Positive experience: Great location and quiet place and good transport to centre! But the room we had (351) was old, shower not fine, matrass not super. You hear a lot in the corridor, doors with a bang and toilets etc. Also rust spots in bath etc. This is years 60. The service is super and complaints are handled well. But an improvement in the rooms is necessarry.

Fantastic experience: Dun Laoghaire is my go to spot when over for the rugby as excellent links to the Aviva and bonus of the sea. Third time staying at the Royal Marine.once again excellent service. Staff friendly and helpful and nice that after a few days here they recognise you and chat. Highlight this trip was how well they dealt with some issues I had. First morning shower tray wasn't draining well so up to my ankles in water. Fixed as soon as I reported it. Then on my third night my brother's hotel booking fell through (different hotel) and they were able to reconfigure my room from a king bed to twins in under 30min. So brother was not left without a bed for a night on a very busy night in Dublin! I will not blame the hotel for the lack of sleep due to his snoring! There is some noise from functions on weekend nights but to be expected in this type of hotel and when windows are open for hot weather.

Positive experience: Lovely location, buses aren't great in the area especially the no.7. Gym was pretty sad and not very safe looking. I wasn't allowed in the pool without a swimming cap on! But my hair was tied up and men were allowed in without caps on...specifically booked this hotel for the facilities. The area is just gorgeous

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed a day spa deal today and had a truly wonderful experience. The area was beautiful, the swimming pool was lovely, and the relaxation section was simply amazing. Overall, everything felt peaceful and rejuvenating. A special thank you to Abbey, my massage therapist—she was excellent. The head massage, in particular, was absolute heaven. ❤️ Unfortunately, the experience at reception was a little disappointing. When I arrived and inquired about the type of massage included in my package, I was told, “I don’t do massages,” which felt a bit unhelpful. Later, when I returned to check in for my scheduled massage at 12:30, I asked about it at 12:27 and was told, “It’s not 12:30 yet,” which came across as unnecessarily abrupt. Despite this, the rest of the day was lovely, and I truly appreciated the quality of the treatments and the peaceful setting. Thank you!

Positive experience: We stayed last Sunday at short notice,they only had a few rooms left but were very accommodating. We had dinner in the bar and we both had the same meal my wife's was excellent but mine was cold so had to be sent back, as this took some time to come back the experience was lost but the staff could not have been more apologetic and handled the situation perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and then a good walk along the pier before checking out. All in all a good experience would definitely stay again.

Positive experience: The Royale Marine Hotel looks overall great from the outside, but for a 4 star hotel and the prices it charges, it leaves much to be desired. For starters, the rooms need soundproofing. My husband and I could hear both the TV from our neighbours, their conversations in detail, and even their toilet trips. In the bathroom, the shower valves were coming off the wall, and so were some electric outlets in the bedroom. The bathtub was chipped and the shower pressure was non-existent. At reception, we asked about the spa amenities and we were sent on a wild goose chase, going from person to person until we reached a third reception inside the spa itself where they told us that everything was booked, and that we had essentially wasted our time. We could still use the pool, hydro tub, and saunas, but that was another disappointing experience. When we went, we were given towels and told to change, but later we got told off for not wearing swimming caps... which no one had mentioned or cared to give us and, mind you, they are given by staff in the same reception area we were given our towels. Then, the amenities themselves are simply old and not too well-kept. I'd expect that from an independent gym, but being part of such a big and pricey hotel (one where apparently Sinatra stayed in and everything) I'd expect something better. Overall, it was a mid experience for a four start hotel. There are much better ones out there for the exact same price, and I'd suggest to turn your attention to those before landing on this one.

Fantastic experience: We recently stayed at the Royal Marine Hotel 10th to 18th May as we were back for our annual visit. We were a party of four and occupied excellent sea view rooms. The breakfast was superb and it was nice to be welcomed back by Danka. The excellent Myat looked after us in the lounge with great care and attention and also arranged an afternoon tea for our relatives.Ian in Hardy's bar arranged a dinner party also for our relatives. Hayley did our booking and got us the exact rooms we had requested. We will definitely be back again next year.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. The room felt thrown together, the bed was small and uncomfortable, and the shower drainage was so poor it caused flooding in the bathroom and into the room. Dinner was no better—tough ribs, freezer-burned chips, and a badly made cocktail. A waiter spilled food on my partner’s €200 pants and ignored it until we spoke up. No apology, no compensation—just indifference. When we followed up, we were promised a call that never came. Despite being granted a late checkout, staff knocked early and phoned to rush us out. Worst of all, when we raised concerns at checkout, we were falsely accused of smoking and substance use—baseless and clearly targeted. We felt singled out and stereotyped as a same-sex couple, something we doubt a straight couple would’ve faced. Fantastic experience: First time staying here. Very nice and relaxing. Food service could be quicker but didn't take away from an enjoyable experience. Update: I'm very happy to say the service has improved tremendously. They are very attentive and friendly. I'm glad I returned to this hotel.

