Welcome to the Irish Yoga Association (IYA) located in Tullamore, a vibrant hub where avid yoga practitioners and teachers come together. Established in 1978, the IYA is dedicated to promoting the transformative practice of yoga across Ireland and beyond. Our community consists of students, teachers, and tutors who share a passion for exploring the depths of yoga in its many forms, from Hatha Yoga to advanced meditation techniques.

The Association offers a comprehensive Teacher Training Course designed for those aspiring to deepen their practice while earning a qualification recognized throughout Europe. With a focus on the classical texts of yoga, our curriculum integrates both traditional and modern methodologies, allowing students to connect deeply with their practice. The next four-year course commences in January 2026, ensuring our future teachers are well-equipped to guide others on their yoga journey.

Furthermore, the IYA organizes various workshops and events aimed at enriching the yoga experience for practitioners at all levels. From engaging in Viniyoga and Vedic chanting to exploring the principles of personal development and self-integration, there’s a program tailored for everyone.
