Negative experience: When I joined in 2024, the classes included nutritional coaching as part of the package. Later, Jason decided to remove that service but continued charging the same price. The classes are good, and the coaches are solid. When Jason teaches, though, the music is almost always the same — very little variety. It’s a pricey service: nearly €200 to join for 6 weeks and after a monthly fee. Once a year there’s a discount if you pay up front, but other options were never explained. Training locations are convenient and accessible. There’s no contract or even a simple pamphlet outlining the rules, which are unclear — everything was loosely managed. I got injured and decided to pause my membership. I informed Jason one day after he processed the payment, and he said it was fine — never explaining what a “pause” actually meant. Two months later, I messaged to say I couldn’t return because I was still injured, and I asked about a refund, since I never attended a single class after that charge. His response was: “We could not run a business whereby we refund payments two months after they’ve been processed for circumstances that are out of our control. I have paused that month for you for the last 2 months or so as above. Normally we pause a membership for a maximum of one month.” As if being injured and unable to return was somehow under my control — and as if I had any way of knowing what he normally does in these situations. His reply showed no self-awareness, offered no solutions, and simply enforced a rule that had never been communicated. He kept the money, of course. So if you choose to join, make sure you demand clear communication — because instead of informing clients about his policies or showing any concern, he responds in a condescending manner, lecturing you on how to run a business. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your kind response, Jason! I just wish everything you mentioned had been explained much earlier, not only now. I'm not someone who goes from gym to gym or similar businesses, so I don’t really know what the usual practices are. Now I know, I had to learn the hard way. Speaking of your pricing, I paid €197 for your 6-week program, which means I ended up overpaying without realizing it—yet another point that highlights a lack of transparency.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We're genuinely sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience, but I’d like to clarify a few points to ensure an accurate understanding for others reading this.
You were on a flexible monthly membership which is a cancel anytime subscription, the payment you’re referring to was processed as scheduled, prior to your request to pause. As with most gyms and studios, once a billing cycle has started, a refund is not typically issued two months later for issues outside of our control - especially when the pause request comes after the payment has gone through. However, as a goodwill gesture, I agreed to pause your membership from that point onwards and put it on hold until you were ready to return. This was the agreement we had, and I honored that fully.
Regarding the nutrition coaching aspect, you are correct that it was phased out. This was part of a broader change to our pricing structure and business model as was updated to all members in the community WhatsApp group which you would have seen. The cost of operating our service - including rent, staff, insurance, and overheads had increased, and we adjusted our offering to reflect that. The classes still offer excellent value at approximately €7 per class, which remains highly competitive.
In relation to the pricing you mentioned, I’d like to clarify that our 6 week programs currently range from €75-150 and our monthly subscriptions are between €70-85 depending on the package chosen. These prices are clearly communicated during onboarding and are subject to change depending on supply and demand, cost of living etc as we understand it can be a difficult time for some people financially.
While we don’t currently offer printed pamphlets, we always strive to be transparent and are happy to clarify any questions at any time.
We understand that injuries and life circumstances can be frustrating, and we wish you a full recovery. We’ve always aimed to be as fair and accommodating as possible within the boundaries of our policies, and we’re sorry if that wasn’t how it felt from your perspective.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the classes at Momentum Fitness Galway. If you are not comfortable with an exercise, Jason and coaches will modify it to suit your ability, so no one is left behind throughout the class. I do the classes twice a week to add some extra cardio/toning to my routine. The atmosphere is so inviting and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I felt terrible being late for Jason due to an overload of work commitments and was tempted to not show up but I pushed through. I haven't done any excersise besides walking for years. As someone who was competing at intervarsities over ten years ago I kept comparing my abilities, reflexes ect to myself in my twenties Jason helped me discover my muscle memory and gain confidence in my current abilities.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for 6 weeks and I and others have noticed a big change in my physique. I have slimmed down and put on muscle. I was pretty fit about a year ago, but had a period of illness that prevented me exercising and I kind of got out of the habit. The sessions are great because you always have a choice of how tough the exercises are, so you can tailor it to whatever level you're at. Also there are a variety of classes throughout the week, so you can get to class even if you have a busy work schedule like mine. Many of the people who attend the sessions have been going for a while, and are supportive and non judgemental if you aren't super fit to begin with. I signed up for 6 weeks initially and have just extended my membership.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my first 4 weeks PT with Jason and I am definitely signing up for more. In the few weeks I've noticed such a difference in my overall appearance, energy levels and attitude to exercise. My personalized tailored plan has given me so much confidence to be able to continue the same level of intensity in the gym as the PT sessions. My advice to anyone thinking of signing up is don't wait until January to sign up!! Best decision I ever made. Looking forward to taking my fitness to the next level in 2025 with Jason.

