Fantastic experience: I recently attended a fitness class at David Lloyd and was really impressed by the high-end facilities and overall atmosphere. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was our incredible coach, Sakou. Training a group of moms, he struck the perfect balance between pushing us to work hard and making everyone feel supported and capable. His motivation, encouragement, and genuine positivity created a fantastic energy in the class. I left feeling challenged, empowered, and eager to come back!!!

Positive experience: I enjoyed a lovely day at the pool and Spa today. As a newcomer Hayley at reception was very friendly and helpful showing me around with great enthusiasm. The pool was lovely but no flags so backstroke was a bit of a problem. Very clean spa and changing areas. ‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I went to the restaurant a few times during the week and was served by lucy and christina and Kerry on separate occasions. What wonderful staff with amazing attitudes. Very attentive and helpful! Keep up the good work!!!

Negative experience: If you're under 18, this place might feel like Disneyland with dumbbells. But if you're an adult hoping for value, it's more of a theme park priced like a luxury resort—with none of the actual luxury. The tennis courts? Perpetually booked. Good luck getting a slot unless you’ve mastered time travel. The swimming pool lanes are overrun with kids’ lessons from dawn till bedtime—unless you fancy a moonlit dip at 10 p.m. The gym itself is mediocre for what you pay for but for the price, you’d expect more than one Smith machine and a forest of treadmills. Personal training is a jaw-dropping €100 an hour—not necessarily poor quality, but that kind of money could get you three months at a decent gym elsewhere. Just saying. Also, while the gym is technically for those aged 16 and up, I’ve seen kids roaming around looking like clueless sheep. The café area is actually pretty nice—a solid spot to unwind with friends. But don’t get too comfortable with your laptop. Pull it out and you'll be politely exiled to another table, presumably reserved for the sacred act of cappuccino consumption. Classes? good luck booking a spot in something like reformer Pilates unless you're free at 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. Which, last I checked, most working adults are not. And then there’s the spa area, which has all the ambiance of airport security. I came to relax, not to reenact TSA screening protocols. Bottom line: If you're a retired adult with money to burn and have too much time on your hands you might love it here.

Positive experience: A little bit dark as a gym but the staff are super and the outside pool is great. Food is not bad as well. Plenty of parking spaces.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Riverview….Great sports club with amazing facilities and amenities that can be enjoyed alone, with friends and family. My personal favorite is the Spa with its saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis and meditation rooms. The staff is great all around with special note to Laura who keeps the Spa area in great form at all times!!!

Positive experience: Gym is very basic has a hotel atmosphere to it. I would suggest a larger functional training area as the gym itself is about a decade behind the times. The pros of this branch are in the tennis and pool facilities only.

Negative experience: As a club that claims to be high end, why does your reception specifically emphasize that clients can only take one towel? I mean, sure, I can take just one, but why are towels only available at the front desk? After using the gym, sauna and swimming, am I supposed to reuse the same towel for showering again? Putting such a restriction on towels really comes across as stingy and unpleasant.Never seen this before in other clubs

Fantastic experience: We recently attended the Dinklicious event held at the David Lloyd court facilities and Wow! what an experience. Right from the moment of walking up to reception and the warm welcome and helpfulness from the staff up until the very end of the day and tournament. Thank you for hosting the event and for helping make it such a great success. The facilities you have are brilliant and we are really looking forward already to coming back to attend hopefully another tournament very soon. You've spoilt us for what we want to now play on.. Hands down the best experience so far.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Yvonne for hosting the Irish team for the EPF (European Pickleball Federation) to train and play in the tennis courts. I was very impressed of the amount of the quality of the tennis courts which we used to divide into 2 nice Pickleball courts. The natural light entering from above was spectacular. Also the spectators that can see our sport from the massive glass window from the restaurant was lovely. Also thank the gym to show others what our sport is all about and to thank the Fitzpatrick's for staying and coaching them for 2h afterwards.

Fantastic experience: I have always been a fan of David Lloyd Riverview, and one of the primary reasons for my love of this establishment was because of my experiences with Hilary in spa and reception. Walking into the gym, her smile simply lights up the room, and makes you feel just as bright! Such a lovely lovely woman, helping me out with all of my queries and any peculiar questions I may have. A very competent and understanding woman, with a great smile to top it off. We need more people like Hilary in places like this!

A small group of us representing Ireland in the European Championships in November got a high level, four-hour training session in, then put our coaching hats on and taught a group of 20 members for a few hours. Such a nice, friendly group who were thrilled to try pickleball. Big thanks to Yvonne for organising such a fun afternoon!

But none of it compares to the true powerhouse of the entire establishment—the ladies at the front desk. You know, Diane, Janice, and Emma. These aren’t just staff members; they are wizards of hospitality. They make you feel like you’re not just another gym-goer—they make you feel like royalty. Every time you walk through those doors, it's as if you’ve been mistaken for someone who matters. But then, there’s Hillary Brett. Ah, Hillary. She doesn’t just welcome you; she beams with such radiance that it could power the national grid. She makes you feel like God himself has booked you. It’s otherworldly. Here’s the thing—David Lloyd are completely missing a trick. I mean, why isn’t Hillary running dedicated classes on how to smile? Forget yoga or HIIT sessions. What we need is a masterclass in the art of the Hillary smile and charm

Fantastic experience: Classes at David Lloyds are great. Lots of choice and the trainers are excellent. Blaze studio is an added bonus. Spa is a great place to recover and/or chill.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant facilities, impeccable cleanliness and the food is always delicious! But the best thing about this club is the staff - so welcoming and warm a particular shoutout to Zoe on reception always greeting everyone with a smile and a positive attitude!

Negative experience: Have been members for so many years and used to be a really good place for leisure and workout. The service is getting much worse since the pandemic (Staff shortages, General manager changed three times, etc.) Hope its service will be back to normal soon, otherwise will consider alternatives. Updated review: While the facility and staff quality have shown recent improvements, I must give this gym 1 star due to their discriminatory pricing practices and problematic billing system. The main issue lies in their unfair treatment of loyal members. Contrary to standard business practices where long-term members receive preferential rates, this gym charges existing members significantly higher rates than new ones. The management seems to take advantage of member loyalty, assuming we won't leave despite the price disparity. The billing system is also seriously flawed: Class swaps result in double charging - you're billed for both the old and new classes Monthly statements only show total amounts without itemized charges Over the past 15 months, I've had to contact their team every single month to correct erroneous charges, including fees for classes I never registered for Word of caution to current and prospective members: carefully review your monthly statements. You'll likely need to actively dispute incorrect charges to get them resolved. The gym's recent facility improvements are overshadowed by these deceptive business practices and their apparent disregard for customer loyalty.

Fantastic experience: My usual gym with all the usual options of a fitness club but with some added equipment , cleanliness and attractive surroundings. Certainly safe for the little ones too and the restaurant is excellent with an array of healthy options. I’ve trialed many alternative gyms over the years but can’t bring myself to leave this expensive value added pastime!
