Fantastic experience: Fantastic peaceful location. Stunning views.

Fantastic experience: We had a great day on the river with Jim, our group all enjoyed every minute particularly with the amazing weather showing Galway in all its glory. I dropped my sunglasses in the harbour as we were setting off, and Jim went above and beyond the call of duty when he called us the following morning to surprise me by returning them after going back with a boat after we finished and searching in the muddy water till he found them. Can’t say enough good things, thoroughly recommend everyone tries it if visiting the city and have a couple of free hours.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this experience enough. Jim was everything you would want in a guide/operator - funny, friendly, welcoming, confident, knowledgeable, considerate and incredibly experienced. My son and niece both needed a bit of tow at different moments and Jim effortlessly helped them out. The views were beautiful and Jim supplied the gear we needed (we came from Canada). I have already recommended this to people we know and will absolutely book again next time we are in Galway. It was a highlight of our time in Galway. Our group included ages 11-47 and beginner/ intermediate kayakers.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Jim and Kayakmor, taking a 5 km excursion into Lough Corrib. He personalized the expereince and gave us all of the tips we needed to know to enjoy the afternoon. Of course he had great knowledge of the lake and river and of the surrounding area.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic kayak tour operator. This is my second trip with Kayakmór; first one was near Cong / Ashford Castle with my family, and the second one an exploratory tour from Ross Lake to Ballyquirke Lake with friends. Even if you are familiar with the location, looking at it from the water offers a unique viewpoint… Jim is a super guide - very thorough from the start in prep and safety, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area you get to see during the trip. Kayakmór suits all levels. Would highly recommend Kayakmór and can’t wait for the next trip!

I booked with him 2 days before I decided extend my staying in Galway and I was looking for desperately some company which could offer me a kayaking tour once I still a beginner. Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience to see Galway from a different angle! We had a great time with the kayaks along the Corrib river and its Lough. Jim was very professional, patient and funny. We were in a group where a kid had never kayaked and it went flawlessly. If you want to spot some wild life I suggest you go at dusk, we took the morning tour and mostly spotted segulls, ducks, blue cute butterflies and grey herons. I totally recommend this activity!

Fantastic experience: A beautiful place to feed the local wildfowl. It is a charming walk with a spectacular sunset. It would be much improved if the sinking and decrepit boats were removed from the pier.

Fantastic experience: Really is an amenity that needs to be developed. You could have such fantastic walks along it. Beautiful location on the bank of the river Corrib. You need to hop over a farmers gate, but not to worry as it's on local grounds... open to all.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic day on the water with the Kayakmór crew - really professional set-up, great kayaks and equipment and comprehensive training before getting on the water. We were a group of 15 and everyone had a blast. The location is perfect, just outside the city but feels like wilderness, and you get a real sense of the Galway/Connemara landscape when out on the lake. Big thanks to Jim, Colm and Ultan!
