Aura Trim Leisure Centre

Fantastic experience: I use the facility in trim daily both the gym and pool , the place it’s self is definitely old and well used but the gym has everything someone looking to keep fit needs ,the pool is basic but nice and my son loves it . The staff are all friendly and welcoming. One of the few places I can take my non verbal autistic son and his issues are never raised as a problem he is treated just like any other child so for that alone it gets 5 stars . Sure their are fancier places but it has everything I need . Good parking , changing and shower facilities, reasonably well equipped gym , nice pool and friendly staff .

Negative experience: Charging people for using the hair dryer after there shower to dry there hair is as tight as you get.

Negative experience: If you're not using the pool or steam room it's a very poor gym for the price of it. The gym floor is very small and the machines are poor quality. NB# Trim needs a commercial gym. Not a gym that requires you to the classes or be with a PT.

Negative experience: My wife just attended an aqua aerobics class and safe to say we won’t be returning if the new blonde instructor is doing it. My wife regularly attends the aqua and for the most part really enjoys it. However, there seemed to be a new instructor there today and shambolic doesn’t even begin to describe how bad it was! No interaction with the class whatsoever, instructions were non existent and my wife amongst others left after 20 minutes. I understand people have to learn but at same time gain some experience first before having the responsibility to conduct a class as they are pushing aside competent instructors. It just seemed like nepotism at its finest

Positive experience: Excellent location and plenty of parking. Staff are excellent including the new "Aqua Aerobics Girl". I use the gym and pool frequently and zero issues. My wife raves about the aqua aerobics and gym instructors.... Although it seems certain people (CH) on here travel the counties and go into every fitness establishment and fake major disabilities and look for attention and when they are not given 100% time and effort in the middle of a class of twenty or more they post false reviews for said attention

Negative experience: Unfortunately, the classes at Aura Trim Leisure Centre are lacking in accessibility. Instructors frequently overlook or disregard my disclosed disability, which has occurred multiple times in each session. Most concerning was an incident today when I mentioned my limited mobility to an instructor and was met with a sarcastic, “Well, what can you do?” — said publicly in front of the entire class. This was both inappropriate and deeply discouraging. Until there is a meaningful improvement in staff awareness and respect regarding accessibility needs, I cannot recommend this facility.

Negative experience: I arrived at the pool to use the steam room and was swiftly charged 10 euro, I told the girl at reception that I only wanted the steam room too. When I went to use it there was a sign on the door saying it was out of order, so I put my clothes back on and asked for a refund, as should have told me it was not in use. I was then informed there was a no refund policy and tried to fob me off with a free pass and I didn’t want it as the steam room wasn’t working. The level customer service is ridiculous and this is on top of having no showers, bollards blocking the exits and disgusting level of hygiene throughout. Avoid all costs.

Fantastic experience: Great place for the whole fam, gym is smaller in size, but very well equipped and the pool area is organised and enjoyable. Kid started swimming lessons today and had a blast, instructors are amazing and engaging and we had a nice time

Positive experience: Used the main Hall for badminton. The place looks tired and is in need of new nets etc a few benches would be very welcome too. Otherwise a good facility.

Positive experience: Nice place but lads would ye ever replace the broken machines FASTER. And ffs, change the loo roll fill the soap dispensers DAILY. Been stuck a few times!

Fantastic experience: When I first visited this aura about a year ago, it was in dire need of improvements, but I have to say, they definitely raised their standards and now they have new gym equipment (with some old barbells and plates still in the mix), I believe the sauna was redone or at least the wood looks fresh and the pool is pretty much spotless now. Granted, the men's changing rooms and showers downstairs could do with a bit of tlc (locks missing or not working, no shower heads to speak of and the furniture looks like it was power washed with chlorine), but they're serviceable and at least they're clean. The staff is great, they're all friendly and willing to help, so not sure about the bad reviews floating around. Overall, I highly recommend the place or at the very least worth checking out.

Positive experience: Aura trim facilities needs upgrading changing room is so grubby some lockers are broken and as for the pool itself the dirt that is on the floor of pool is disgusting

Negative experience: Never answer phone, never reply to mails or online form. Very poor

Negative experience: Facilities definitely need approving. Tile work in pool dirty and groomy looking. Changing rooms the same. I only go for my son to do swimming lessons as not many other options around. Zara the swim instructor is AMAZING with kids. I keep coming back vecause she's so good. Serious re vamp needed of the whole place.

Negative experience: Отвратительные работники и весь персонал !!! Пришли с мужем в воскресенье 26.05 в 17:00-+ купить абонемент на пол года за 55- евро . Заполнила все документы, муж заполнил данные банковские так как оплата будет сниматься с его счета . Сказали на регистрации девушка по имени Moria что в понедельник на почту вам придет договор , и приложение что бы сделать свой аккаунт через который делать запись на занятия ( так как основная цель аква аэробика ) на которую надо заранее делать резерв . Пришла в понедельник на аква аэробику , в ресепшен была другая девушка. Которая даже не знала и не нашла мои документы которые я заполнила в воскресенье… очень долго что то искала в итоге я ушла на занятия, пришла через час говорят надо оплатить сегодня всю сумму за июнь и конец мая -64 евро о чем нас с мужем не предупредили! Так как он заполнил данные своей карты что б каждый месяц снималась оплата … естественно я не ношу с собой мужа банковские карты… на что я попросила позвать менеджера. Которая отвратительна не умеет разговаривать с клиентами , с насмешками стоит глаза закатывает и смеется в лицо … очень не приятная отвратительная имя Robin manager … я попросила позвонить девушке которая работала в воскресенье и которой мы заполнили все документы наши !!! Итог муж вынужден был уезжать с работы раньше , терять свои деньги ! Тратить топливо ! Что бы по из ошибке приехать и заплатить … ‍♀️ сегодня уже вторник 28.05 у меня на руках нет договора! Нет аккаунта ! Я не могу сделать запись на занятия за которые я уже заплатила ! Имеется чек ! И эти отвратные работники даже не извинились !!!!!! И аккаунт я сделать не могу так как они не ввели меня в систему клуба до сих пор ‍♀️ я буду писать дальше в сам центр , тех кто выше этих «недоразвитых работников «