Fantastic experience: I used both the spa facilities and the leisure area during my visit. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The leisure space includes a steam room, sauna, and jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi isn’t the most impressive I’ve seen, it’s better than many others thanks to the slightly hotter water, which made it more relaxing. The leisure club is located close to the spa, and you can move between the two areas in your thermal robe, although they are technically separate spaces. The spa itself was very clean, with a peaceful ambiance and friendly, kind staff. I had a massage which was incredibly relaxing—so much so that I actually fell asleep during it! While not the best massage I’ve ever had, it definitely left me feeling calm and refreshed. The hot stone beds were fantastic, and the water bed was also a nice touch. The spa includes a sauna, aroma room, and a variety of treatment rooms. We opted for the mud chamber experience, which was absolutely brilliant—highly recommended! Though the spa isn't particularly large, it's clean, beautifully designed with candlelight and calming vibes, and thankfully wasn’t crowded during our visit. The only drawback was that some guests were speaking very loudly in the seating area, which is located right next to the relaxation zone. It really disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. I think the staff should kindly remind guests to maintain a quiet tone in those spaces. One key area of improvement is maintaining and restocking the refreshment offerings. After 3 PM, it seemed like the fruit basket, water flasks, and hot water for tea had not been replenished. The fruit basket—mostly green apples—was nearly empty from the start, and by the time we checked, only two very old and unappetizing apples remained. It would really enhance the experience if these small details were better managed throughout the day. Our package included food, which meant we had to change out of spa attire and return to the hotel restaurant. While it was a bit inconvenient to change just for lunch and then head back to the spa, it was also a nice opportunity to experience the hotel's dining service. The spa menu is different from the regular one, but it still offers a good variety of options. We had the chicken curry and fish and chips—both were served in generous portions and tasted delicious. The restaurant staff were very kind and respectful. Located in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, the spa is in a lovely and easily accessible area. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience with just a few small areas for improvement. ------- *Updates After Revisit* I recently revisited the spa at the Royal Marine Hotel and was genuinely impressed by how much attention they pay to guest feedback. This time, the experience was even better. All the spa baskets were well-stocked, the cold and hot drinks were regularly refreshed and of noticeably high quality, and the overall atmosphere was calm and enjoyable—just like my first visit. The staff were once again incredibly kind and professional, adding to the relaxing vibe of the place. The service quality throughout the visit was excellent. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and I left feeling just as satisfied—if not more—than the last time. It's clear they truly care about providing a top-tier experience. One small suggestion: I asked if they have a loyalty program for frequent spa visitors and was told there isn’t one at the moment. I believe introducing some kind of membership or discount program for returning guests would be a great addition. Overall, I still highly recommend this spa and will definitely be back again.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The daily room service was top-notch making our week stay enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were splendid which includes multiple restaurants and a more than adequate exercise facility. We ate in the main dining room as well as Hardy’s Bar and Bistro and found both to be excellent. We especially enjoyed coffee, tea and pastries in the lobby sitting areas. But what made our stay especially extraordinary are the hotel’s highly competent and pleasant staff. In particular Myat (who attends the lobby’s sitting areas) was the most pleasant and attentive wait-staff we have ever encountered in our 50 years of traveling. We will definitely be back!

