Fantastic experience: I have been attending the All about You, Weight Loss Clinic, and working with Rose Shinnick since January 2024. I needed to lose a significant amount of weight to be eligible for a hip replacement surgery, and up until then, I was unsuccessful at tying on my own to lose weight. I have tried Weight Watchers and Slimming World over the years, but I always returned to my bad habits and unhelpful behaviours with food. By November of 2024, I had lost 3 and a half stone, and I got my hip replacement surgery. I would never have achieved this weight loss or the surgery without Rose’s, support, guidance, knowledge and empathy. All About You, Weight Loss, is exactly what it says. My experience with Rose, has literally changed my life! I am still attending the clinic, and working on losing more weight, with Rose’s help. We will decide together on what my goal weight will be. Rose has helped me form a healthy relationship with food, and im learning how to create better habits and choices with food. I would say to anyone who is struggling to lose weight or who doesn’t know where to start or who to turn to, contact Rose, she is patient, understanding and non judgmental. She is there to help. I am so thankful I did!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Rose. I have learned how to loose weight and still enjoy my life. I have gained a great relationship with food and I know my limits. Rose is very understanding and tries to accommodate each week with your diet eg if you have a social event. I have gained a lot of confidence during my weight loss and Rose has played a massive part in this. Rose is very encouraging and I enjoy my time with her each week.
Fantastic experience: Words cannot express how highly I recommend Rose's weight loss program. After years of fad diets and yo-yo weight loss/gain I took that step to take accountability and employ the services of a clinically trained nutritionist. Rose carried out a 1.5hr initial consultation to really get to know what my diet was like, habits/routine etc in order to come up with a plan that was tailored to suit me. Rose has been such a great support these last 8 weeks and at just shy of 2 stone weight loss so far, I have never felt so good. My blood pressure has returned to normal and I am so much more fit and active. I have two weeks left on the plan, and at the start I thought once the plan finishes I will go it alone, however, I fully intend on sticking with Rose for the duration of my weight loss journey; as I am not finished yet. If you are struggling with your weight and would like someone who is kind, considerate, an expert in clinical weight loss, who never judges you and someone who gives great encouragement/advice, look no further than Rose!
Fantastic experience: I am delighted to recommend Rose Shinnick's 'All About You Weight Loss' service in Cork as I went from a size 22 to size 10. Rose enhanced my knowledge of nutrition and increased my awareness of my good and bad eating habits. Through Rose monitoring my weight loss goals by using a food diary and weekly weigh-ins and by giving me guidance and encouragement and advising me to take accountability for my diet, has enabled me to stay on track and motivated me to maintain a good long term healthy eating lifestyle.
Fantastic experience: I started with Rose in September 2023. She has guided me as I have lost weight. To date, I have lost 31lbs. Her friendly and knowledgeable approach has helped me get to where I am. Rose is always there to give advice and encouragement. Fantastic experience: I had put up weight during last winter and was feeling quite uncomfortable and not at all feeling good about myself I was usualy well below my correct weight and kept rigid diet and exercise regime. I located Rose Shinnick through internet search She was a great positive person who advised me really well The initial interview was about one and half hour It was detailed but informative. Rose explained all the food groups,calorie count and the importance of portion size. The way she explained it to me left me in no doubt that I needed to check up megatime I asked her on one visit if eating lots of protein like red meat and chicken mattered but her statement to me was "too much food is too much food" I have to say it has stayed with me. Great advice and I am so happy I was 11st 2 Ibs at 1st weigh in Now I am 9st 4 Ibs I am 66 years and retired,and I told Rose that I wanted to still live the good life and diet but still have my few drinks and eat out occasionally Rose was very pro this, but she advised me on to juggle both and it is working. Also I am having 2 monthly visits to Rose post my 10 weeks course I feel that checking in with Rose keeps me in tow I also reccomend the protein"guilt free" snacks that can be bought at her clinic They are delicious and you can have them posted to your home too It couldn't be easier Rose is always at the end of a text for any query So I would strongly reccomend continuing 2-3monthly follow ups It keeps you focused and you always have that expertise advise at hand Moira
