Negative experience: So bad experience with cleaner staff, cause I was using lesmills studio. I don’t understand why they have to cleaning in the meddle of the day. I know the have to clean I totally understand but we also have to work in we use the installation just the time we have left…. I respect recommending that they should have hours of cleaning that we also we can known it theremore we can plan another routines

Negative experience: Exceptionally poor service at Westwood Clontarf and Ashton Quay — deeply disappointing. I normally only write reviews to highlight excellent service or to give 5 stars — but my experience with Westwood was so frustrating, I felt I had to share it. I had no intention of cancelling my membership. I simply wanted to update my payment details — a basic request — but was met with yet another staff member who was rude, dismissive, and clearly not interested in helping. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told she was the manager, which I found shocking given her attitude and lack of professionalism. Sadly, this isn’t the first time. Across both Clontarf and Ashton Quay, I’ve consistently encountered poor service, bad attitudes, and a general unwillingness to support or engage with members respectfully. Westwood continues to increase its prices, but delivers none of the customer service you’d expect from a so-called premium gym. My experience has been consistently negative, and based on other reviews, I know I’m far from alone.

Negative experience: Today is 31st March 2025. I just came from there, Clontarf gym. I went to start the trial, in reception I was told to wait in the living room and wait for a staff member to call me. I was in the chair facing the main door and reception, I saw also more people coming for trial or admission. I waited 40 min, I saw two people that came after me being called and taken to a meeting room. The guy at reception saw me this entire time then I decided to leave this guy in reception was on the phone. I went to him and said "I'm leaving" he answered "there's someone coming to see you", I Said "no bother" and left. Seriously, 40min or even more if I would stay? That's the treatment I got there. I'm really disappointed with the service with someone that wanna become a member.

Negative experience: Pool area needs a touch up, just look at the ceiling next time your in there. Corner freeweight section is a disgrace, there is a landmine press holder that is rusted and has about an inch of dust on it, totally unacceptable for a Westwood gym.

Negative experience: As a full-time member of West Wood Club - Aston Quay, I am disheartened to share my recent encounter with Aston Quay staff members. Today, my card malfunctioned, and despite explaining the situation, they refused me access. Their rudeness was evident in front of other members, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. Moreover, on a separate occasion, I encountered a staff member who lacked basic human decency. She not only argued with me but also resorted to abusive language and harassment. Such behavior is unacceptable in any professional setting. I urge the management to prioritize Aston Quay Staff members basic etiquette training and professionalism. While other West Wood Club branches excel, Aston Quay falls really short only due to rude staff. I recommend visiting Westmanstown Club for a more positive experience.

Negative experience: I recently visited West Wood Club at Aston Quay with high expectations, having been a member about 10 years ago. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite receiving a 4-day trial offer and being invited by Shane to visit, I encountered poor customer service upon arrival. The staff seemed uninformed about handling new customers, and there was confusion over my trial eligibility due to my previous membership. Promises of a special membership offer for former members were not honored. The lack of communication and professionalism was surprising for a gym marketed as “luxury.” Overall, a frustrating and embarrassing experience that left me unimpressed.

Fantastic experience: Great venue in a handy location with friendly staff... My trainer Sabrina is amazing and I really enjoy Body Balance class with Fernanda too. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the service and condition of the gym and pool area. They are taking feedback seriously and I had a survey after 3 weeks of joining. From the comments it looks like 2 years ago it was a different situation. I have worked in gyms before so I knew the joining fee was always negotiable. I think 89€ a month is fair for what they offer. My partner and I, on the weekends, go to different gyms to see which we like best. Clontarf is huge and brand new but honestly Aston is quiet and close to home so it suits me very well during the week. The pool lights are very nice and relaxing. Wish the water was a bit warmer though. Dun laogaire is a similar vibe to Aston and we liked it a lot as well.

Emre Akçay 6 months ago

Negative experience: My wife visited to get information. They initially quoted an outrageous registration fee of around €635. When we mentioned that it was too high, they suddenly lowered it to €99 after just five minutes. The previous week, they had told our friends who inquired that the registration fee was €65. This is an absurd business practice. They seem to make up prices as they go, with no fixed pricing system, giving different fees to different people. This should be reported and investigated. Anyone considering registering should be aware of this.