Positive experience: Many stays here, great location, free parking and great reception staff. Only thing that was disappointing in the last stay was that a double bed was made out of 2 single beds without topper. I might as well could have said I was in a twin room. Very uncomfortable. Minus is that there isn’t AC but that did not affect me in any of previous stays.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I met up for lunch at the royal marine after walk along pier. As soon as we set down in a very relaxed comfortable area. Or server (myat) came over asked we wud like water on our table as we choose from.menu. when we were ordering our food. We asked for tea. She said wud you like dat now or later. Nice to.be asked that. I got fish and chips lightest tasty batter I have had in long time. Myat watched out table without been intrusive. ( As she did with all tables) Brought fresh tea and biscuits. 3 hours pasted quickly in a very pleasant atmosphere. All staff very friendly and helpful. So nice to see some hotels look after their casual lunch guests it made me want to spend more time there. Well done myat. That extra effort was well noted and appreciated

Positive experience: A very good hotel given the price point. Very conveniently located for people visiting central Dublin (about 40 mins on DART public transport) or the local area. Would highly recommend a visit to Forty Foot for people staying here (less than a 30 min walk). I chose this hotel because of the location and because it had a spa and gym. The spa and gym facilities were big and good. My only feedback point for them is that they could be more aesthetic & calming. The steam room had a quite loud noise of the steam machine and the sauna was quite dark compared to others I’ve been in. But they worked nicely. Note also that the hotel spa has a hot tub called the hydrotherapy pool

Positive experience: Front desk as always are super friendly as is the luggage check area. I opted for an executive suite (615) for a couple of nights which is located in the older part of the hotel. The room was very clean, but cramped and tired. Last time I stayed in the older part in an executive family suite the room was much better and larger. The hotel bar staff seemed confused and perhaps new as table service was comical. Be aware that the underground car park is pretty small - a medium sized 5 Series BMW is a very tight fit. Nice hotel, but needs upgrades and training in certain areas. Bathroom needed to be redone / clean but broken tiles and dated.

Negative experience: I’m laying in bed ,at 12.30 wide awake with a terrible headache. The music down stairs is so loud that we can’t sleep. We have an early start in the morning as we have lots of plans for tomorrow. Which will all be ruined now as we will be so tired. I rang reception twice but there are no other rooms available. It is going to continue on until 1.30. This is so upsetting. What a lack of respect for their customers. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

Positive experience: The hotel’s business center, where we attended a two-day course, had some maintenance issues. The toilets were not checked regularly, and there was a constant shortage of toilet paper. Lunchtime was also problematic, with frequent incidents and long waiting times for food. Historically, the Royal Marine Hotel dates back to 1828, when it was known as Hayes Hotel and later as Hayes Royal Hotel, overlooking Kingstown Harbour and Dublin Bay. In 1863, it was purchased by William Dargan, the man behind Ireland’s first railway between Dublin and Kingstown. The hotel also played a role in broadcasting history—on July 20, 1898, Marconi transmitted a wireless sports commentary on the Kingstown Regatta. The hotel has welcomed many famous guests. Irish revolutionary Michael Collins is believed to have hidden in Room 210 with his partner, Kitty Kiernan. In 1953, Laurel and Hardy stayed at the Royal Marine for 33 days while performing at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. Other notable visitors include Frank Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin. Today, the Royal Marine is independently owned and managed by the Neville family from County Wexford, who purchased the hotel in 2003. While the hotel has an impressive history and grand architecture, my personal experience was somewhat underwhelming due to service issues.
Fantastic experience: Mother's Day afternoon treat at this hotel did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the tea and coffee were unlimited. We sat in the Bay window seats on a beautiful sunny day looking out over the bay and admiring the view. Our servers were most attentive and helpful. Altogether it was a wonderful way to enjoy the occasion.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here over Christmas into the new year for 12 nights. Great central location to stay if visiting family in Dublin. It’s easy for them to visit you at the hotel, with many places to sit (the front foyer with luxury lounges), or cafe tables in the rear foyer, or the bar / dining area). Some rooms are a bit tired looking but the prices are well worth it. Everything worked for us. Swimming pool is great, and I hear the gym, sauna, etc. is too. Overall the staff are excellent. They do their best to make your stay enjoyable. There’s too many names to note here, but we knew most of them by name during our stay.