I've been to classes in both Salthill and Renmore and they are always different. The format is similar but they change up the exercises so you enjoy every class as if it's brand new. Fantastic experience: High energy workouts, really engaged coaches, great flexibility with plans and classes. Can’t recommend JM Fitness enough. You can come in at any level and step-up or step-down as you need to. The coaches are always on the ball and can recommend changes if they see you struggling or if they think you’re ready to challenge yourself a bit more. There’s something for anyone who is thinking of joining. I’ve been sleeping better and feeling more energised since joining almost 6 weeks ago and would recommend it to anyone who is curious.

Fantastic experience: Started with JMF over a year ago and have really enjoyed the classes since day one. Each class brings a variation of exercises and is great fun with each coach bringing their own style of training and fitness tips. Fantastic experience: I recently joined JMF. I feel at the classes I'm challenged to be a better me and pushed out of my comfort zone. I also really like the fact that the mental health side of things are taken into consideration..yoga poses to cool down even a bit of meditation at the very end. It really is all encompassing. I have met a few friendly faces through the classes who have encouraged me to keep going when I felt like I couldn't push myself any further. I'm enjoying myself more then I imagined!!!

Each trainer brings a new challenge which brings variety and all classes are 50 mins long with lovely warm downs included to finish each class. We are all on a first name basis now and everyone is encouraged to reach their own personal best without any judgement…..I personally feel that this is one of the many reasons why JMF continues to grow. I would encourage anyone to take the time to attend one of his classes . Like me you will never look back!
Fantastic experience: I took part in the outdoor disco fitness last summer, and it was amazing! Such a community! A fun environment, and a great way to get away from the routines that you can become easily bored of on your own in the gym! Instructors are super helpful and the classes are suitable for all levels
Fantastic experience: It's been four months since I started attending Jason Mitchell fitness class. I can say that it was a really good decision for me. I really love Jason's and the whole team activities. I get good energy and positive emotion in training. I feel more motivated myself. The team is very friendly. Can't wait to come back again . Fantastic experience: Been following him for a year then decided to joined 3 weeks ago, so far so good. Jason is very friendly, knowledgeable of what he is doing. Timewise ? Yes-timetable is suitable for my life style as busy working mum. It's great that I just show up and use equipment provided from his car boot. Re Nutrition pack I've got- I love it and so as my son. I will see progress v soon 45 mins is worth it For my 3 weeks experienced, I would highly recommend Jason Mitchell Fitness. Nancy

Fantastic experience: I was looking for an exercise option to fit around a busy family life and Jason classes really worked to me. Jason did an assessment and a nutrition program for me and set up a personal program based on my age and my abilities. I have been very impressed by jasons knowledgeability. Jason is also encouraging, always smiling and always ready to make useful suggestions and modifications. I would recommend this type of program to anyone looking for other options other than traditional gyms ,his classes are dynamic and lots of fun as well .

Fantastic experience: Since joining Jason’s classes almost 1 year ago, I have seen so many benefits from attending the classes. On a practical level, the classes have made me much healthier in terms of feeling fitter and stronger, but also, it’s been an incredible addition to my mental health, cognition, and overall immunity. The classes are also extremely social so there’s consistent motivation. Finally, and most importantly, Jason is an incredible trainer. He is so encouraging, warm and really focuses in on each persons technique to ensure they get the best from the classes and reduce the chance of injury. Jason’s classes have been the first I’ve found that have really transformed my fitness levels and overall well-being. I’d highly recommend Jason’s classes to anyone. With the early mornings you can get your workout done, which in turn sets you up for the day ahead. Jason ensures that all classes are fun and versatile. All exercise techniques can be adjusted to meet all individual needs and capabilities. Jason is very accommodating and supportive, I would highly recommend his fitness programme to all.
Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Jason, Muireann and Maria enough. Yoga with Muireann on Monday was a fab start to the day/week. She’s a brilliant instructor and the class is a lovely mix of setting intentions, breath work and yoga poses - ideal for easing into the week. Jason and Maria’s classes are great, high-energy and lots of fun. There’s a good variety of exercises and you can adapt to make them harder or slightly easier and the tunes are pumping so you really get into the swing of it. Love the early morning sessions as you’re up and out and your exercise is done for the day. Definitely recommend the classes - the instructors are fab, the group are lovely and welcoming and they’re good craic!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Jason Mitchell Fitness. What I find the best is the early morning for me that it's high intensity done in a short time but so effective for cardio and resistance training. Mostly it's fun and a great community gets me up in the morning and motivated. I reached a plateau training on my own. Once I joined Jason's classes Iist wright to ed up andovdral strength and energy increased. His meal plans and recipes are delicious too. I never get bored at jm class

Jason's classes are so much fun you almost forget you're working every muscle in the body (until the next day!!) :D The music really gets you going and the exercises are so varied you never get bored, time flies.
