Fantastic experience: Having three small kids and little time to dedicate to fitness I found it hard to get into any sort of routine with training. I had joined other local gyms and found myself not improving in terms of strength and fitness. I have been going to David for over one year now. Not only have I become fitter and stronger but I have found a lovely group of like minded now friends to train with. David really cares that you are enjoying your sessions and before you know it you’re doing body weight pull ups and eating protein shakes. He deserves every new client and success he has . The only problem is the secret is out !

Fantastic experience: Having recently joined Donnybrook Performance, I’ve noticed a big improvement in my strength. The small group sizes ensure supervision of technique – especially great being a beginner at lifting weights! Fantastic experience: I would 100 percent recommend David in DP. I started going around 6 weeks ago and absolutely love everything about the gym , the classes and the people. I already feel so much stronger. David is so knowledgable , approachable and genuinely a lovely person. The classes are so enjoyable and encouraging. What I love most is how personable David is and how he really challenges everyone individually. The atmosphere in the gym is so nice. David goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is set up to succeed by sending nutrition tips and information which I find really helpful. I am so glad I joined and wish I had done it sooner.

Fantastic experience: Six weeks training now and feeling great! David is a super trainer , creating a welcoming environment and passionate in what he does. Lots of motivation and encouragement given along with supervision of technique in small group sessions and he can subtly push you to the next level! I highly recommend DP!
Fantastic experience: 10/10! I spent a month in Dublin, and had 3 training sessions a week in small groups- easily one of the best decisions I’ve made during my stay! I loved the central location, the view, the flexibility in case my plans changed, and of course the sessions. I found the groups to be lovely, and was made to feel right at home. I started noticing a difference in strength after 2 weeks, and I’ve been able to push myself more than I knew I was capable of. Last but not least- David isn’t just a knowledgeable trainer with a lot of patience- he is also able to motivate under difficult circumstances- for example, during chin pull ups. I’ll be back, next trip!
Fantastic experience: Before I started at Donnybrook Performance, training in the morning wasn’t what I had in mind however it’s been brilliant, I’ve found myself having much more energy throughout the day after the morning gym sessions. I’m a few weeks training with David and it has been exactly what I needed. David is very approachable and is pushing me to reach my goals. Fantastic experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars!!!! I’m really loving the resistance training sessions with David at Donnybrook Performance. David is so knowledgeable, adapts all workouts for each person in the small group, knows when to push you to do more and is incredibly nice! The 45 minute class flies by, it’s so easy to book on the app, every session is different and all the other clients are fab. David has amazing nutrition tips too. As a busy mum I’ve really noticed my energy levels have easily doubled, and some very persistent back pain has faded away- my only regret is not starting sooner!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic experience: David at Donnybrook performance is an excellent trainer. He knows how to push each individual client to their limits. The atmosphere in the gym is super and friendly. David is approachable, positive and encouraging. The format of 4 clients works well as David tailors the work outs to each persons ability. The timetable is flexible and You can choose to go twice, three times or more a week. I now look forward to my work outs and feel so much better and stronger as a result. Fantastic experience: Into my 60’s, bad osteopenia diagnosis and a couple of years of serious injury resulting in noticeable muscle wastage. I knew urgent action was required to halt this negative trajectory but I lack discipline and can’t bear gyms. A friend recommended David and I haven’t looked back. In just a few months the change has been transformative, I am feeling so much stronger and more robust. I know others have said it but it really is true. David (and Daragh) have created the most inclusive and supportive yet fun environment you could find in a gym. Lots of banter but never at the expense of the work! You are challenged in a controlled, incremental manner so you always feel like you are winning and every PB is celebrated whatever level you’re at. Fantastic experience: I've been going to David in Donnybrook Performance for over 2 years now, initially after a hip replacement. The training is excellent, with small group sizes and the atmosphere is really nice and friendly. The age range is very broad.

Fantastic experience: I usually hate gyms and rarely stick with them! I started with David two months ago and that fact that I am still attending speaks for itself. He is incredibly motivating & very helpful. The format works very well, with two to three others in the same session - there is a nice atmosphere and the sessions fly by. I notice a huge improvement in strength and flexibility and would highly recommend Donnybrook Performance.

