The Spencer Health Club

Positive experience: Great pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Friendly staff. I won’t give it five stars because the showers are scalding, and it is hard to stand the temperature, which is terrible for the skin and hair.

Negative experience: Gym equipment old, rusted and tatty particularly the squat racks. Leaking ceiling was unappealing. Equipment is very old. Wouldn’t recommend.

Positive experience: The best thing they have is, without questions, their STAFF. They are kind and they will help and assist you. From the facilities perspective, the equipment is quite old, specially the cycles ones and the (only 1) elliptical machine. The swimming pool is 18 meters length, but the water is not clear (see pics). I raised my concerns with the members and they told me something about an air leak or similar; they insisted on the levels being within the legal requirements. The changing rooms are nicer, cleaner and bigger for females than for males; privacy is zero, and you can see inside of the showers from the swimming pool and the spa. they nailed a small piece of plastic to prevent the situation with the women's one, but not for the males. I told them 4 times and it hasn't been addressed for over a year now. They say that they will renovate everything next year.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always kind and helpful, they do seminars available for members from time to time and offers every month.

Positive experience: Lovely. Everybody very respectful at the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Staff is nice and facilities are high standard. Only thing that could be better is the cleaning of the showers. I was there Thursday evening and the showers were stinking pee :(

Fantastic experience: A good opportunity to use a sauna and a swimming pool in Dublin. The staff was friendly and I could have some nice chats with fellow customers. I will definitely come again.

Fantastic experience: Right in the middle of Dublin Financial district, the IFSC, this health club is great for those who work in the area and wish to avail of its gym and pool facilities during their lunch break or on their way home after work. Towels are provided. And coffee(Very important)!The gym,for small it may be compared to some other gym chains in Dublin, has everything. Classes are also thought. It is clean and-a note for parents-children are welcome to use the swimming pool for free(and accompanied by an adult). Staff is amazing! Professional and very friendly. You will feel at home here!

Fantastic experience: Frequent user. There are two peaks: first is in the morning from opening at 6 to about 8ish for the gym and 7 to 9ish for the pool (pool is always empty at opening). And second peak is in the evening at classic 530 to 730ish for both gym and pool. People working at the desk are super friendly. Classes are good and not too crowded but I've only done a few so can't comment on specifics. The studio can be used when classes are not in session which means you can plug in your own music! Also there is a speed bag and heavy bag for boxfit type workouts.
