Fantastic experience: I tried the pelvic floor chair at the clinic, having not fully restored bladder control since having 2 babies. I used it for 5 weeks, it was so easy - just sit there ! I saw immediate results; I stopped waking at night to go to the bathroom, which in turn gave me a great nights sleep. With a busy summer I didn’t do any after care exercises and control after a few months was not as good as it was initially. I will get intermittent “top ups” from the chair from now on, but to get the most from it, I’ve learned I need to keep maintaining the muscles by doing simple pelvic floor exercises everyday. The chair is a great way to see fast improvement and get a huge head start into pelvic floor strengthening.

Negative experience: I recently had an invasive procedure at the clinic and considered the hygiene very poor! No hand washing Also the appointment system is very unorganised .

Fantastic experience: I suffered a fracture to my ankle with associated ligament injuries at the end of March 2020, just after Ireland entered it's Covid-19 lock-down. The lock-down prevented me from safely attending APC Physio in person, but I started an online (Zoom-based) consultation series with Stephen Gilmore at APC Physiotherapy. I was keen to try to get back to work as quickly as reasonably possible as I work on the front-line of Ireland's Covid-19 response. Stephen gave me clear directions that were very easy to follow over the Zoom sessions, enabling him to diagnose more precisely the nature of the injury, the progress I was making and then coaching me through appropriate exercises to do between sessions. I had no trouble understanding the directions Stephen gave and I could feel the improvements week-to-week. I would have no hesitation whatever in recommending online physiotherapy sessions with Stephen and APC Physio and I'm glad that APC Physio was recommended to me when I was looking.

Fantastic experience: I attended APC Physio and Sports Clinic, working with Stephen, on recovery from surgery for a broken and dislocated ankle and ligament damage. Stephen patiently and diligently worked with me to regain mobility and confidence. He challenged and encouraged me in equal measure and provided and adapted a tailored exercise regime for me. Fantastic experience: After a couple of years of being in pain , and attending many different treatments in a different area due to work commitments, my mother booked me in to APC physio to see Stephen with my knee problem. I was blown away from the start with his attention to detail and his dedication to ensure that I get back to full activities. My knee holding me back, many people were saying to get an MRI, but that showed up nothing. Stephen put together an extended rehab plan that I follow meticulously. Fantastic experience: I attended APC Physio because of chronic headaches brought on by tension in my neck, shoulders and cranial floor that were affecting my ability to enjoy my regular lifestyle. People thought I was exaggerating the pain this was causing but Patrick was very kind in ensuring I wasn’t going insane. Patrick worked manipulation and needling therapy’s over the course of 5 months, giving me exercises and stretches that I can do from home and in the gym, and regained my confidence in being able to perform regular day to day activities. He has given huge amounts of advice on what to do and what not to do, from driving, sitting positions at work, posture in gym work and self-manipulation techniques to help me overcome this pain and tension becoming self-sufficient. Catherine was also so helpful for booking and changing appointments, and assisting with receipts for health insurance. I couldn’t recommend Patrick and all at APC highly enough!!

Fantastic experience: I did a stint of physiotherapy with Craig. I needed physio after clavicle surgery. While I'll never have 100% full mobility back, Craig was fantasic to go to. Knowledgeable, patient and a decent personality too. In the past I went to APC for beginners pilates. Which was very good too. All the staff are very welcoming there.

Although it was hard going initially I soon started to feel the benefits from the treatment and the exercise program I received. Not only did they resolve my issues but they helped me recognise that early intervention can prevent injuries from deteriorating, so now if I feel any sign of discomfort I refer back to my exercises to alleviate same and it really works!

