, never runs out of ideas or new techniques. Constantly checking that you are doing your weights correctly. Fantastic experience: I honestly cannot recommend Phil highly enough as personal trainer. He is an absolute professional who is always happy to listen to any concerns and always offers great honest and realistic advice. His philosophy, knowledge, training sessions and endless support will leave you more than capable in the gym by yourself. If the gym isn’t your comfort zone he will very rapidly make you feel at home - it’s really because of him I’m so confident in the gym. Phil has exceptionally high standards in how he operates and runs his business and it really shows in every aspect of his work. A great motivator with the best attitude and just an all round legend!
Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Phil highly enough as a personal trainer. I joined with him over a year ago as a means to prevent recurrent muscle injuries and to supplement my own football training sessions. My own, self-directed gym sessions were not doing anything for results but since joining him my rate of injury has decreased to almost nothing which I put down to his sessions and nutritional advice. He ensures sessions are challenging, but fun. Despite being closed during lockdown, he continued to stay in touch, providing online classes and kept me motivated. He is also exceptionally organized so when turning up for sessions, I don’t have to worry about anything!