Negative experience: What a disaster. Following a call with Sean at Aston Quay, to arrange a visit to the gym for 1pm on Sunday. Get there to be told the visit is scheduled for Sandymount and if you still want to see Sean he's busy now and you'll have to wait some time. Why would I be interested in Sandymount if I intend working out at Aston Quay. Sad when a gym can't even get the basics of admin correct. Explains why others complain this branch is falling apart.

Fantastic experience: A must- try! Fernanda’s body pump class is amazing. It’s my first class and I love it. She’s got so much energy and pushes you in a fun way! The music is so fun. If you want a challenge and have fun at the same time, this class is for you.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t choose a better gym to workout than West Wood Aston Quay. The personal trainers are extremely well qualified, Fernanda has an amazing energy that keep us motivated in every class. I can mention a few personal trainers that makes all difference at WW. Roger, Ana Souto, Thiago, Sabrina and Erika Perdigão. The trip and Body pump class are my favourite classes. Any time I need help with the machines, they are willing to help me. Thankyou very much for doing what you love very well. West Wood Aston Quay Team ♥️

Fantastic experience: Simply one of the best gyms in Dublin. The personal training support is incredible. The classes, such as BodyPump, Just Dance, The Trip, and Pilates, are amazing. The instructors in the classes are very motivational and, in a way, help us build confidence to improve our performance. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: The best Pilates class I've ever! Erica Perdigão is an amazing instructor. She is attentive, explains everything clearly, and always takes the time to correct us when needed. Her teaching style makes me feel supported and confident in every session . I’m absolutely in love with her classes. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic experience: Great gym and right in the middle of the city centre. I do the Trip classes with Fernanda and they are the best spin classes I have done. She is super friendly with everyone and has a high energy - the classes were hard but very fun!!

Fantastic experience: I went to a strength development and body balance class with coach Maria, very satisfied ! The workout was challenging and Maria’s professionalism and guidance made it even better. She explained everything clearly, paid attention to everyone’s form, and created a great atmosphere. I feel stronger and more balanced already and can’t wait for more sessions with her!

Negative experience: We pay €90 per month for this gym, and even during the busiest hours of the day, there are workers carrying out maintenance, making a loud noise, and painting the stairs. This creates a disruptive environment for members who are there to work out. Such activities could easily be scheduled during off-hours or when the gym is closed to avoid inconveniencing paying customers. For the price we pay, I would expect better planning and consideration.

Teodor Cojocea 8 months ago

Negative experience: Stay away. Expensive and worst place ever. On their website saying membership starting from 2 euro/day, yet they overcharge you to 89 euro/month. They say you can try the places for 4 days, but they constrain you to sign up before the trial just to get the best sign up fee which is no where mentioned on the website. Very bad communication, very bad staff which looking into getting new customers and make money on their back, rather than help you and offer you exactly what their website saying. Website mislead, very big scam. Stay way. there are places with 33 euro/month no joining fee, looking way much better. The Sandymount location, for a week pool still have hair gather on the margin, no one cleaned it even after i pointed it out.

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting WestWood (Aston Quay), very nice and clean gym. I would like to admit Maria’s classes, she’s very attentive and professional. I personally like all of her classes ( Body Mind, Balance, etc.).

Negative experience: Worst gym ever. You pay monthly €89 and the stream room is out of service for almost 3 weeks. And when you ask for some money back they refuse. At the end You pay for a service that you don’t have at all. Avoid!!

Negative experience: I decided to make this complain public so the regular members or new members can be aware of how low and bad the Westwood is. I don’t mean all the branches but specifically the west wood at Aston Quay where my lockers was cut off whiteout my concern. The managers Rachel is aware of my case and still didn’t do anything to sort out the inconvenience situation that has happened with me. If you carry on expensive items west wood isn’t a safe place to lock your item on while training. I hope they can improve their service and quality. Regards, Anderson

Negative experience: The gym is advertised as closing at 8pm. I was just refused access to the gym at 7:05pm on basis that you can’t get in after 7pm. So the hours should be updated to note that the gym closes at 7pm. If you can’t get access after 7pm then why is it advertised as 8pm. Edit: I see Alan the manager has replied below. Can’t seem to respond back to the comment. This was in Aston Quay. I’m not sure if the reply is that it’s correct I was denied access at 7pm or that was an error.

