Blessington Playground: Opinions
Negative experience: In good weather there is no place for small children. Everything is filled with teenagers of 10-13 years old. Who play football and litter!
Fantastic experience: Great for adults to also go on equipment beside the playground
Negative experience: The playground itself is good. However, a lot of teenagers hang around the playground and skatepark. There can be a bit of antisocial behavior and a lot of rubbish is thrown on the ground (mostly energy drinks, crisps, sweets and ice cream wrappers from Aldi and disposable vapes). I've stopped bringing my kids here. Eadestown GAA playground or Russborough House are better alternatives.
Negative experience: Great until the secondary school kids come to smoke and take over at 16:20. We had to stop coming here.
Negative experience: It's really the only playground in Blessington. However it's regularly a hotspot for anti social behaviour. Groups of bigger kids, 12-14 commandeer certain areas and shout and swear, intimidating younger kids and parents. Obvious signs of vandalism as well. Pity it's effectively been ruined and is in poor repair. Would recommend going elsewhere especially if you drive!
Positive experience: Good playground.. needs some upkeep but overall good.
Fantastic experience: Great place to come with kids and have them have fun in safe environment. Have for all ages what to do with enough space for adults to keep an eye on them and keep the safe distance
Fantastic experience: Lovely place for the kids
Fantastic experience: Super place
Positive experience: Just a little playground for kids, enough to keep them occupied for a while. Recently added a few outdoor fitness machines for people who prefer a gym outside.
Positive experience: Its a nice park but nothing special. If you have the time do your self a favour and drive five minutes more down the road to Russboro house. Two quid for parking but a great park at the back of the house and so much more to see and do.