Fantastic experience: As a coach for J18 men in Fermoy Rowing Club, I reached out to Patrick in relation to helping our athletes with increased flexibility and mobility right through the posterior chain. From the start, we found the program offered by Patrick and delivered by Criag produced massive improvement over the eight week block not just from a physical aspect but also from an educational one. Our athletes were highly impressed by the course content that prevented injuries and helped develop core strength. Fantastic experience: I developed plantar fasciitis in the middle of 2023. Despite trying different treatments, nothing I did provided any relief. If anything it got worst. Towards the end of 2023 I knew I need to seek professional help. I met with Craig and after a quick assessment he came up with a treatment plan which included a number of physio sessions along with home exercises. Thankfully, I’m finally on the road to recovery and would highly recommend Craig and all the staff at APC.

Fantastic experience: Stephen is incredible, full stop. I'm 32, fairly regular gym goer for the last decade and my knee started acting up in late November. I still don't know what caused it, but it quickly got to the point that climbing stairs was a challenge. I went to APC in mid December, Stephen checked it out and gave me an exercise plan to build up strength in it. Within 2 weeks, I was back to normal, the next session at APC confirmed it was sorted, and Stephen insisted on giving me an exercise plan for the future that will keep my knee right. Fantastic experience: Having torn my calf while dancing , there was no doubt as to who I was going to attend for physio! Pa was brilliant! Thoroughly professional and listened attentively to how I was coping with my injury and where I wanted to get to. Fantastic experience: Having been in charge of the Fermoy Senior footballers the last couple of years, we built a strong relationship with APC Physio to look after multiple squads in terms of player rehab and recovery over the past two seasons. This enabled full oversight of each player in terms of their assessments, exercise plans and progress. We could also avail of their service on match days which meant we had no issue sourcing physios for our games. All the above was valuable with regard to player welfare and safe return to play. The service is excellent, and the physiotherapists are all professional, effective, good communicators, sympathetic and very personable! I would highly recommend APC Physio.

Fantastic experience: For almost a year I struggled with shoulder and back injuries after a fall which meant I was pretty much out of doing running and swimming. After visiting a number of specialists in that time I saw very little progress. After meeting and chatting with Pat he made out a clear plan and set goals along the way. He left no stone unturned and didn't just focus on the problem area and found other places that would be causing issues. I am now back running and swimming on a regular basis. My only regret was not going to APC sooner.

Fantastic experience: Great classes always and the trainers are professional and good fun. I started pilates in May doing 1 class a week. As a result, I feel better both physically and mentally, and notice changes in my strength, flexibility, and posture, still have a way to go though. Really helped me with my neck and back issues, would recommend joining APC, and the classes are flexible, when I couldn’t make my usual class they arranged a different class for me.

Fantastic experience: After surgery from a broken humerus, I attended Craig at the APC Physio & Sports Clinic. I had very little mobility and was in a lot of pain in my arm. After an initial assessment, Craig was positive he could help me. I did a number of rehabilitation sessions with him, received excellent advice and a rehab program that I could do at home. It was not long before the strength and range of movement to my arm improved and I was pain free and I was able to return to normal activity. I highly recommend APC Physio & Sports Clinic.

Fantastic experience: I began treatment back in the beginning of September 2022 . I had difficulty walking , sore hip , glute and leg and was limping and was feeling very sorry for myself ! Driving was a challenge .Patrick assured me that he would sort me ,but it would take time and effort on my part too . I was given loads of exercises to try and strengthen my leg . Walking up stairs or any incline was a painful challenge. I got a steroid injection in my hip which helped to reduce some of the pain . Sleeping was difficult as the leg seemed to act up at night . By degrees I started to improve and my leg was getting stronger . Patrick worked hard on my leg and hip area and also did some needling . I used the hip flexor machine to try and build up strength. With each week at Luke’s Pilates I found I was able to do a little more on that weak right side . I found myself getting frustrated as I like to walk and hike , but couldn’t manage the hills at all . Also I was putting more weight on due to inactivity. Then around Christmas things started to improve more and around the end of January I found I was enjoying walking again and flying up and downstairs. I felt I had my life back being able to do things I enjoyed without effort or pain . Patrick did a needling session on my lower back area about beginning of February and the following week I was on skis and thrilled with myself . I Havnt looked back since . It’s so wonderful to just get up and do activities without pain and dread , I’m really enjoying golf again and I’ve done 2 Hill walks in the last week , very slow and easy but I so appreciated being out on the hills again. I find myself stronger each week at Stevens Pilates class .I am very grateful to Patrick for getting me mobile again . He explains very clearly what seems to be the cause of the problem and how important it is for me to do all the strengthening exercises he gives . The videos patrick did during treatment sessions of the exercises were very helpful for use at home . We are so lucky to have Patrick and his team in Fermoy . Thank you .

