Negative experience: I rented a bike from here some time ago and the breaks locked up completely along the Greenway. Bikes could be in better shape.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience from Viking Bikes, we hired a carbon bike. Firstly, the bike was in great condition, and a brief fitting service was also given to my partner who is on the tall side! We were also given some great advice about the Waterford Greenway, along with cafe stops, and the profile and wind direction of the route. Finally the bike was already equipped with (sad to say, much needed) an inner tube and tools which are essentials but usually forgotten by rental companies. We would highly recommend Viking Bikes!

Fantastic experience: I reached out to several bike shops around Ireland prior to our 10day vacation there to inquire about bike rentals and to see if there might be a local cycling club ride we could go on. Rolf was the only person to get back to me. Not only did he set us up and fitted us with road bikes but he arranged for us to go for a training ride with the Waterford Wheelers Cycling Club. The "Lads" took great care of us and our ride with them was the highlight of our vacation! Once back to the shop we were invited to hang out. It was a total blast to not just ride but to hang out with them. The following morning we just happened to be passing by the shop when Rolf was getting ready to open for business. Not only did he greet us but invited us to sit and enjoy morning tea with him. Customer service is top shelf! Rolf also had a couple of VERY good places for us to see during the last couple of days of our trip.

Negative experience: Spoke to someone from this business regarding a long term rental. Due to the temporary closure, I was advised me to have €130 in cash [which I do not normally have on me] and meet this person at 5 the following day. He did not show up, nor did he reply to my text confirming the agreement. Disappointing service.

Fantastic experience: I could not have had a better experience if I was at home. Since I traveled to Ireland I wanted to keep my luggage down. Only showed up my winter shoes and kit. Not only did I get a bike fit before I took off, ( at 9:30 on the Sunday before Christmas) but I got, a helmet,tubes,air,pump, bottle, wrenches and directions to the Greenway. Plus they said where to park my car for free. I highly recommend them.

He was extremely friendly and very accommodating, fixing my partners bike which had a few niggles and also helped us return my rented cycle when we arrived back late. Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed their bike as well as their service! The staff was super friendly and kind. I had a wonderful bike for exploring the Copper Coast. Everything was well adjusted so I could happily cruise on the streets of Ireland all day! I can unconditionally recommend this place. Go rent your bike there and talk to the owner, he is super nice as well as the store!

Fantastic experience: While on a cycle tour, on my way into the city my rear wheel threw a spoke, apparently the shop wasn't supposed to be open, but I went through the door and was welcomed. Rolf did a great job on my bike with a smile on his face and friendly small talk. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful guys - helped us with a group of 7 get everything we needed for a great day out. Made sure we had what we wanted/needed from road bikes for the sporty ones to hybrids for the more chilled. Definitely recommend them if you need bikes in the Waterford area whether it's for the Greenway or something more adventurous.

Fantastic experience: We rented electric bikes for a cycle to Kilmacthomas on the Greenway today. The bikes were fantastic - good quality, great power in the battery, comfortable saddle. Cycling through the town to the start of the Greenway was easy. It was such a great afternoon. Niall was friendly, helpful and charming. A great service.

They offered me total flexibility to bring the bike back to the store, gave me excellent tips for the tour and provided a waterproof jacket (I happened to pick a kinda rainy day but still it was worth it). The bike was in a good state for a quite reasonable price.

I was greated in such a professional and kindly manor, I ended up getting a puncture half way, Ralph the owner came and collected me and my bike and fixed everything. Excellent service
