We will always find the time to have a meal here from now on it really is that good perfect venue to hold Ur special we just loved it thank you to all the wonderful staff at Ballykisteen and to Tess. The event organiser who had everything just perfect for us a day we will cherish forever

Positive experience: Great hotel, great staff. Apart from the outside area the hotel hasn't changed much in years. The hotel could do with a bit of updating, a couple of decent TVs would be a starting point. In general though beautiful setting and brilliant underrated golf course.

Positive experience: Hotel over all was nice. Gloria in the treatment room was the nicest. Lunch took nearly 40mins to come out for 2 sandwiches and a coffee. Dinner was nice but not blown away. Service was quick. Their was an issue with the bill as we were on a package but it took 4 staff to finally bring us the correct bill. Swimming pool was crowded with no life guard. Sides of the pool needed a clean. Rooms were nice and big. Breakfast was okay. Scrambled egg was gray and clumped together.

Fantastic experience: We had a great day golfing here recently. Eventhough the weather outlook was poor for the day, being avid golfers we battled on. The course was in excellent condition despite rain earlier on the week. One small problem on the day was that no buggies were allowed on the course because of the rain in previous days, and the course didn't supply electric bag carriers. We had to pull our bags but that didn't interfere with our group's enjoyment on the day. Food after golf was served by very helpful and courteous staff. Excellent day out and we will be back.

Fantastic experience: Great National Ballykisteen hotel is set in a rural golf resort located between Co Limerick and Co Tipperary a beautiful venue with plenty of car parking and perfect place to book and meet friends or bring family out for the day. Friendly staff and tasty roast lamb meal.

There are steps down to some of the rooms in the hotel. Their are no lifts or ramps down to the rooms that are down steps. Lovely coffee served here. Very easy to find using Google maps.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel with great facilities. We had 2 lovely dinners in the bar and in the restaurant. The breakfast was great too. Lovely golf course and views from our room onto the greens. Swimming pool is small but it wasn't very busy so unnoticeable really. Steam room and suana were amazing. Plus we had treatments in the spa which we loved. Room was great too and had all things most people would need. Reception was really helpful with everything we needed too ! Overall, great weekend in a lovely hotel. Thank you

Fantastic experience: The staff where brillant. They made every effort to facilitate my needs as I'm celiac. So I had most enjoyable experience. The meal at the wedding was hot and tasted so good . Which very often does not be case for me. Lovely hotel.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stayed recently and found the rooms spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and polite. We opted against having dinner at the hotel, but immediately regretted it - the food looked delicious and judging by the number of customers in the restaurant for dinner it probably tasted as good. The hotel is attached to a golf course, and lessons are available for 30 euro. There is also a pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and beauty therapist rooms. All in all, a good place, reasonably priced, handy for the local racecourse (across the road) and for Limerick Junction railway station. But is about 5km from Tipperary town itself and there is not much else around the hotel for an evening out unless you venture to Tipperary. Only other regret (apart from not having dinner) is that we only stayed the one night.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has attended swimming lessons here for a few years, I have attended several functions here and also stayed over once or twice...even though I only live 2 minutes up the road! I have never had a bad experience, the staff there are amazing, it has a wonderful feel to the place, great value for money also! I love this place!

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility with an amazing pool and friendly and helpful staff. The food is divine and very reasonably priced. We were looked after by a lady called Marie in the bar who went out of her way to make us feel at home and was great with our little ones. She was brilliant and will have us returning. I can't believe this hotel isn't 5*