Fantastic experience: Stayed for a birthday, the staff upgraded our room no extra charge & the room was fabulous. Breakfast was very tasty. Everything was perfect just found the common area and breakfast area a little too warm with fires lit and radiators on at the same time as it wasn’t that cold outside. Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK HERE FOR YOUR WEDDING.. Absolute disgrace of a hotel booked our room to stay the night as we were booked into the Wedding fair the next day. Were told that we could not go into bar for food or drinks!! For the entire night and staff just didn't care that we were paying guests all staff were very ignorant and unprofessional. So we decided to leave less then an hour later with Absolutely no refunds for are room that we didn't even enter. Completely wasted are night. And heard from other people that stayed here and they say the exact same thing about the staff. Not a hope would we get married in this hotel.
Negative experience: So first of all we were here for the thirty sixth annual session of Saint Andrews Model United Nations, the atmosphere we quite nice and looked “royal” to some extent, breakfast was nice but lacked richness. Finally the sound-proofing; we could hear everything and that is literally everything such as the flush of the toilet and normal conversations between customers.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed of the treatment I have received when I enquired about wedding the 2025. I would not recommend. We prefer small wedding due to quality over quantity. We prefer just have family and very closed friends. When I contacted the hotel, I received the brochure from Dhriti G. When I enquired further, they recommended semi private hire but then I was told due to one wedding policy. I would not be allowed to have photographer taking photo in the public area and would not be allowed to wearing white or wedding outfit. It is shocking for them even suggested something like this for someone's wedding day. Apparently they do not have another wedding booked this day yet. Completely understand from business point of view want more revenue, but why don't you ask for minimum spend or simply rejected mine and hopefully for a bigger one. I stayed couple of times before and I used to like this hotel but not anymore and very disappointed

Fantastic experience: We booked afternoon tea here just before Christmas. We had a wonderful time beside the roaring fire in the living room, the food was excellent staff made us feel very special (in particular our server, Myat, was absolutely phenomenal. She doted on us the whole time. The chef was also wonderful and came out to speak to us as well.) We will definitely be back next year!

Negative experience: We had a large family gathering booked for the 19th for around 20 people; it was my Dad's 88th birthday and we also had 2 other family members birthdays. We decided to stay over on the Saturday night along with my husband, my brother and 3 relatives who travelled from northern Ireland. The check in experience was fine and the room was lovely but unfrotunatley the rest of the evening was a dissappointment. We went to Hardy's bar around 6pm for food and we were told it was booked out for the entire night - we were shocked that reception hadn't told us this at check in - we were very dissappointed so sat out in a common area with bright lights and just no atmosphere. Eventually a member of staff approached us and said he had a cancellation so we were able to go in and have food - which in fairness was fantastic. The rugby was on and we wanted to watch the second half (Leinster V Bath) we move near to a TV in the bar and asked if we could use it - (all the tables had reserved signs) one bar man said he needed it back at 7.30 so we said fine and ordered drinks - while we sat there about 4 different members of staff approached us at different times asking us to leave as the table was booked - they were extremley rude. We said we were told we coud sit there until 7.30. But the bar man who told us that then changed his story and told us he needed table back in 5 minutes - we were mortified, so just left and sat at a table outside the bar where thankfully there was a TV - the manager of bar came out then to apologize—but even his apology was quite passive aggressive and he basically said look there was nothing he could do - even though. - we sat outside the bar until 8pm and the table we had been at was still empty as were most of the supposed booked out tables. I've never stayed in a hotel where the bar was so unwelcoming - incredibly rude staff. We had our family lunch the next day that was fine but to be honest facing the same staff as the night before had just left a bad atmosphere for us. I would never book here again we were extremley disappointed. I used to go to the Royal Marine since I was a little girl it was always a lovely place - but you really need to work on customer service - and the bar area and staff seem to be extremley snobbish and in my opinion lie to people about being booked out. We spent an absoulte fortune at this hotel between the rooms booked on Saturday, food and drink Saturday night and then a large family lunch on Sunday - but we wouldn't go back after the way we were treated by the bar staff. They need to some serious customer training here.
Fantastic experience: The Royal Marine Hotel is out of this world. We are regular visitors as we love to come so much. The rooms are spacious, very clean and up to date. The location is facing the pier and in the heart of DunLaoghaire town. It is perfect for a lovely pier walk or sea swim or a wander around the town.The hotel has a lovely restaurant with great food. The spa and swimming pool is excellent as it is heated so our baby could enjoy a swim with us. I got a Swedish full body massage and an Indian head massage and it was out of this world. The afternoon tea is also very good. A huge shout out to Dragan the manager. This gentleman loves his job and you can tell. He would help anyone in need. He went above and beyond for me and my family and I can’t thank him enough. We need more people like him in the world he is great. He is a great asset to the Hotel. Well done Dragon. Fantastic experience: We had afternoon tea here at the end of December and it was absolutely beautiful. Our server - Myat was so so lovely and polite. She was very careful and considerate with our dietary restrictions and was very attentive to us! We had gorgeous mulled wine on arrival and then lots and lots of tea/coffee and little treats! Fantastic experience: "I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable this hotel was for the quality and facilities provided" ;-) I stayed here with my wife and baby, and it truly exceeded our expectations for the price. The seafront location was stunning, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The room was comfortable and well-suited for a family, and the facilities. Including the pool, sauna, steam room, and, of course, the jacuzzi were fantastic. Amazing value for money, highly recommended.