Fantastic experience: Rose Shinnick At the age of 75 I’ve probably tried every diet there is! The grapefruit diet, intermittent fasting, Atkins, keto, low-carb and the wonderfully named wine-lovers’ diet are just a few. They all work for a bit, but over the years the weight just comes right back and settles around my middle. I was shocked to see I had put on two stones and six pounds since my wedding day in 1975. As you get older it’s harder to lose weight because you’re not quite as agile and various aches and pains make running, walking and going to the gym a bit of a chore. When my weight reached 13 stone 9 lbs I decided that something serious had to be done. This time I asked my GP to recommend a nutritionist which led me to Rose Shinnick who works in Bishopstown, Cork. Rose herself is a sylph-like Size Zero who still follows a similar eating plan so she’s a good role model. After she weighed me and made a note of my height, she asked me what I wanted to achieve. Funny as it may seem, being thin wasn’t a priority. My dodgy knee that has hardly any cartilege left in it was the main problem and my orthopaedic consultant advised taking off a few pounds. I wanted to lose a stone at least, be able to run after my grand-daughters, play golf without pain, clamber on and off our boat and tuck my T shirt into the waistband of my jeans. Something about Rose’s relaxed attitude made me feel confident that we could do this together. But first I needed to accept that there are no quick fixes. This was going to take the full 10 weeks of my new course at a rough average of two pounds a week. “Life is for living,” Rose counselled. “Enjoy yourself if you have friends around or you’re going out”. Gosh! Permission to have the odd glass of wine and a juicy steak was an alien concept for a serial dieter. Have half a steak, says Rose and I find it’s enough. After a bit of a binge, have a couple of days on fish, chicken, yoghourt and lots of water. Rose presented me with a little pink hard-backed notebook in which I was to record faithfully and honestly, every bite I take, even the occasional crisp or sly piece of chocolate. You need this to see for yourself what’s causing the problem. Steak and other red meat take longer to digest and pass through your system so it’s probably not a good idea to eat it the night before a weigh-in. Rose talked me through a wide range of foods and gave me some reading material. She also tried to get a picture of my week and what challenges I faced – travel for example – and how to circumnavigate the hurdles. Every week I sent her photos of the pages of my food diary plus one of my feet on the scales. The next day we would discuss where I need to concentrate my efforts. She takes notes and sends me a rough menu guide for the week. So here we are at the end of 10 weeks and this morning my scales told me I am now 12 stone and 8 lbs. I have lost exactly one stone and one pound. It’s not without sacrifices - I now only drink alcohol at the weekends and in moderation - and clearly you have to pay a reasonable fee but it’s worth every penny in my book. This time I’m determined not going to let the weight creep on again. I’ll never be skinny and I don’t care, but I now know I can lose the excess blubber if I take it slowly. Fantastic experience: I started working with Rose on 1/07/22. 1 am delighted to report that I am now 3stone and 1 lb lighter today! I still have weight to lose to be at the weight I want. I got to hear about Rose through word of mouth and that made me feel very at ease. What I like most about Rose's approach is that she recognises that life goes on while eating healthily. For example if I had a special occasion coming up we would talk through the week before that event planning food options so that I could go and enjoy the event. I also like the food plan suggestions which use ordinary everyday food for all the family and leftovers are factored in this is real life!)
Fantastic experience: I contacted Rose in early 2022. I had put on almost a stone during Covid. I had two events coming up including my sons first communion. My clothes were not fitting comfortably and I could not stop indulging in sweet treats. I found Rose very personable and lovely to deal with. She is very encouraging but you are held accountable. I checked in with Rose every week for almost 3 months and had exceeded my weight loss target. I still check in with Rose at least once a month and contact her if I'm on a 'slippery slope' and she always gets me back on track. I do fluctuate up and down from my ideal weight by about 2 to 3lbs but I am overall achieving my ideal weight. Rose is a gem, very genuine and always a pleasure to speak with. I highly recommend Rose.