West Wood Club

Hi Lee. Which club was this? You should have been denied entry at 7pm. Thanks, Alan

AM X 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Arrived at 7.05pm for a twenty min workout, said I couldn't go in as they are closing the gym at 8pm, most places do last entry half an hour. And what are they doing for an hour before closing if the place is hardly ever clean?

Fantastic experience: Westwood Club Aston Quay is a fantastic gym! The facilities are always clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and professional. It’s a great environment for anyone looking to work out in a well-maintained and welcoming space.

Mark Adkins 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: Though it may net be the fanciest gym...it has everything you need to get a full, hard workout in. Opens earlier than most gyms and is open on Sundays too. Great location and worth the money as it has several amenities. This is my home gym when I am in Dublin.

anne brand 10 months ago

Negative experience: I would like to share my recent experience at the Temple Bar location. As someone who regularly works out at various gyms throughout Dublin, I have always appreciated the high standards of cleanliness and organization at these facilities. However, my visit to the Temple Bar gym was disappointing due to the attitude of some staff members. It felt as though certain employees considered themselves the owners of the gym, forgetting that their primary role is to support and enhance the customer experience. As a paying customer, I expect a welcoming environment where I can enjoy my workout and unwind. Unfortunately, I encountered a situation where it seemed that the staff were more inclined to act as if they were doing me a favor by allowing me to train there, rather than providing the service I am paying for. I’d also like to mention that while I don't intend to generalize about all employees, I found that the staff member at the reception on Wednesdays, who works until 11 PM, appeared to have a particularly unwelcoming demeanor. It created an atmosphere that was not conducive to a positive workout experience. I hope that management can address these concerns, as I believe that with the right approach, this location has the potential to provide an excellent experience that matches the quality of the other gyms in Dublin.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever. Although the official website offered a free trial period, I was incorrectly informed that no such option exists. I visited this exact club and was met by the blonde, short guy.

West Wood Club

We do have a free trial. Which club did you visit?

Thiago Kovalski 11 months ago

Negative experience: Terrible experience, they sent me 1000 emails offering 1001 services, the day I went to the gym I was very well attended, on the second day when I started training there was not a single personal trainer on the field to give instructions, when I went to do the personal training service that they offer “free” for the year, he could not set up the workout the way I wanted, claiming that I could not do workout a, b, c, because the management understands this as a personalized workout and he could only set up a basic workout. The sauna and bathroom stink like rot, there is no type of air freshener or frequent cleaning maintenance since it is a place for people to clean themselves and the sauna is a place that is made for sweating. when I went on the fourth day to cancel my trial plan, no one answered my emails anymore, the guy who made my plan when he saw me slammed the door... I am still waiting for an email from the management to cancel my plan and get a refund, otherwise I will seek legal support if necessary with a claim for compensation.

Nicolas Batista 11 months ago

Negative experience: Unfortunately, a very bad experience. I went to find out about membership, I was already confronted with a physical and clothing analysis by reception, then after the visit it was time for the prices. After a complete explanation of the prices and to my great astonishment after knowing that the registration fees were 650€ plus current I was “kindly” invited to register with FlyFit because perhaps more in my “BUDGET »… So unfortunately for the seller in question I am Swiss and I have frequented the most luxurious gyms in Europe as well as for example the chain: Holmes Place and suffice to say that WestWood is VERY far from the quality of this kind of clubs... Then I was treated to one I thought of my watch... with the implication "How can this person have this watch?" » ...this is the image of still having this kind of prejudice these days and know dear sir that I have the means to join this club that I am just smarter and I am careful where I spend my money… and not to mention the feeling of being judged… a horrible feeling… I am a manager in the 5* luxury hotel sector and I might as well tell you that this kind of discrimination these days can have very serious repercussions …

Negative experience: ***Read this review carefully before joining Westwood Aston Quay *** Completely my fault for choosing Westwood Aston Quay even after reading so many bad reviews. At the time of joining, they pretend to make you a priority and make you feel valued. But you will see the difference the moment you pay the ridiculous joining fee. They are either not aware about the rules they are talking about or they are just simply unprofessional people. I was told that with off peak membership you get one time exception for being late a month. It was confirmed later on again at the reception when I was once in an entire month late by 5 mins. Next month, I was late once by 7 mins as per their rule it was supposed to be ok. But Yasmin was there, extremely unprofessional and incredibly arrogant at the same time, she mentioned that one time exception is not a month but for your total tenure with the gym. Anyone reading this would understand how stupid that sounds. When asked about this she didn't had any knowledge, so after being fed up by their "service", I asked about the cancellation policy, when Yasmin responded " Are you gonna interrupt me or are you gonna let me finish?". I didn't say a word cause never met such unprofessional people working in any gym. I left just after asking her name and not saying a word cause it's not worth it to have a conversation with such ignorant people. Anyway, never gonna visit this gym ever again nor would recommend it to anyone.