Negative experience: I have been to Royal Marine Hardy's Bar on numerous occasions and loved it, so obviously keep going back but last night we were so disappointed. We ordered steak sandwiches which were so cold when they eventually arrived after ordering an hr before due to chef not getting order!! When I say cold I mean cold. Manager came down and offered us the bottle of wine we were drinking while waiting for meal!! Very bad service and handling of situation. My steak not only cold but uneatable due to toughness.....The only part of food I ate was the chips that were hot. The only good part was, the waitress kept apologising and was so lovely to us and apologetic. She was so lovely and made us feel heard in the situation. The manager handled it very coldly. An awful night's food experience. So sorry to say as loved before.....

Positive experience: Nice hotel in a great location, staff were very good, food was ok but could be a bit better, chocolates in the rooms were a nice touch. Getting to the hotel through local traffic and pedestrians can be a challange bit worth it for a very central location near the pier.

Positive experience: I'll start with the positives The rooms were big and comfortable and there was a lovely walk in shower with great water pressure. The food was excellent and reasonably priced The waiter however who served our table was pretty rude and uninterested When bringing over our pre dinner drinks he just dumped them on the table and walked off and then when we tried to order dessert his exact words were 'what do ya want!' I it was a poor experience from start to finish with him and I actually think it's the first time I've not left a tip and I've travelled the world staying in 4-5 star hotels everywhere but I don't think I've experienced the rudeness we experienced during dinner.

Fantastic experience: I recently attended an event hosted by Dr. Mary Ryan at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire and it is a fantastic venue. The facade is just stunning and the interior is very elegant and feels uber relaxed. Staff were all very attentive. The conference ballroom was very comfortable with one wall being completely glass affording gorgeous views out over the bay and ample natural light which I found very appropriate for day into night events.

Fantastic experience: Recently, I came to Royal Marine to see the band Kila play here, and as a local in Dun Laoghaire, I was so pleased to spend the night here. The staff were so helpful, kind, and attentive. We also had the BEST time at the gig what a night. It was great to see so many people all together dancing away the week they had and enjoying the music. Great function room, too! Will absolutely recommend staying here, and of course, why wouldn't you not want to with the sea views close to multiple transport options and things to do right on the doorstep! Keep up the great work!
Fantastic experience: Above and beyond. The staff, rooms, food, and spa, are all excellent. I booked a few events there with up to 350 people and the staff went above and beyond. The hotel is often busy/full and I am not surprised as they are doing a great job. I look forward to do more events there add would fully recommend it. P.s get the burger in Hardy’s bar.
Fantastic experience: Loved the hotel! They gave us am amazing room at a great price. It had a small balcony that overlooked the Irish sea. I would stay here again. The suana and steam room were great.
Fantastic experience: I attended a presentation here and was very impressed with the event. The location of The Royal Marine Hotel is fabulous overlooking Dun Laoghaire Harbour especially on a beautiful day. Lunch was served and it was first class with a delicious dessert. The lunch service was also first class. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Fantastic experience: Booked a twin room, easy and fast check in. When I got to the room is was a double instead of a twin. I went back to reception and it was sorted within minutes, porters were up straight away to modify the bed and linen. Staff and porters were friendly, efficient and helpful. Room was warm and comfortable and very good if you are elderly or have mobility issues as the showered was a walk in shower, with a seat and pull cord. Hotel in general was clean and bright, didn't seem cramped. TV in room was modern, with fridge and water, tea and coffee. Would stay here again as it's a great hotel with a good location.

