Clybaun Hotel Galway

Fantastic experience: I came here with my husband, daughter, son and his wife and 2 adult daughters. We did not stay at the hotel. We had a Sunday Carvery lunch in the restaurant. The food was very delicious. The portions were huge and I was unable to finish my meal. I loved the ambiance of the dining area. We were seated in a little alcove right next to an atrium. My family enjoyed the meal and the experience.

Fantastic experience: Very nice hotel within minutes of Salthill promenade. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yes it is a bit pricey but what you pay for is what you get-excellent accomodation and service!

Positive experience: Room was very clean. The design of the bedrooms isn't anything to write home about, but they are clean. The whole interior could use a fresh coat of paint, and that would really help it look nice. The carpets should probably also be replaced every few years. Tons of parking and close to the city, about 10 minute drive. Staff are incredibly kind.

Fantastic experience: The conservatory was a nice spot to meet for coffee or lunch. They have a sensory cubbie for neurodivergent kids which I thought was a lovely idea.

Fantastic experience: Wir haben zwei Nächte im Rahmen unserer Irland-Rundreise in diesem Sommer im Clybaun Hotel Galway verbracht. Das Hotel war sehr neu saniert (vor allem die Bäder) und zweckmäßig gestaltet. Zum Schwimmbad nebenan (Sportverein) hatte man Zugang, was sehr praktisch war. Begeistert hat uns am Hotel aber vor allem der Service und der Staff an der Rezeption-extrem bemüht und freundlich. Wir hatten bei Abfahrt leider ein paar Kleidungsstücke und ein geliebtes Kuscheltier vergessen. Das Clybaun-Team hat uns nicht nur geholfen, diese zu finden, sondern hat alles auch verpackt, so dass wir Kuscheltier und Sachen durch Parcel2Go abholen lassen konnten. Heute kam alles wohlbehalten bei uns an. Herzlichen Dank @ Clybaun-Team, wir empfehlen euch sehr gern weiter!

Fantastic experience: Nos ha encantado, el personaluy simpático, el desayuno genial. La verdad es que merece la pena es un sitio para volver. En la recepción hay un chico español muy simpático.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I had a great time at the hotel. We appreciate you helping to book us all in, Sinead. The dinner was absolutely delicious, like a 5-star restaurant. Vitor, who was our waiter, was friendly and helpful. There weren't many employees at breakfast, and I finished my breakfast before getting my coffee. Additionally, I would have loved to visit the jacuzzi first thing in the morning, but it only opens at 11 a.m., which is quite late, and the checkout time is also at 11 a.m. Overall, it was a really nice stay.

Fantastic experience: Great location, plenty of car parking. Hotel has a gym, sauna and swimming pool. Staff here are excellent especially Edel and Siobhan, in the restaurant. Rooms are spacious, bright and clean. Rain showers in each bathroom. Will be back.

Fantastic experience: Always beautiful to stay here. Used to go to the pool with my granny as a child. Great memories in the hotel and NRG gym. Glad to see it’s just as fabulous now as it was then.

Positive experience: Ok ish hotel. Breakfast poor. Really really poor value. For the cost you would expect something special in a great location. This is neither. Avoid until they drop the price.

Positive experience: I go there for a drink in the evening, coffee occasionally in the morning, and Sunday dinner. Never disappointed, quality is always good. Atmosphere not electric,but who wants electric?

Fantastic experience: Gym was so interesting and different rooms. It's such a nice place. And the pool wow. The sauna and jacuzzi outside is ideal. This place is a treat to supplement into your weekly schedule. We had to ware masks which I wasn't happy with but not when we were working out or in the showers which was good.

Fantastic experience: Arrived on a busy Saturday 3 hours before check in opened. We were delightfully and unexpectedly accommodated for by reception who notified housekeeping and got us sorted as soon as possible. The hotel bar is cosy with a lovely pint too. Felt very covid safe with all the practices in place. Lovely pool and outdoor jacuzzi is a great touch, great location despite being only a a few Km outside of the city center as there is pubs and shops around this area too. Would stay again

Fantastic experience: I visited the clybaun for lunch recently and couldn't have had a better experience. Food & coffee were exceptionally tasty and staff were very friendly. The blonde receptionist with the bun was so helpful as well as I wasn't sure where to go I will definitely be back again 10/10

A big thank you to Breda she’s a lovely lady, went above and beyond for us, really good at her job Will definitely stay again, hopefully for Xmas markets this year.. well done, keep up the good work

Fantastic experience: Stayed here on Monday 20th September. We were meeting friends locally for dinner and on way out reported that we had no hot water,were told they would check it out. On our return we still had no hot water so rang reception,within a few minutes maintenance arrived and checked it out,they were un able to resolve the problem in our room so checked room next door which had hot water,they offered to change rooms but we had unpacked etc so they said that if we just wanted to use bathroom next morning that they would leave in robes and put keys under door so as not to disturb us. Over all our stay was great and cannot fault the rooms,the staff,the service the food. Would highly recommend the Clybaun. A very positive experience in these very difficult times.

Fantastic experience: Spacious large clean rooms with 2 doubles & 1 single bed. Ideal for families. Fabulous all you can eat breakfast and great choice of dishes to choose from for your evening meal while catering to all covid restrictions at all times.

Fantastic experience: Definately 5 star rating, everything about this hotel was great, the decor, the room, the cleanliness, the pool and outdoor tub , the staff, the food, especially the breakfast, the location, the added extras of robes slippers chocolates. I can not fault this hotel in anyway.

Had both breakfast & dinner which were top notch. From the moment I checked in up until I left, I was very impressed by the friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended & will definitely be staying in the clybaun hotel when I return to galway.

Fantastic experience: The staff are excellent in the Bistro Bar and always friendly. The hotel have everything in place so that Social Distancing can be observed. The food is excellent. We are regulars there every week.

Fantastic experience: We're regular guests at The Clybaun. Hotel always spotless, lovely food & great staff. It's quite close to Salthill. Easy to find and a great spot. My only one issue is that you have to go up/come down tiled steps from the ladies changing room. Overall highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Spacious & clean guest rooms. Delicious buffet breakfast and a fantastic onsite restaurant where we happily dined for two nights. Compliments to the chefs and the friendly wait staff. The location was great for the Galway Cup soccer with a ten minute drive but was also close enough for us to visit the promenade and aquarium.

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely amazing stay here.... I proposed to my girlfriend earlier that day and had organised with the staff to help make the evening even more special. They kindly upgraded our room and my fiancè was thrilled by all the little touches to make our arrival in the room special. All the staff were incredibly friendly and couldn't do enough to help! Thank you so much to all the staff you made our stay perfect!

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely stay here. Room was perfect, bed comfortable and bathroom spotless. The best part was two things: the gym was great- had more than you could want for a hotel gym. And the breakfast was excellent. I ordered room service and some particular items that weren’t specified on the menu, yet the staff were only happy to oblige and got my order absolutely spot on and without any difficulty. Thanks so much and you’ll be seeing me again next time I’m in Galway.