Negative experience: Really bad service. My husband just moved to Dublin and wanted to start the gym to adapt and applied for the free trial and the guy (sales person) denied the free pass because my husband was using my number (it’s oblivious he just moved yesterday to Ireland). My husband was so excited and he was told he couldn’t apply for the free trial. Now, because is the bad experience, I’ll change gym… this is my last month because it’s being paid already. I liked the Westwood but not anymore!

Mart Vinegar 1 year ago

Negative experience: Way overpriced, especially since the gym provides sub-par equipment for training, and outside of clontarf the maintenance is also terrible. And the policy of taking your money two months after the cancellation of the membership is also shameless. Don't go to Aston Quay.

Hallan Schetini 1 year ago

Negative experience: I was not allowed to get in the gym by Maria the receptionist today, she didn’t even care to check my situation and ignored and was laughing with her friends while I had myself to ring clontarf unit and ask them to take a look in my situation and they and a staff in aston quay called Yasmin sorted my issue in 5 seconds literally together with clontarf Sam. Thanks Maria, I got just 25min left to work out! The customer service in aston quay will never change?

Negative experience: I previously paid 50 euros to join, which I felt was already a stretch. Recently, I was asked to pay a fee of 200 euros, purportedly discounted from 650 euros. A salesperson, presumably Polish, insisted this was a bargain, especially since the fee would supposedly increase to 349 euros the very next day, a bank holiday, due to an email notification received on that day, what a coincidence. Given these experiences, I am thoroughly disappointed and cannot recommend this gym chain at all.

Mert Bernardeschi 1 year ago

Positive experience: A friend named Rogerio works here. I have never seen a man who gives such thrash warnings, who breaks motivation and concentration, who is strange and unpredictable. The whole pt staff seems to have great knowledge anyway but they are just wandering around. I have yet to see them show a method, spotting to someone needs or help a single person without getting specifically paid. Sometimes underage kids come and perform the workouts incorrectly, but they don't even help them to avoid getting injured. Instead, they interfere with the training of people who obviously won't cause any trouble and whose sole purpose is to train. The management needs to deal with this issue. Apart from that, it is a gym that will meet expectations, but more serious steps should be taken regarding the hygiene of the changing rooms.

Negative experience: This morning I took advantage of my free second day and I really wanted to buy a yearly membership, but after this morning's events I will hold off. I showed up at the gym at 6 a.m. to use the swimming pool and steam bath (the sauna doesn't heat well), after 5 minutes in the steam bath I went to the swimming pool, after 20 minutes I wanted to use the steam bath again to regenerate and sweat out all the heavy metals and toxins from the body, but one girl probably Nicole, turned off and washed it. After 15 minutes, when the steam room was clean and dry, it still wasn't turned on, so I went to the reception and told the guy that the steam room was already dry and clean and that girl, probably forgot to turn it on. The guy called Nicole's name over the walkie-talkie and I think he told her to turn on the bath back. After another 20 minutes it was still off. When I left the gym after an hour, the steam room was still open and not turned on. People come in the morning to freshen up and relax in the steam bath, swimming pool and sauna.. 7:30 a.m. This is not the right time to clean them. Why don't you do it half an hour before closing time? Moreover, the showers stank and there were pubic hairs on the doors, it was disgusting! Moreover, I noticed that no one uses swimming caps there, only me and one lady out of 10 people! Besides, this is Dublin, not Rio de Janeiro. Too many aggressive Brazilians who think it's their own gym! And finally... Price! The most expensive gym in Ireland but also probably the dirtiest... I won't go back there, disgusting experience!!