Fantastic experience: Attented the Kila concert in the hotel on Friday 4 Oct as part of the Dun Laoghaire music festival. Really enjoyed the gig. The place rocked. The dance floor was never empty. Great location for a gig. Great sound , plenty of room , very pleasant night. Highly reccomended

Fantastic experience: This was my sixth stay at the hotel, It was absolutely fantastic as always. Liam at reception was one of the most helpful receptionists I’ve dealt with in any hotel. There were none of our rooms available so he upgraded us to one of the most fabulous rooms I’ve ever stayed in. There’s something so calming about staying here, I really recommend it. Dun Laoghaire is a beautiful place to walk around & there’s so much transport into the city should you wish to go

Negative experience: Room smelled. We opened both windows all day and it didn’t make much if any difference. Both side chairs were dirty. We weren’t the only ones in our party to have this issue. Carpet wasn’t very clean either. Also, the gym is supposed to be open until 9:00 pm. However, you have to be there at 8:15 and you have to leave by 8:45….the gym isn’t open until 9:00…Not sure why the restrictions, but won’t stay here again.

Fantastic experience: We recently celebrated our wedding at the Royal Marine Hotel, and it was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. We hosted our entire wedding here, including the welcome drinks the night before, the ceremony, and the reception, and every aspect of the experience was beyond exceptional. The staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly looked after. Special mention to our wedding coordinator, Dhriti, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. Her expertise, organization, and calm demeanor helped make our day stress-free. The venue itself is stunning. The hotel’s seamless transition between transforming the function room to our dinner reception allowed everything to flow perfectly. We also had the convenience of getting ready in one of the gorgeous rooms that morning, which made the whole day feel relaxed and special. The Royal Marine Hotel delivered in every way possible – from the beautiful decor to the exceptional service. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our special day and would highly recommend it to any couple planning their wedding!

Fantastic experience: Strongly Recommend!! The location, staff and restaurants are clearly 5 stars. We stayed 13 nights and found everything and everyone delightful. We booked a ocean view room with a small balcony and it was exactly what we would have hoped for. And. The cost was very fair for that type of room. The pub atmosphere and food we outstanding, and experience I seldom find at hotels. The easily walkable neighborhoods, waterfront and local shops really added to the experience. The exterior and some of the interior are a little dated. Or, perhaps they are a little too bland. Or both. I imagine they will work on this

Positive experience: Centrally placed hotel; we had a sea-view room overlooking the harbour and the sailboats, which was lovely. Four nights B&B, two dinners, and an afternoon tea before leaving for the airport. The service was special with nothing too much trouble. Underground parking was a blessing. The gym was a surprise, and we had several enjoyable swims in the hotel pool - all free to guests. We would visit again, and have bought afternoon tea vouchers online as gifts for friends. Worth the money.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful customer service from Liam on the Reception desk who went above and beyond trying to help me with a telephone request, even though I wasn't even staying in the hotel. Definitely five star level of service, really appreciate it!
Negative experience: Had a meeting in the reception area with lots of staff and management seving in the area atrocious service. Ordered tea coffee and scones hugh delays and had to reorder several times. When trying to pay, we asked for a bill from 6 different staff eventually got a senior staff member who could not find our bill and charged us 12 euros as it was the only bill she could find although we told her we had several more teas and coffee.

Fantastic experience: Attended The Royal Marine Hotel today with my family for afternoon tea and it was perfect! Krishna took care of absolutely everything we could have wanted. The service he provided was next incredible and he went above and beyond for us. The food, price and general service was excellent, would recommend coming here!
Fantastic experience: Just want to say a big thank you to Krishna who looked after my Daughter, Granddaughter & Son in law today! I booked afternoon tea as a wedding anniversary gift and Krishna went above and beyond to make their visit special. They said everything was just fantastic! This didn't surprise me as when myself and sisters went for afternoon tea there last year we all agreed it far surpassed any other hotels we'd been to. Positive experience: We had a really nice stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. It is a beautiful place, and with our junior suite, wich was gigantic, we had a nice view of the ocean, and a nice quit room, with a good, large bed, and a couch section. The tv was a bit small for the room, and the shower was a giantic disappointment. We really didnt feel like taking a shower there, as the shower head was the smallest i have ever seen, not really distributing waster, and impossible to adjust temperature. I really don't belwive, that when you pay SO much money for a hotel room, that the shower could be so extremely shitty. The hotel in general was really nice, and the staff so helpful and nice,but i would never come back to a place so discouriging of guests taking a shower. I am actually shocked that the shower was so extremely shitty.

Positive experience: So the good points are the location in Dún Laoghaire, enjoyable swimming pool with steam room/sauna/jacuzzi and the beds were comfy. The rest is to be desired and it doesn't deserve a 4 star rating.
