It's very hard to build a club that's can both cater to absolute beginners, but still attract serious competitors, But they've somehow done it here!

Fantastic experience: Such a great gym. I walked into Ganbaru few months ago, 0 experience in martial arts and they made it so easy and welcoming for me. Trained here for only 2 months and unfortunately had to move up the country, I’ve went to 2 different bjj gyms up here and none compare to Ganbaru. Ganbaru has better teaching, longer classes and is cheaper than the others I’ve seen. Not to mention the great atmosphere in there. I wish to find a new gym near me like Ganbaru.

Fantastic experience: Would fully recommend to anyone interested in jiu jitsu, or anyone who has practiced already and is looking for a quality place to train. The instructors are professional, friendly and very patient. The same can be said for all other members, this really helps when you're a beginner. You've the option to train PAYG or monthly, so no pressure to commit to any contracts (unlike other places). If you want to train casually this is ideal. Or if you want to fully immerse yourself and even compete you can. Either way whatever your goals you'll be supported by a great bunch of instructors and training partners

Fantastic experience: Ganbaru had been intended to coincide with my fitness goals but ended up being a whole new family. It’s generally hard for women to integrate in a male dominated sport but with so much encouragement, equal opportunities, it had proved to be a club lead by professionals who always look out for your best. They all started as a white belt. It’s so important to keep encouraging women and girls into this intelligent martial art. Albeit the art of folding clothes while people are still in them , it has given me a huge boost in my confidence . I know I can defend myself while also learning humility. I am forever furthering my skills and really only at the beginning. The club is lead by incredible coaches who are always eager. I have also noticed this about all the higher belts. Nomatter the question there is always someone to answer. They are passionate but there is never any pressure on beginners. Please never hesitate to pop in. You will exercise your brain as well as your body and make the best of friends for life.

Fantastic experience: One of the best Martial Art Training facility centre in Waterford City, Republic of Ireland. Training include : MMA, Ganbaru JIU-JITSU Jitsu " Gi and No Gi", Amateur Wrestling and so on. Very active and interactive.

Fantastic experience: I went to the women's Saturday class at Ganbaru. It was so welcoming from the second I walked in. I am a woman in her 30s and starting off a new sport like learning jiu-jitsu can be a bit intimidating but it was the opposite. The coaches were excellent and made everything really clear. They even made me want to join the fundamentals class with a bigger group. Highly recommend Ganbaru to any women who want to start jiu-jitsu.

The main coaches Richie Bolger and Kevin Arrigan are brilliant at breaking down seemingly complex Jiu Jitsu techniques into digestible pieces.