Fernando Rodriguez 1 year ago

Negative experience: The gym is falling apart. Furniture has not been improved in the last 15 years and has not given proper maintenance. Many walls are broken and patched with wood in men toilets. The sauna is more like a room with central heating, don't expect a proper wooden sauna room, it is more like a room with some wood. Is just not consistency between Westwood gyms; some are great and some are in very bad state. It just does not worth the price, they should pay us to go to the temple bar gym as it's in very bad conditions.

Negative experience: Today I went to West Wood at Temple Bar to try it out and honestly I was surprised how bad it was. It’s very old and small. There are no door handles in several places including sauna which is actually dangerous because of glass door. Both sauna and steam room have unpleasant smell, sauna has dirty radiators and weird lighting. Wouldn’t come back even for free.

Negative experience: I was considering switching to this gym from my old one and found 4 day trial advertised on their website. A great opportunity to check out the facilities before making up my mind. I’ve registered and received initial email from Niamh , requested my trial dates but no response. Called the sales / no response , called reception and the guy said the sales team is at some training and will get back to me early next week. Took my details and still nothing.

Positive experience: Update July 2023: To be fair, they have now updated the equipment referenced below so updating from 1 star to 3. The issue of mouldy showers and dirty changing rooms with smell of sewerage (men’s anyway) is still an issue. Hope they keep improving Sad to see a once top class gym so rundown. Perpetually broken equipment, out of order changing rooms for years, cancellation of classes (e.g. no sign of the Trip live or virtual in months), mouldy showers, sewer smell throughout. All of the above mentioned numerous times to staff but nothing done. Seems like they’ve just stopped maintaining it. A pity.

Negative experience: Compared to all the other Westwood Clubs, Aston Quay is definitely the ugly duckling. To be fare, the staff are great, the receptionist have gotten better of at least saying "hi" or "good morning." The facilities and equipment are average, and no advanced equipment like skierg or airbikes. Not even one lateral pull down cable machine. The rules in the pool and sauna area are non-existent. Photo shoots, jumping and diving, no swimming caps, questionable behaviors in the steam room. The idea of relaxing does not exist here. The gym is used by the local hotel guests. Great for them, not for members. Update: The pool area has gotten even worse. Swim at your own risk.

Negative experience: very untidy place. The cleanliness in the bathrooms is very bad and you will never find shampoo. They close the gym an hour in advance and give no information. Don't be fooled by its looks, it's a ridiculous place.

Negative experience: The gym is of mediocre quality and clearly overpriced. Tried to use the gym a week ago and was told I can get in for 50 euros as a day pass. Showed up a week later and was told it’s not possible because you need a member with you and then pay 50 to get in. Was very happy to instead use one of the flyfit gyms within a 4 min walk—was only 14 euros and similar equipment. Definitely happy not to ever go back to Westwood after this experience. Good for flyfit, bad for Westwood…

Negative experience: Nothing special about the facilities, excepting the huge fees they apply to register, as well the monthly ones. 600 Euro to join plus 90 Euro per month for a club where you're not let to access the facility with one hour before closure??? Seriously? Whoever wants to join this, please note that you have many other better and cheaper options in the city!

Guilherme Zogbi 2 years ago

Positive experience: Much better gym now after the renovation but it’s still lacking some machinery compared to other units

Diana Popa 2 years ago

Negative experience: If you want to join look into other gym. To expensive and busy. I joined last year and when i took a 3 month break I gave them a 2 month notice and still had to pay another month. They have a 30 days policy. If you don’t give them a 30 days notice they will ask you to pay for another month even though you’re not using the facilities. It is super expensive to join. I paid 175 fee when i joined. Because I joined with my friend. Which is not okay. Now I want to cancel my membership and i have to pay for 1 more month due to the fact I did not give them a 30 days notice. You can find cheaper gyms with the same facilities. I will definitely tell everyone I know not to join.

Negative experience: a gym at the end of its life, the place really needs a revamp, its in a bad way. looks to have been class at some stage but its in a mess now. I wont be signing up after my trial, its a pity because its in a great spot and you cant find many pools in Dublin city!

Negative experience: So disgusting to see guys keep using the hairdryer to dry their flipflops, feet and underwear. I have reported this to the reception few weeks ago and still no message or banner in the gents locker room. Post this and see how long does it take for the management actions on it.

