Fantastic experience: Was over in Galway on holiday and thought id give this place a look!! Got to say im so glad i did!!! Fantastic trails especially the red track and the green one is fast and flowing! Didn't hire a bike as i took my own.. Bumped into the guy i think owns the spot while i was flying down the red section as him and his son were doing some work on the track! Didn't really have time to say anything apart from hello but id like to say a big thank you because its a fantastic place and the work they have done is of a very high standard!! Probably the best riding ive ever done! If you are anywhere near the area please give it go you won't be disappointed.. The views are picture postcard stuff..

Fantastic experience: Overall great! Trail varied, technically a little challenging in places, but a lot of fun and beautiful views over Lough Corrib too. The bikes are new (2022) and very good quality. Owner is very friendly. There is a toilet and a shower available too at the bike hire location if you get a bit mucky on the trail.

Negative experience: Called a day beforehand to check if rental was possible as it's the off season. Were promised it's fine just needed to give a call in the morning to confirm the time but shouldn't be an issue. Did not pick up the phone at all after numerous tries and then when we showed up to check, were refused to rent a bike even though they promised. Not even apologetic in the slightest way either or trying to find a solution. Honestly absolutely shocked with how rude the lady was and ruined a fun day out. Don't make empty promises.

Fantastic experience: Such a beautiful place! Hubby really enjoyed biking while the rest of us enjoyed the views of the lake, mountains, and sheep while hiking. The bike was really nice, the owner was kind and helpful, and she has a tiny lodge for resting after, with a bathroom, shower, coffee, tea, and beer. My kids enjoyed playing with her sheepdogs. Very reasonably priced and fun outing.

Fantastic experience: The bike's provided are Trek Marlin 7 which are the new 2022 model in great condition and suitable for the trail conditions. The car park is secure and the owner has a wooden hut which includes complimentary Barry's tea and coffee plus there is a toilet and shower facilities. The day we were there she also provided some delicious fresh cinnamon roles. The trail itself is very good and has some marvellous views at the top. It starts off going up hill (total elevation climb is around 250m) up some rocky terrain and the second half is mainly downhill and is much smoother. I did the trail twice which took around one hour and ten minutes each time.

Fantastic experience: Owner was fabulous and very nice. Bikes were on par on rentals from the states at this price point. My FS rental has a bit of a shifting problem on the start but a simple two turns on the adjustment we were on our way. Please note this is a bike rental not a bike shop so know how to adjust your seat fir your riding height. Trail was rocky with water so plan on getting a bit wet. Recommend extra socks and shoes for after ride. Trail was super fun. I’d call it intermediate to easy but the views and the jaunts through the green forest were too fun. I’d consider myself expert level as a bike about 2000 miles on mtb trails each year in the states. This ride places up in my top 10 just because it’s exactly what I wanted in a mtb ride in Ireland. Sheep moss rocks and views. Owner was super nice and very friendly. Even gave us some tea and fresh cookies on our post ride celebration.

Negative experience: Very poor quality bikes. Very disappointed, offered a refund which turned out to be less than half!!! Bikes need serious servicing. Trail varied challenging and good.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic place, not only for biking but simply for hiking. The track is 17km long altogether so it makes for a hell of a day out. I recommend the place to anyone who likes to spend time outdoors. There are fabulous views of the Connemara mountains and it is a must for anyone who wants to experience wild Ireland.