Fantastic experience: After having a disc removed from my neck and previous shoulder surgery I was in agony between muscle pain and nerve pain when I first attended Steven Gilmore at APC Physio. After having attended other physios and a Pain Management Consultant I thought I was stuck with this pain for life until I met Steven. I was waiting for MRI results when I first attended APC and without seeing the results Steven was able to diagnose what was wrong and made out a plan and that along with a small bit of dry needling started working very quickly. Steven told me that he hoped it should take between 5 or 6 visits and true to his word I attended APC 6 times. Within a month of attending APC I was able to come off nerve pain medication. I'm now pain free thanks to Steven. I'm now back to work after nearly two years off. I thought I would at best get back to work and have to work in an office for the rest of my time as my job is quiet physical but thanks to Steven I'm back to work in full capacity. I'm back playing badminton which I hadn't been able to play in 6yrs. I would highly recommend Steven Gilmore and APC Physio Fermoy. Catherine at APC is amazing also great to check in with you to see how your getting on and very efficient. Thanks Steven and APC Fermoy I will be forever Greatfull.

Fantastic experience: APC Physio and Sports Clinic totally changed my life. Online teaching and crammed archival work had taken its toll on my body, and I relied on paracetamol to relieve daily back and shoulder pain. They have an excellent team of physiotherapists. Luke was very professional and identified the weaknesses in my body at the first appointment. He provided me with exercises to help strengthen my muscles. Every week I felt my body become stronger as my pain decreased. I no longer rely on paracetamol for muscle pain. I wouldn’t go anywhere else; they are the best.

Fantastic experience: Pat was excellent in identifying the source of my shoulder injury which at had stopped me from swimming & just about everything else. He worked me through a focused recovery program to bring back my full movement range, eased pain with dry needling, then to gradually and safely increase the power I could apply. (Which was only at 40% of my left shoulder when measured) I had injured it skiing 2 years before and was constantly minding it always aware of it and in mild to severe discomfort impacting my sleep. Now I am back to full training with BTC. Gladly not even aware of my shoulder now. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I took my son to see Patrick with a knee injury. He put us on the right track with a great exercise program. All his advice was spot on and most importantly, easy for an 11 year old to understand and practice by himself. Thankfully he is back to full fitness and enjoying all his sporting activities again.

Fantastic experience: I was in an absolute heap physically when I first attended APC Physio. Limited mobility, migraine, neck and back pain the lot..Going for a walk hurt. Getting out of bed hurt. Driving hurt. Standing hurt. I was shuffling around the place in a lot of pain and feeling low. Luke Gibbons was amazing , he listened carefully and came up with a very targeted plan. I felt an improvement from the first session and was given very simple exercises to do at home so that I could start helping myself. I am now completely pain free and very active....I feel like a new person. During my sessions I was also very aware that Luke wanted me moving forward in my treatment and at a stage where I could mostly manage my condition myself. This gave me great hope as at one stage early on I felt that I would be in physio for the rest of my life. The only thing Im sorry about is that I put up with pain for so long and didn't go in for treatment sooner! So thanks a million Luke for all the hard work in getting me up and moving and swimming and dancing and running .I am evening thinking about going back horse riding .