Positive experience: I have been using the gym and pool last summer/autumn. I had a personal trainer who was very difficult to make appointments with because they just kept changing her schedule on moment's notice which I found very disrespectful of my time and one of the biggest reasons for cancelling my membership. The place is overall dirty, run down and just looks depressing. one of the weights from set I wanted to use was gone and not replaced for months. The phone at reception is almost never answered. Loved the aqua aerobics classes tho would love to see more younger faces there.

Positive experience: your one at the reception has some kind of disability, other than that the pool is a great place and the gym isnt bad either. top #17 places to tug one out in the bathrooms

Negative experience: I don’t want to write badly, but this attitude towards your clients, who pay a lot of money, forces me to do this. I can start by saying that the premises are very, very dirty, there is dust and mold everywhere (this includes the swimming pool, changing rooms, toilets, gym). There are a lot of young staff working in the complex; they could break away from the chatter and do a general cleaning of the building. Terrible unsanitary conditions. The gym is dirty and dusty, and there is broken sports equipment that apparently no one is going to repair. The equipment is old, which is time to be replaced with new, more modern ones. Mirrors and windows are dirty. The instructor who was offered to me apparently came to the gym for the first time. He does not understand at all the difference in training for men and women, in training for tall women and for short women. After his instructions, joint injuries are possible (I wonder who should be responsible for this?). The changing room of the pool is also very dirty. Families with children come there, who can catch any disease. No one checks incoming adults for nail fungus. Washbasins are coated with lime, which indicates bad water, but there are products that can be purchased to remove this lime. Why does management treat their responsibilities poorly?

Positive experience: Great gym. Needs to get the leg extension machine fixed. - 8 weeks broken.

Fantastic experience: I attend the Aqua aerobics at the Aura in Trim. I love it. Each instructor is different but all give an excellent class that I feel is improving my fitness.

Positive experience: Joined Jan 2024. Love the aqua aerobics and Aura Flow classes.

Negative experience: It’s a shame that this facility is so incredibly dirty and run down as it has so much potential for being great. I went swimming here about 18 months ago but had to stop as the pool was too unhygienic and the changing rooms dirty and gritty. I came back last week in the hope that things had improved only to find the pool in the same state and the changing rooms in even worse condition. The gym is ok but won’t use because of the changing rooms.

Negative experience: Went in twice this week. The staff at the reception desk are the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. As someone who works in the fitness industry and greets clients on a daily basis this is NOT who you want at the forefront of a business!

Negative experience: went there yesterday for the first time...shoccking The place is filthy. Teenagers without supervision are left to play with the gym equipment while making crude jokes about the people nearby. Wals are coming into the part-changing area, which is far from clean. The women there use the same cloth to clean everything from the toilet seat to the sink to everywhere in the gym. Everything is rusted and full of mooch and greet. It is unfortunate that this is the only facility nearby.

Fantastic experience: Love it here. I pay as you go. I live in England but always go swimming every time I am in trim. I also use the gym too.

Positive experience: Lovely pool little slide for the children in the smaller pool. The staff were lovely but the stink of urine at the top of the communal changing area was horrible. The toilets and floors were absolutely filthy. This turned me off going back which is a pity because the 2 smaller pools are great for the kids

Fantastic experience: First time visited. Very pleasant experience. We only used the childrens end. The smaller pool is,brilliant for children and people who have mobility problems. It is compact. Also great if you want to be a spectator. 12 euro for a 4 year old and me and a great bit of fun. What's not to like ! The larger pool looked great ots of activity. I'll be back

Negative experience: Swim academy booking system is a joke. Complete and utter incompetence. 40 or so families standing in a queue for 2 hours. If you have cash you can skip the queue. Farce.

Negative experience: Probably best avoid this swimming pool in Trim. It has lots of hygiene issues. Communication regarding swimming classes is non existend.

Negative experience: No complaints with the actual pool and coaches. However changing facilities are grotty. Rebooking system for lessons is a nightmare. Communication to customers is severly lacking. Turned up for lessons today and was told there is a break in lessons. I was not told this when rebooking and no emails were sent. Instead I was told by a rude staff member that I should have seen it on the Facebook page or read the small print on my receipt. Good job they don't have competition in the area or they'd be out of business. Not impressed.....

Fantastic experience: Lovely swimming pool, well kept and children's pool great with plenty of toys. Works on a booking system so was glad it wasn't too crowded. Really liked that the changing room is communal and has plenty of family cubicles, made taking the two babies swimming much easier when we both can help get them changed afterwards in the same place. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: So far regretting my membership. Am being issued charges outside of my membership (charges i shouldn't be getting). After several requests still hasn't been rectified. Am unable to book classes online due to problems with the account. When we were booking our membership they guy who started to process our booking then cleared off for his break before finishing and left us standing there for over 20 minutes wondering what was going on. Coaches are nice, reception staff are 50/50. Some are nice some need to working on their customer service skills

The staff on the desk I found not really helpful some wouldn't even acknowledge you walking in. Also all the times i was there never once did they offer a membership or even try to explain it. I loved the gym and the pool and sauna just never found the staff very friendly at all

Navan is even worse so I have to use it here. poor hygiene condition. You do not want to know what is swimming at the bottom of the pool ... :(