Fantastic experience: Really lovely gym. It's the best place to recover after a night out. Day pass gets you pool and gym access. Best €35 spent Thanks so much to the team

Negative experience: The trainers don't honour their word and scam people out of money. Be very careful, one of them (Hubert) makes excuse after excuse to not refund money for services he didn't provide after saying he would refund it. Go elsewhere!

Negative experience: It was no good, to be honest. The showers in the lady's room smell bad. In the pool, where there were long hairs on the water, and no one used a cap, l couldn't do my swimming exercise because the staff told me they didn't have equipment. l tried to do swimming lines, and teens were playing and fighting in the pool and almost hit me, and l am pregnant. I will look for another branch. I was in Lepertoown, and it was terrific; for work, l needed to go to town, but it wasn't as good as Lepertoown.

Negative experience: EDIT: My things were found after a week which is great as I had some valuable stuff there but I will not be going back to this gym for the fact that I am afraid of leaving my work laptop in one of those lockers with secrets which I dont believe are super safe. After two weeks on this gym everything I had on my locker disappeared. Lockers are not reliable, they use a combination type locking system which is totally managed by them, however, they are not responsible for your items that you locked using their locking system The gym is also always packed, I went there as early as 6am and as late as 9pm and I always had to wait to use certain machines. In summary, always packed and a high chance of losing your things all that for €90 a month so if I were you I would spend a bit more on a better gym.

Negative experience: this was an absolute gem of a gym a few years back, its gone really bad, the place needs to be completely refurbished. its it a prime location and its wonderful to have access to a pool, sauna, steam room in the city but the place is ragged. To pictures of the pool do not show it as it is today!!! I'd pay a few Euro more on my membership if they restore it to its original glory for those of us who work in the city again. giving 2 stars for location in the hope its refurbished.

Negative experience: Trial is actually a scam. I paid the registration fee 90 euro and did not even use my subscription but change my mind after two days(while I was using the trial of 4 days advertised) and apparently the money is non refundable and set the direct debit for the next month which can’t be cancelled apparently. Not a nice experience.

Negative experience: Decent gym but 35 euro for a day pass is straight up theft. Especially when your staying at a hotel that is supposed to get you in for the day for free.

Negative experience: It's the WORST WESTWOOD CLUB gym ever. It's a mistake, it shouldn't even exist and it doesn't worth the money, it is always full of people and there are no enough equipment for everybody. just horrible.

Matthew M. Gonzales 2 years ago

Negative experience: I'm changing my review to a two-star as they are improving the equipment on the main floor. The construction seems to be complete, but the cleanliness of the place is still questionable. There are no rules enforced in the pool / sauna / steam room areas and the cleanliness in the men's dressing rooms could be much better. Staff are good, but not much basic courtesy of welcoming guests like in other clubs. All and all it's improving slightly but could be much better for the cost.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, decent in terms of equipment; but it was sooo warm inside. Just sitting around would cause a good sweat. Also; bring a padlock if you want to use a locker.

Meribeth Vargas 2 years ago

Positive experience: I consider that it is a very expensive gym for the conditions and number of exercise machines, it really keeps very busy, sometimes you have to wait to work out, I think the spa and pool are good at least in the headquarters aston quay

XStark1ll3rX 2 years ago

Negative experience: visited while staying at the morgan hotel. Was very busy but expected with its location. The Gym was very well equip with a great range of machines. All well kept aswell bat the 5-10 not working. The Pool are is brilliant. Ample changing facilities with free lockers and the pool are is very atmospheric. Like swimming in a cave pool haha. However my experience was let down by a very rude and abrupt women (staff) who made it her mission to single me out. Having rest, comes up to me in pool "you need a swimming cap to be in here". I answered "oh my apologies i didn't know as its my first time using the pool". "Well they are signs everywhere so could you get out if you dont have one??". Then stormed off, didnt get a name but blonde women in a suit. I looked for these so called signs and the only one i found was inside the pool area, next to pool. As i need glasses, i could not see this as i had taken them off. How am i supposed to know if no one tells me, provides one or there is not a single sign anywhere bar the one i found. Non on stairs, changing rooms or anywhere else. Completely ruined my time exercising. unsure if it was cus i was the only english person in there but others didnt wear one and nothing was said...