Fantastic experience: I've had several PTs over the last decade, and David outstrips them all. He's the most passionate and professional trainer I've met. I hate the gym, but David's sessions are different. He encourages you, progresses you, and you'll never feel self conscious. The chats and easy going atmosphere make the gym a really welcoming environment and that's down to David. Even on the days when I'm stressed, I leave feeling lighter, having worked it all out in the gym. Since I've begun training with David 6 months ago, I'm feeling fitter and stronger at 42 than I ever have. And when your clothes fit better than they have in years, you know you're on the right track. Big fan, five stars all the way.

From someone who doesn’t love the gym, the 45 minutes fly by and you feel like you have achieved a lot by the end of the session. David is really encouraging no matter what your fitness level is and 4 to a class is a perfect size. Looking forward to continuing with David and seeing the results over the next few months!
Fantastic experience: I started working with David in early January of 2020. At the time, I was the heaviest I’d ever been and in a bit of a rut. I met with David and he outlined a plan for myself for the next 12 weeks. The plan included a gym program along with getting eating habits corrected by tracking calories. In the first 12 weeks I faced a few obstacles with injuries to my back and knee, however I still managed to lose 4.5kg. In this time David’s help was amazing, daily reminders to log food and sending interesting articles and infographics regarding eating and exercising. The exercise programs were both easy to follow and challenging at the same time, with lots of variance. In the next 10 weeks, with no injuries and huge emphasis on importance of a calorie deficit, I now am just over 13kg lighter than when I started with David. Working with David for the last 3 years has simply been a pleasure, he has been so helpful and personable, and my results are all because of his guidance and knowledge.

The sessions are challenging but the atmosphere is always fun and friendly. The group training is great, all levels are catered for so you never feel out of your depth. Fantastic experience: Since my last gym moved, I was very particular about where and who I’d start my new journey with. On top of this, I travel quite a bit for work and my personal life so I know I need more accountability, especially around fitness and exercise. I struggle to push myself go to the regular gym on my own accord (I never really know what I’m doing) and struggle to try new exercises and push myself (in fear of injury). Donnybrook Performance had exactly everything I needed - small and friendly strength and conditioning sessions led by Dave which helps with accountability, creates a safe environment to push myself and also it’s quite fun to see your progression week to week where you can both celebrate your wins. Dave is always only a message away - if I ever have questions about fitness or in general - he’s always happy to answer. If you’re looking to work on your strength and fitness in a safe space while creating routine and having that accountability aspect, I would highly recommend Donnybrook Performance.

I feel I can challenge myself with Dave much more than I would in a gym setting on my own. Everything is planned and ready. I’ve seen major changes in my weight and strength. Fantastic experience: I feel very lucky indeed to have been introduced to David and Donnybrook Performance (DP) a few months ago. It had become clear to me at the time that I needed to do some strength and conditioning work in order to stay fit, healthy and reduce my risk of developing sarcopenia and osteoporosis. However, I had absolutely no idea what I should be doing and simply wasn’t finding the time to fit an exercise programme into my daily routine. I suspect that like many people, I lacked both the experience and knowledge to proceed on my own. Immediately after I joined, I knew I was on the right track. David is a very motivational trainer and has a unique ability to make what would otherwise be extremely difficult exercises easy and fun. The atmosphere the gym is always positive and relaxed. David is extremely professional and organised and somehow finds the time to provide each of his clients with excellent and well researched tips on nutrition and diet and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. His energy and enthusiasm are infectious. To be honest, the whole experience has been transformative for me. I would confidently say that all of us lucky enough to have joined would agree; expertly supervised training is the way forward. Fantastic experience: I joined about two months ago as I wanted to build my strength off the rugby pitch and I've immensely enjoyed my sessions with David in Donnybrook - the atmosphere is relaxed and yet great fun and very motivating. David doesn't just work with you in the gym, he regularly contacts you to check in on your nutrition, diet and daily step goals! I had never really done weights before, so was a little nervous about this but David helps you find your base very quickly and just works with you from there. Poff gives the best tips and tricks on all things nutrition including how to increase your protein intake - which I struggled with (not anymore!). Can’t recommend him enough, 5 stars don’t do Donnybrook Performance justice ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic experience: David is great at keeping you on your toes, consistent check ups and always driving you to work harder in classes! His group PT sessions are always tough but rewarding and I have seen great results thus far. Looking forward to smashing April and May before the Summer. Great community, Super PT and even better bloke!
Fantastic experience: It’s been a pleasure training with David at Donnybrook Performance. The atmosphere is really welcoming, always good chats and hard work. I look forward to my 3 sessions each week and David goes out of his way to check if there’s any additional support I need with nutrition or extra training. Recommended my wife to start training with DP also and she loves it too!
