ESPA Spa: Opinions
Fantastic experience: We had the most amazing spa experience in Powerscourt spa. I had the maternity massage and it was so relaxing. The food was delicious too. Would highly recommend
Positive experience: Treatment and therapist were fantastic - had a lovely massage, however, the booking process and communications re same were quite shambolic and there is a huge sense of disorganisation. In addition, my treatment time was moved so I could have a female therapist but then when I arrived, they tried to give me a male therapist again and as a result of all the faffing, the massage wasn’t a full hour. Finally, they gave me a champagne flavoured sorbet afterwards which is a very strange flavour choice for a wellness spa and even more bizarre for pregnant women - this was the only flavour they served and should be changed to something non alcoholic.
Positive experience: Just back from a luxury spa day at Powerscourt. I had a fantastic couple of hours of treatment with Fátima, the best I have ever experienced in this Spa and I've been there quite a few times. A few things that need attention from Management that made me drop a star in the review: Shower in Ladies thermal suite out of order. Broken handle on shower door downstairs. Hand rail to go in to ladies jacuzzi needs fixing as it wobbles when you out any weight on it. Twinkly lights on the ceiling in the ladies steam room not on. Peppermint tea was cold coming out of the tea urn in the morning. It was lovely and warm in the afternoon though. Nobody in the serenity room throughout the day to remake beds when guests were finished with them. People talking on phones and noticiations coming through in serenity room. Lunch service extremely slow. Male waiter didn't seem to understand some of the terms on the menu. I love this place and will definitely be back and I hope Management address the issues above. Many thanks
Fantastic experience: My two friends and I, indulged in a Spa day at Powerscourt Hotels ESPA, from the moment we arrived until we left it was pure bliss.. Welcomed by the lovely reception team and manager Kellie-ann.. we soon met our therapists for a facial and back neck and shoulder massage.. my therapist Elizabeth took great care and attention with my problem area in my shoulder, and the facial massage was just gorgeous... we then had use of the salt room, and the wave room which sent me to a far away slumber... I then moved into the relaxation room for a little snooze on the comfiest bed and soft blanket... waking up to the stunning woodland view's... I almost forgot to mention the delicious lunch/afternoon tea..it really was the best day.. I can't wait to book in again.. a top favourite for sure..
Positive experience: Ah it was okay. Don’t get me wrong, the staff are wonderful and the treatments are amazing but the 5 star standard is showing signs of slipping. There were out of order signs up all over the place, including the main pool jacuzzi, an upstairs ladies area shower, a ladies loo and something else, I can’t remember. There was also a broken handle in another shower and the ladies area sauna floor looked a little worn and grubby. Flickering bulbs in the too bright serenity room were a distraction, as were the folks who insisted on bringing their phones with them who didn’t silence their videos or notifications. Like wtf? It’s a spa. Stop for a minute. Don’t be afraid to be inside your own head for a little while. They should really insist on making that area phones free. The main area sauna and steam room were lovely though, great heat. The afternoon tea for lunch was nice, very tasty and filling, and a relaxing way to spend a hour or so. Especially with a sneaky glass of wine. Treatments were fab, and for these I would return - Fatima was a legend. Overall, I guess for the kind of money you’re putting down for a day package you expect a high standard and unfortunately they are falling short in some areas.
Fantastic experience: Best massage I've had in Ireland! I first went to Powerscourt ESPA using a voucher my husband gifted me and my 60 minute Swedish massage was so good, I booked myself in for another one with the same therapist the following month. Without a doubt, Allen is the best masseuse I have had in Ireland. As well as his kind and friendly manner, Allen is intuitive with his massage, combining soft touch and deep pressure when needed. Absolutely recommend! What I also love about Powerscourt ESPA is that along with the mixed pool and jacuzzi area downstairs, they also have separated male/female thermal suites upstairs (steamroom/sauna/jacuzzi) making for a quieter and even more relaxing visit!
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, lovely facial
Fantastic experience: Had the most amazing treatment today with Julianna from Portugal!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, the massages great (Georgina and Niall are worth a mention), afternoon tea was tasty, and the setting and value itself are just made for relaxation. Even on a busy bank holiday weekend, the Spa itself did not seem busy at all. I cant wait to go back
Positive experience: Daniela was absolutely amazing during my treatment. Really love experience. ⭐️ Beware they will charge you extra for a “midweek” package if it’s on a bank holiday which isn’t mentioned online anywhere or via email
Fantastic experience: Cant even begin to describe how lovely this spa is. Its serene, calm, beautiful, and comfortable. The staff are amazing, the service was incredible, and the pools, showers, sauna etc were all soooo so wonderful. Cant recommend enough. The facial and massage were really fantastic. Shout out to the staff too, they could not have been better. Thank you!! :)
Negative experience: No way near it. ???
Positive experience: Beautiful spa, but it could do with some upgrades as it ages.
Fantastic experience: Had the most amazing treatment today with Julianna from Portugal!
Negative experience: Dim, dirty and outdated. Booked spa treatments 6 weeks in advance because of such high demand. The facilities are outdated and dirty. Towels are stocked and tea is available but the floors are filthy and doors have hand/oil smudges on them. Treatments are v pricy. I will drive further afield for my next spa.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities, therapist and experience. Everything is high quality
Fantastic experience: The best spa experience Iv ever had . We added on the lunch and was perfect . Couldn’t rate the therapists any higher they are outstanding.
Fantastic experience: Great service, great staff. Nice place for a break. Spa experience is very professional. Afternoon tea in the spa cafe is served with good quality.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience. Very friendly and professional staff. Facilities are modern and clean.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing! Was my birthday and the staff made it extra special.

Fantastic experience: Amazing spa.
Fantastic experience: Super
Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful time in ESPA during the week, very warm welcome, followed by the tour of the SPA and all its facilities. The place is spotless, all essential oil lotions & soaps are delightful. Hamman suit is just the cherry on the top of the cake. I got Inner Calm Massage by I think a Brazilian lady and it was just wonderful! Would highly recommend this experience to everyone, as its worth its price.
Fantastic experience: Absolute heaven. If your in a couple there are seperate thermal suites which might be annoying. Coffee area not open during covid
Fantastic experience: Great place to relax.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant spa. Would highly recommend for both males and females looking for a VERY relaxed and pampered experience, whether staying in the hotel or not. Booking any treatments also gets you access to the ESPA's other spa facilities, so you can really make the most of your time there. If just getting nails or other small treatments, you have access to the upstairs thermal facilities. Or if having a massage, etc then you can also avail of the spa's pool and jacuzzi downstairs. The staff are lovely and always very friendly. Arrive a little early for your appointment to ensure you have time to be given a tour so you know where everything is and make the most of your "you" time.