Negative experience: I was here yesterday on my 4 day trial, was told 50euro to join! Went in today to join and the guy was so rude and trying to charge me 650 euro stop for a gym under construction and some machines broken, not to mention telling me about people been sacked from another one of there gyms (GPR Broken) I decided I'd rader not join, not to mention the dirt and smell from the lady's toilets and the place is under construction

Negative experience: Westwood customer service in Aston Quay is disgraceful. I train in Westwood for 7 year and it never changed or had any improvement. Specially in the reception. Rude and careless staffs through these 7 years. In clontarf they are all friendly and you feel always welcomed. I most go to the clontarf. Aston Quay I just go when is handy but is always a bad experience with them when some help is needed.

Positive experience: Good gym but really needs to be refurbished. The facilities are good but the pool area is very run down, always smells a bit like mold. The sign up process seems a bit strange - it was originally a £600 joining fee which was reduced to less than 100 when my partner mentioned that he hadn’t had to pay it. Seems a little strange. Obviously 89 euros a month isn’t 89 a month if you had to pay 600 to join. The gym itself is great with a dark vibe which can be nice. There’s never a really crowded feeling here. I also visited the Sandymount location (you can use all their gyms at this rate) and it was much nicer with an amazing pool and spa area. Just wish it was a bit closer to me!

Vanessa Santos 2 years ago

Negative experience: The changing rooms and sauna are smelly and for YEARS this issue is not fixed, and it is frequently floaded. There is no flexibility if you go on holidays, they either charge you a full month or you pay 10 euro to hold your membership for a month. But that will be always from day 1 to 30. That is it. Ridiculous at least. It is rare to find staff on the gym floor. Classes are ok and equipments ok, but it could have more maintenance for safety. Staff is normally friendly unless you need something from reception.

Negative experience: I’ve been member of this gym for 7 months and the only good thing is location but I find it extremely filthy, the pool area is disgusting the ceiling is pealing off and the changing rooms smell terrible, every time I find more machines broken. Hopefully it can improve soon

Yasko 2 years ago

Negative experience: This is one of most expensive gym in Ireland but there is nothing working properly. Also so dirty changing rooms. They don’t even care for anything. It is not hard to fix one machine in 6 months. I am gonna share my experiences about this gym on my social media

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing gym in Dublin. The energy, atmosphere the place are pretty good. If you like a beautiful and inspirational place to do your workout, it's a good option!

Cesar Augusto Bachega 2 years ago

Negative experience: It’s 3 years I’ve been working out at this place and for the last year the conditions have gone really bad. When complaining yesterday with the manager, she apologized and said she couldn’t do much. I asked for a refund or partially of my money back and she said that it is not possible. There are promises of renovations, but nothing concrete or that we can trust. The toilets were supposed to be in renovations for 2 or 3 weeks and are ‘under maintenance’ for the last 6 months at least. Unfortunately you pay for a service, but do not get it. Machines have been broken for the last 6 months and nothing is done. The worst of all is the attitude of ‘it is what it is and there’s nothing that could be done at the moment’ which means you are throwing your money away. If you are to enroll in this place you do not need to pay the enrollment fee. Say it’s too expensive and you are going to look for another gym, they will lower it as much as €50. I paid the full fee which was 600€ at that time and a friend who I referred paid only 50€. The unfair treatment starts at the enrollment. I am posting pictures of the broken machines today, 20/01/2023. The treadmill is in that situation since August/22. Others from at least September and absolutely nothing has been done.

Negative experience: truly luxury establishment in addition to this the place smells like a public bathroom, waste of money

Pelle Flodin 2 years ago

Negative experience: Been a member here for a few months, the location in temple bar. The gym itself is alright, quite old equipment for paying €89. The bathrooms and showers are absolutely disgusting, the showers smell like they haven’t been cleaned in years. Accidentally touched the shower wall the other day and it was slimy, like touching a frog. The pool is nasty and the pool ceiling is peeling off. The whole basement is infected with mold which doesn’t make the situation better. The sauna is big and warm, however the floor has not been cleaned in years (don’t shine a light on it), and it smells really bad. It’s insane that a gym with this price does not seem to have cleaning schedules, maintenance or at least a spray for the smell. I am probably cancelling my membership next month.

Alex L 2 years ago

Negative experience: It's a shame to pay 90€ a month for these services... half of the machines don't work anymore and some of them for more than two months! The cleanliness is also to be reviewed. And there are often so many people that you sometimes have to queue to use a machine.
