Fantastic experience: Top of the range machines, free weights of 50kg+, amazing classes, spotless swimming pool, excellent and very engaging trainers. All this along with the price makes it one of the most impressive public gyms I've ever been to. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, clean, quiet, very friendly and safe, always two lifeguards, in addition to the pool there is a gym, sauna and steam room. I've visited many swimming pools in Ireland and the one in Athy is the best in every respect. I recommend it.

Negative experience: Sunday 15th June 11,40 as I was a pay as you go customer , I was refused entry to the pool as I was told.it was busy but yet a family of 4 walk in And a few more otheres behind me just tapped there card pass and proceeded in. It obviously goes to show direct debit customer are way more important than PAYG .customers.!. I'm still in shock,

Positive experience: Great gym, only criticism is that it can get over crowded.

Negative experience: I paid 8€ to go into this gym the machines were all over the place then the electricity went out 2 minutes after I went in and everyone got kicked out and i didnt get a refund

Positive experience: The pool is nice but people wash their hair in the showers at the front of the pool area. I noted the swim academy and adult lanes on the timetable but leisure swimmers were also allowed. The ladies room needs a deep clean because the tiles though washed still have embedded dirt on them. In the foyer the sofas have been duct taped, which looks shabby. The tape wrist band is a new thing but it falls off basically paper and can pollute the pool waters. However, the gym area is in very good condition.

Positive experience: Water always to cold takes a bit getting use to

Positive experience: Old style pool with no separate kids play facilities but adequate. Lifeguards were nice. Front of house person we met was rigid. We had to wait 45 minutes for the on-the-hour session even though lots of people were leaving. It seemed a bit harsh.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant GYM, excellent equipment with state of the art technology. Loads of space. The changing rooms are small, however, the GYM itself makes up for it.

Negative experience: Complete scam of a company. I was in town for a short period, made sure it was known that I would be leaving town a month ahead of time. They acknowledged my cancellation. I blocked my card as I was leaving town just in case and, sure enough, the next month there was an attempted charge. They then tried to charge again day after day for five days and stopped. 19 days later, they charged again (for services I couldn't even use if I wanted to, as they suspended my account) and refused to refund the account, instead "doing me the favor" of cancelling my account for the next month. Only recourse seems to be filing a chargeback with my bank.

Positive experience: Great gym. I go there to swim. It needs a hot tub, they have a steam room and a sauna but no hot tub. It would benefit people with injuries like myself or older folks. Plus it's just very nice to sit in hot water. So please think about putting one in! Otherwise no complaints. The people that work there are very friendly and nice!

Negative experience: I would like to write a review based on my experience today. I’ve always used this gym absolutely love it, joined back again 4 months ago, amenities amazing, staff lovely and PTs can’t complain there but today a certain PT came up to me in the gym and said my daughter can’t be here, she’s 12. Their website states 12-15 year olds are allowed “supervised gym access” same as the pool membership says 6-11 year old children have to be supervised. It is not made clear anywhere that it doesn’t mean supervised by an adult but by a PT. The PT who approached me today was so rude and didn’t offer us the “supervised teen gym access” just said to leave the gym, wouldn’t mind if we were told just book for a one to one training but in fairness the customer service was appalling as someone who worked many years in cs I think certain employees need more training. The manager and girls at the counter are lovely, he was very helpful and accommodating to me as I was shocked to be spoken to like this by the pt after paying a membership for 4 months plus with my 12 year old linked, 5 days a week going to the gym and not one person said she can’t be here she’s under age. If it was stated clearly on the website then I would have known in advance but she has been attending the gym with me since I reopened my membership! This was in Athy club and I will be passing my bad experience onto Naas in regards to the pt who approached me. Other than this I love the facility and can’t fault it but staff like this bring it down.

Negative experience: Very expensive at €8 for a swim. They have stopped discount for social welfare recipients. Bad show.

Negative experience: Staff very Rude and Unprofessional, I didn't know there was a Time Capacity in the Children's Section, was asked to leave after 50 mins, we didn't even get the hour, the pool was packed to capacity and the Staff were so rude when we questioned them about the Times, A waste of €10, we won't be going back.

Negative experience: This used to be a good place to go and get some exercise but it has become short minded and customer dismissive centre. The focus is on how much can be gleaned from people first and service has fallen by the wayside. My kids were crammed into swimming lessons from 30 mins and told to get out as soon as the last second hit. The Instructors were doing anything but focusing on training them - chatting up lifeguard girls. Absolute joke and when I complained I was basically told tough. I do not recommend this place anymore and the only reason I gave it one star is because I couldnt give it none.

Negative experience: Scam. There is no option to cancel contract. Button simple does not work. But they keep charging you every month and to get any help from someone behind a desk is not possible either. No one gives a ****

Fantastic experience: Great place can’t recommend it highly enough. As a 65yr old non swimmer it can be a daunting experience going to a pool on your own. But I’ve found it great ,the staff from reception lifeguards and cleaner’s all so friendly and helpful. I now love my time in the water. Still can’t swim but I’m getting better. ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

Negative experience: Gym is tiny but you pay the same prices as giant gyms in Dublin where you're never left waiting for machines. 1hr 30 workouts yet you might never get a bench in that time. Equipment missing bits and benches rusting and ripped in areas. Only 2 squat racks. The owner just takes advantage of the fact there is no other gyms around.

Negative experience: Gym area is small, and doesn't have a large range of machines. I know they are expanding it. Although, now if the gym is even a little busy, there isn't a lot of space. The offer assessments for new members and programs to be made. I was rushed into my third session and told it was due to high number of people leaving before finishing all sessions. This lead to be being given a different trainer. I was then told by the manager that all my information would be passed to the new trainer. The trainer didn't even know my correct name, let alone any information about me. Then I was never followed up for my final session. Very inconsistent. Pool is good size. Average gym.
